The Panini Press in Cheshire West and Chester

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Whilst working in Chester city centre for the week I was getting my lunches from here. The paininis are absolutely delicious. The meal deal is extraordinary value for money getting a panini, 2 sides and a drink for £8. Sides and drinks are good quality. The owner is absolutely firing on all cylinders doing a million things at once and doing it all extremely well. Also very friendly and polite. I will come here for lunch every time I am in Chester.

Bought 2 paninis and shared them with my partner, both were delicious. The man behind the counter was firing on all cylinders, taking orders, making paninis, salads, doing coffees, all kinds. Really hard working and the paninis show for it, will be coming here again, so good! Great lunch time offer as well.

What an amazing little spot. This was recommended to me on my visit to Chester, I spent a couple of hours in here having some coffees and people watching. The chap behind the counter was so friendly, it was great to hear him greet his locals and ask about their families, I listened to him recommending other local businesses and he gave me some great information on the city of Chester. I’d definitely recommend this lovely little place

I can’t speak highly enough of Panini Press! The service is amazing (I go regularly now) as a great lunch for work! I purely because I can expect great service and great food. I’ve never had a bad experience here, no matter how busy he makes time for every customer that walks through the door. The food is made to order and right in front of you (I can only handle a couple of jalapeños 😉) But the Cajun Chicken panini is my recommendation to anyone. Great guy working there and will continue to get my orders, I mean, all I do is walk in and he remembers my order and how I have it to the exact “T”. Thank you for the great service and food and I’m more than sure I’ll see you shortly! 👍👍👍

Sweet lord what a gorgeous lunch I just had. Panini with 2 cheeses, tom, onion and pesto - full to the brim. All gooey and tasted gorgeous. I'm a Southerner long way from home, but that lunch will fill me up until I get back to Surrey. I cannot recommend enough. Thank you

I came in to order an item today and immediately was made to feel embarrassed and belittled in front of people inside the shop as the last time I was apparently in there i Wasn’t happy as I ordered the wrong thing and got the wrong thing and wasn’t happy, In which i can confirm was not me, when I advised it wasn’t me, I was told I have a Doppler, which made me look a liar in front of people I work with who I was in a convo with during this aggressive tone of unprofessional outburst at me! I was in such shock and not wanting to complain In front of my work colleagues I called when I left the store and was made to feel my opinion was not correct about his customers laughing at the telling of I got, I will not/ never purchase an item from you again for how you have treated me as a customer and made me feel.

Unfortunately I can't give zero stars.......I went in the Panini Press a few weeks ago to get a lunch order for 3 of us in the office. I was greeted by a very grumpy, and unfriendly person who was abrupt and impatient. I could not decide between the choice of flapjacks they had and the guy serving me was huffing away. When I asked where a certain drink was, he pointed and said "over there" in quite a rude manner. Finally I asked if he could note down the prices and again he said in a rude and abrupt manner "the prices are on the bag". If a business treats their customers in this way, sooner or later the customer will stop returning, I will NOT be returning. There are many other sandwich shops in Chester who are pleasant and more than happy to receive my business.

I've always been fond of this place and ordered from there on and off. It's perfectly placed in Chester and right next to the bus stop. Meaning I could always grab a panini/wrap before work. This is more so a culmination of various reviews and orders, all great. Whenever I've popped into there, I've always been greeted with great smiles and great customer service. I've made numerous deliveroo orders, some pizza, some wraps. Always fantastic. The pricing has always remained consistent and is always great value for money, some places have decided to up their prices during the pandemic. Not this place. One thing that has really impressed me in the "Monthly Guests" part of the Luxury Panini selection, I'm not an especially adventurous epicurean so when I saw a pork belly panini on there with all sorts of unique ingredients I decided to try it and it was lovelier than I could ever expect. I'm so glad to see this place is still going strong and standing during an especially harrowing time for everyone. More than the quality of the food and the great service, that's the true testament to the Panini Press' longevity. Consistency at it's finest.

Highly recommend to anyone as my #1 place in chester. Staff go above and beyond to make sure you always feel welcome. The food is incredible, natural and reasonably priced. 5 star

Popped in as we are staying in Chester for a few days, just round the corner from where we're stopping and glad we did as the panini's were delicious! Really lovely service aswell.

I have ordered a few things from here whilst in Chester centre, but this was the first proper time from home - a good 10 -15 mins away from the centre. I ordered a pizza and salad to make it over the minimum and I was not disappointed. The salad was full of flavour and well chosen veg, the pizza was delicious and it was very hot still. The dough is perfect and the pepperoni is quality. I also like that they put the pepperoni on TOP of the cheese as some places don't! Every meal I have had from here has been good quality.

Panini Press deliver high quality and delicious panini (as well as pizza and sides). They offer a lunch deal which includes a panini, 2 sides and a drink for less than £8. You can't go wrong!!!! The panini are filled well and don't feel greasy when eating. I'll definitely be back again for another cheeky lunch time treat.

Best paninis I have ever had!!! The fillings are unreal, high quality ingrediants and unique combinations. I have tried various paninis and all have been amazing! The cheesy garlic pizza bread is 10/10, I intend to work through the whole menu eventually! Friendly staff and great value for money. Everyone needs to try this place, you will not be disapppinted!

Ordered yesterday 2 panini meal deals and was not disappointed !! Could not fault. The panini was so good and still hot and the side of flapjack was amazing too. Defo recommend and will be ordering again very soon!!

Called into Panini Press having not worked on that side of town since lockdown began and was very pleased to see it still going strong. The beef, cheese, mustard and chilli option was delicious and just the pick of up I needed to get me through to the end of the working week. Good job!

I am OBSESSED with this place!!!! Amazing small independent business! I work across the street and always wanted to go in to try it but unfortunately never got around to it until lockdown, as they were one of few places still delivering! One order later and I am completely hooked! The paninis are absolutely fantastic every single time! (And I’ve had a lot of them!) The meal deals are very good value for money and the dessert options are gorgeous! I rave about this place and cannot recommend it enough!!

Clearly don't want tradesmen in there as I was ignored for five minutes and then was served after a regular who had just turned up. No apology for the wait or explanation as to why I wasn't served in order. Avoid if you don't go often or wear a suit!

Got ignored for five minutes and then the rude man behind the counter proceeded to serve one of his regulars first instead with no explanation or apology. Not a surprise as the elitist and glacially slow nature of "deli" workers is well known amongst tradesmen.

I’ve not lived in the chester area long... was still trying to find places and came across the panini press on deliveroo. what a gem!! Everything I’ve had off their menu so far is amazing. The garlic bread has probably been one of the best I’ve had.

I have ordered panini press on multiple occasion and have never been disappointed. Their tuna mayo panini is gorgeous! Deliveries are always very quick, and the quality of the food matches the price. I highly recommend this place!

Had my first take out today from here although my daughter is a regular. We ordered 2 chicken and choritzo salads. Requested one without choritzo and that was no problem they gave me extra chicken. Salad was amazing. Very fresh and tasty. Service was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.I will definately return and recommend.

We ordered a mushroom, onion and cheese panini and a mushroom pizza that were delivered via deliveroo during the current lockdown. The food was fantastic! Fresh and delicious! The Panini Press has done it again! Upon finishing my final Xmas presents I took off to Panini Press to calm the nerves & re energise before my walk home to start wrapping! Great panini's, great customer service & great coffee! I was even given a demo on how to juggle chocolate powder! Delightful in every way! Excellent place, been many times. We were having a lunch at my place of work... So decide to have lunch delivered, and promptly arrived from Panini press and the combination of sandwiches fillings were Bob on! My colleagues kept saying these are good yummm!. Panini press is a tiny sandwich shop that my husband and me love! If we want to go for a nice walk to the river always get a panini on the go for lunch. Fresh handmade food that never disappoints. And the owner... he's fantastic! Always has a smile on his face and kind words to everyone. Love it!

My first visit to Panini Press, and I wasn't dissapointed. I was passing and the place caught my eye, and I thought I'd give it a go. I was greeted with a friendly smile, which is number one on the customer service checklist. Lots on the menu to choose from, and the quality was fantastic, very tasty. I'm glad I've found this hidden gem, I will certainly recommend, I will certainly be back!

I have bought my lunch from The Panini Press over 30 times now and I haven't had a bad one! There is an excellent selection of both hot and cold sandwiches on the menu, as well as a daily special and a soup/smoothie (seasonal dependent). But if nothing on the menu floats your boat Ben will be more than happy to create to order and Sukie will serve with a lovely smile. They also have an excellent selection of San Pellegrino drinks and do a great meal deal too. If you are going to visit regularly make sure to get a loyalty card too! Oh and they do a mean coffee - be sure to try the Hazlenut one (in-house joke!)

Cannot recommend that you try this pannini shop enough. The food is delicious and nothing is too much trouble for Ben and suki. Definitely give it a try you're missing out if you don't! Too many places try.... Here succeeds!!

I can't begin to tell you how many disappointing panini's I've had... But not here this place is just incredible! The menu is so well thought out and has stuff for the daring as well as all the old faithfuls. Every detail in this place has been thought out you can just tell from the sign above the door to the little prices of mixed diced peppers on the epic coronation chicken one ( they even have Sanpel grapefruit ) and the coffee is amazing as well defo the best blend in chester! The husband and wife team who's place it is are just a treat and I have a new favourite place so close I'm gona be fat again in no time!! Also the tiffin is epic!

I was wondering round wondering where to have lunch when I walked past this little shop looked in the window to be greeted with a big smile and thought why not! The gentleman in the shop was a real nice guy and the meatball special panini was just the best button in town far better than you'd hat a sub@?y. Great coffee also can't wait to be around again soon I'll be going back!!!!!!

I was recommended the Panini Press by a friend and it's easy to see how someone could become addicted to their sandwiches and upbeat vibe! After only a few visits now I feel treated like a regular and service has never been anything short of superb! If you can't find anything of their extensive menu, go off piste and order the 'Toasted Firestarter' ; Chester's hottest sandwich. You won't be disappointed! You may however need a cold shower. 10/10, I heartily recommend!

This is where 'filling a gap' is taken to 'eating delight', these sandwiches, wraps, salads are made fresh in front of you by a couple who live and breathe their own business. The ingredients are all fresh and the sandwich fillings are out of the ordinary, so if you are in Chester for work or play pop in here and wither take away or sit in for a lovely snack, cant speak more highly of this place!

I had a beef salad sandwich (my favourite) with Horseradish Sauce (ditto), I couldn't taste the beef or the horseradish! It was very nicely presented though........

I discovered this little shop about 6/8 weeks ago. I'm always looking for sandwiches around chester for my lunch, but have to say these are the best I'e found and I keep going back. They are more than generous with their fillings, nothing is too much trouble and they are always very friendly. Great little place!

Came across this place by accident today and loved it. We just needed a quick lunch whilst Christmas shopping. Had the panini of the day for £3.20 each, sat inside (there are only a few tables) and watched the world go by. Lots of choice and lovely, friendly ladies serving. Thanks - well be back!

In a typical working week lunch seems to end up somewhat neglected, and dull, but visit the Panini Press and excite your taste buds. There are plenty of healthy and delicious panini sandwiches to choose from if your feeling particularly peckish. Not only are they delicious and vary according to taste, but for something different, try their Goats cheese and peppers, pesto and rocket, or Beef Melt - roast beef, caramelised onion chutney and brie, to mention a couple. A pleasant warm greeting and efficient service from the staff for a quick snack. Lunch doesn't have to be fancy or complicated; just basic and nourishing. You will find the flavour of Chester for little money and its guaranteed to blow your socks off. Dont dismiss this versatile little cafe, be pleasantly surprised. Feel free to huddle up in a corner, then after lunch feel ready to face the afternoon with a smile. Good eating.

Not what I was expecting at all looked like a normal small takeaway cafe from the outside. Inside I got a warm welcome, fantastic service, a lovely fresh great tasting panini and one of the best lattes I have ever had. Highlight of my day in Chester.

The Panini Press is more a takeaway than a cafe. This is the second time I have visited. I would say this was one of the nicest takeaways I have experienced. The staff are extremely welcoming. The specials are wonderful. My latest was a toasted foccacia with chicken in a Morrocan spice with a lemon mayonaisse and salad. Absolutely delicious. The coffee is also very good. Why go anyywhere else. Great service and wonderful tasty food.
