Can't fault the service food very plain and bland and all currys tasted the same not of much and the room was full of smoke from food being cooked very uncomfortable to be in and the ques to get food where horrendous not worth all the built up hype on social media

First time. Will definitely go back.

We have visited buffet restaurants before and found the food to be hit and miss. This is different, totally focused on food and quality and range. If you can ignore the parenting of others letting the kids run around like it's a holiday resort buffet then visit.

Had a school reunion, food was delicious, plenty of space not cramped, good atmosphere, service was excellent, would definitely go again, highly recommend

Disrespectful and disgusting staff ,ignorant secondly nobody wants to serve you every one hiding lol.food is disgusting as possible, only chops they do you have to beg them n they demand you to wait 5 mins n then handover a single chop after attitude n nudge you not to come back if you do they show their upbringing Disrespectful.

Thought we would give this a try. As we have seen good things about it on the internet. Wouldn’t be returning the food was dead and the guy cooking the lamb chops was so rude. Didn’t take any photos as wasn’t worth taking a photo of big disappointment all round tbh

Nice big venue. Food was pretty decent with Lamb Chops, seek kebabs and chicken tikka ordered to the table. The service was a bit slow in getting our drinks but overall good value for money

When I went there most of the people were white, which might have been why their food was a little bland for my taste as a Lahori. The starters were below average, some of the main dishes looked way to disgusting. I only liked 2 of their dishes from mains. The plates weren't very clean, had to find clean one. The staff was polite though and the premises was clean, but was smokey due to open kitchen. Their stir fry noodle felt like maggi, I'm sure it's not fresh one. Desserts were alright. Overall, I would not try them again.

Toilets disgusting - cleaner was throwing dirty toilet roll on the floor and left insisting it was now ‘clean’. Asked about allergy and people on buffet had no clue as ‘they buy it in’. Took ages for drinks to arrive, had to ask twice. Can’t pay on card, only do transfer. Very loud and not a nice place to sit and eat. Saving grace was that our child ate free as he’s 2.

First visit to Palm restaurant. Plenty of choices of starters and main courss. Worth the price. No limit to how long you stay or how many times you go back for more food. Will recommend to friends and family and will definitely visit again

I went here 1 week ago and unfortunately the food was not very good especially the chicken wings. There was no flavour to the food and it was really hot inside and smokey. The only thing I liked was the fish pakoras so I'm not understanding the hype on social media.

Great selection of food, service was excellent. We had a great time with family of 16 of us for a 60th. We took our own decorations which wasn't an issue at all. Would definitely go again.

Went in we were told lamb chops need ordering, for table of 25 people 4 plates of chops came each plate had 4-5 chops in it, we asked for second round of chops it kept asking when they would come, literally waited 30 mins for chops to arrive. They purposely delay second round of chops like they want customers to be stuffed with other options and leave expensive stuff. I spoke to staff and said I want to speak to the owner he said they are not in but I am the manager when I complained to him he wasn’t bothered and said you can complain to the owner no problem.

Worth the money plenty of different dishes to choose from. Only problem was is the room sometimes fills will smoke think it when they using the grills a lot which irritated my eyes at times. The food Is fresh. Lamb chops sre delicious and cooked when requested rather than the normal buffet service. Good selection of mocktails I tried the mango majito which was very refreshing. Staff friendly. Worth a visit.

Enjoyed it. All the food I had was tasty and hot and also loads of it. We did go at 3pm on Sunday though. Everything clean and the staff were attentive and very friendly. I'll be returning for sure. One thing to note: there is no alcohol served and you cannot take/drink your own.

Probably the worst buffet place I have every been to. The food was bland. Some of the food was just over cooked. Chapli kebabs were absolutely awful, like as if they used ready frozen ones. The fish pakora I have no idea what that was as it was all yellow inside and couldn't even taste fish. Biryani was not biryani! It was brown rice. The desserts was ok but not great. The overall quality of food was just shocking. The staff however were very friendly

Parked up no issues. Was greeted with a warm welcome. The service overall was good. The food was poor quality for the price. When others around the same price offering higher quality products. Either lower prices or up your game. The starters bland and cold, chapli kebab was a joke, pizzas okay. Brown rice with lamb and the chef said it was their version of bhiryaani, joke! Curries, all same base, tasteless. The chefs are letting the place down. The soft drinks were fizzy, got something right. Desserts, average. Previous reviews have said similar. To the colleague on the counter taking the cash on 22nd Feb 2025 after 10pm, remember, it's not how many you've served on the day, it's how many return. Wish you all the best... Jzk'Allah.

The service wasn't good. The table they gave it us there was folk and food under the table. Food doesn't taste good at all only fish pakora and choose were better. Even my 8-year-old daughter couldn't able to eat rice. We went from far travelled for 40 minutes but so disappointing. We waste our money and time. When we back my daughter wanted home food. Not recommend it at all.

Decided to visit here after a friend recommended it. Reviews weren’t great but decided to give it a try. Went on a Monday night so wasn’t too busy. Plenty of parking for a Monday. Waiting area is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Soon as we went into the restaurant you’re hit with the delicious smell of bbq but it’s also very smoky in there on one side. We got seated quickly in a booth but it was so filthy with white stains against the green/blue seating, so we switched tables. Had to signal for someone to take our drinks order as no one arrived for 15 mins after saying they’d give us a minute to choose but then we had impeccable service from the second older gentleman. Such a nice guy! Water bottles are free which was a win win. The guava mocktail didn’t taste anything like guava but it was a solid 4/5. The soft drinks in a glass are also on the larger side so bargain at £2.95 ! The pizzas were fab, roast potatoes, wings. Plenty of starters. Chapli kebab wasn’t like the original chapli. A lot of the starters needed topping up and there were only 3 chefs working in the open kitchen. The fish was light but reminded me of pangasius. A lot of the starters were rubbery and lukewarm. Lamb chops were ok but not juicy and not much meat on them. Tikka and seekh arrive at the table in small chunks. There’s also red doner meat available in the buffet. The mains weren’t as great with lamb pilau being labelled as lamb biryani . Didn’t like the look of some of the curries it was all a bit mushy eg lamb and potatoes curry and the yellow chicken curry (korma?) The desserts were a massive let down. Stale cakes and everything looked as if it had been sat for a long time. The queue was getting bigger at the dessert stand no one would come and mann it. Had to remind a waiter that we were all waiting. Paid at till- bacs which was fine no issue. Gentleman was really friendly and kind. Decor is a 4/5 Service is 4/5 Food is 2/5 Sorry guys had high expectations but food wasn’t hot and desserts especially needs a bit of a revamp.

This place deserves more than 4/5! We visited tonight and our experience was absolutely faultless! The service was absolutely fantastic, staff were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The food was outstanding. An incredible amount of choice in every section. Everything was extremely tasty, fresh and hot. There was something to suit everyone’s taste. The price was amazing, especially the drinks which were extremely cheap. There was plenty of free parking right outside the restaurant. We cannot find anything negative to include in this review. We will definitely be visiting again, would highly recommend to anyone looking for some top tier Indian food! 😊

When reading the reviews or viewing the videos on tik tok, I had the expectation of the palm not being good. However, shahid one of the workers was super helpful and encouraging. The atmosphere coming was elegant and easy to find. When we went in we got seated and started to get our food. The starters were a good variety and super tasty. They bring grilled chops, chicken tikka and sheekh kebab to your table, also to add so full of flavour. I loved the main courses, I enjoyed all the flavours of each dish and ended it with their variety of desserts. Amazing service from the people at palm! I would definitely recommend this place , don’t give in to the negative comments and I can’t wait to come back next time. Thank you

We came here for valentines day all the way from Newcastle. For 49.80 for two people 22.95 per person plus a drink each. Can't complain. Loads of people there staff fantastic and choices of food was absolutely amazing

CASH ONLY and bank transfer NO contactless payments accepted. Just thought I'd mention that first as we only saw the sign on the way out but lucky we had cash. You can book and they will make up large tables for parties. We went without booking and were only waiting about 15 minutes. It's £20 per person and drinks are served at the table(extra). No alcohol just soft drinks and bottled or FREE tap water. Buffet style servings and clearly signed, starters, mains and desserts. Also serve pizza, which looked very nice too. They serve lamb chops to order and come round with plates of kebab meat, off the skewer and all included in the price. It was great to try new dishes some were a bit hot just make sure you have your water at the ready. So we had popadoms, sauces, kebab meat, samosas, beef curry, lamb khari, tarka dahhl, rice, saag aloo and for desserts, there were brownies, lemon drizzle cake, and a few more selections of cake and sweet syrup balls and about 4 different flavours of ice cream. Its quite noisy with everyone talking as its one big room and theres lots going on. But it was a great experience.

I always tell my wife that if we go a new place, either we ll find nice food or we ll a get a lesson for life. This place was definitley a lesson. Never coming here again. If you are indian or pakistani reading this. This review is for you. First of all they dont accept card payments although you can do bank transfer. Starters : i ll give them 5/10. Mainly they had fries which my kids likes. Pizza and pakoras were not so great. Veg samosas were again below average. In meat options. I think chappli kebab and lamb chops were good. Rest dont bother. Mains: 1/10 tried all and left them all. Naan/chapati was disgrace. Desserts. I think desserts save the day but i still wont rate them highly. You ll have to park in Asda. Will i ever come again. May be never. Lesson learnt.

Visited with my family and there was a wide variety of food which all tasted lovely. The atmosphere and availability of seats was nice. There was food options for kids such as chips/pizza/chicken nuggets etc. my favorite was chicken pakoras were so yummy I could eat more plates of those! There’s also a range of curry, noodle bar, salad station, sauces, lasagne, I actually couldn’t try everything in one visit so I will be back. Dessert had a lovely variety of chocolate cake, mint chocolate cake, brownie bites, Victoria sponge, raspberry white chocolate, and more. The ice cream is tub ice cream so it’s not the gelato texture/flavour but still was yummy. I will definitely visit again as a smaller group as there’s tables for small number of guests aswell. Overall I’ll recommend this place to everyone you will spend about £20-30 per adult and ages 0-3 go free

Very Disappointed We had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately it didn't meet expectations. We were very disappointed. The food was average, with very little variety. For 10 people , we got two lamb chops per person, a small plate of tikka, and half a seekh kebab per table. It was not enough, and the taste wasn’t good. The service was terrible, and the toilets were very dirty. We spent £220 but left hungry because the food was tasteless . The only good thing was the decoration, which I would rate 10/10, but the food gets only 3/10. We won’t be coming back.

I went to this place on Saturday 11th January 2025 as our family wanted to have a nice evening out. We heard mixed reviews about this place but thought we will judge it ourself. From the outside looks very nice and welcoming, walked in to main hall and no one greeted us so we sat down ourselves, the carpets were horrific and filthy. Normally in buffets a person has 2/3/4 plates of different foods. But I had 1 as it was that bad. The kebabs were oily, chicken wings disgusting. I think the only nice thing was chips and the coke. Lamb chops we only knew existed as we seen others eating it but even when we got it, Was too chewy and over burnt. I did make the manager who was collecting the payment aware of how rubbish this place was but there was no apology or acknowledgement just ignored it and carried on with another customer. So terrible customer service also. Overall it was terrible and dirty that I wouldn’t recommend this place to my enemy nevermind friends or family.

The curries was fantastic i could say if you like any hot curries like homely cooked I could suggest palm, The starters was not upto the mark no quality and also dessert was not fresh, Service was slow and easy nobody bothers for you naans once i ordered it was on table after 10mintz, I ordered chos and kebab when i went for thrice memebers of staff each other looking at. I don’t know why they’re so confused to serve chops or kebab. I would suggest to train your staff members and also increase the quality of your starters.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! We decided to try this place out, saw reviews and videos about how great this place was... The food was terrible! Also the gulab jaman was horrendous. Had an awful texture and taste.w There was not one thing that was good. I don't understand why this place has a 4 star rating!! First time I've ever left a buffet hungry... Edit: almost 3 weeks since we visited The Palm and yesterday we went to My Nawaab for a family birthday dinner. My Nawaab was amazing!!! If you want to go to a buffet, go to My Nawaab!.... The food was oily and flavourless it was just spice and chilli. They had undercooked rice and barely any options other than curries.The only good thing was the childrens food , pizza and chips. We had to ask over and over again for cups and our pepsi was served warm, flat and with no ice. Our server was rude and did not even speak to any of us the entire time. Overall the experience was not worth the £200 we paid for 7 people. Terrible food and options. Would not recommend

Worst place m family and I have ever eaten, and we travelled for over an hour to get there. Horrific food, greasy, inedible chops, dirty plates, slippy floor. Worst still, was charged far more than price states on the website. This was for Xmas day and was in contrary to the price displayed under their “festive menu”. Was told “prices can vary”. To top it off, could not use card machine and was asked for cash or bank transfer - I did not trust the venue given their bizarre pricing so opted for cash. Was escorted to a cash machine. Please don’t visit. No respect for customers, unethical prices and terrible terrible food. Shocking!

Nice selection of food on the buffet, options for halal, vegan & gluten free. A busy place so make sure you are on time. It has parking however not a big car park. We parked in the Asda across the road. Service was ok however the table was not set correctly and our party had to move around to accommodate the restaurant hence the 3 stars for service. Overall a good place and prices are reasonable compared to others

CASH ONLY! There is a cash machine at the Asda close by. The staff were very nice and attentive, clearing the used plates away quickly. A fair bit to choose from and it’s all of a decent standard but nothing was delicious. Worth the money if you’re hungry and want to fill up with lots of food for fairly cheap.

We went to the restaurant on a Wed night and had a few customers in. We ordered a cocktail and a glass of Lemonade, we had to send the Lemonade back as it was flat like water. The waiter brought another glass which wasn't much better. The starters was ok, the fries were a bit soggy and not crispy and were luke warm. The other starters was quite good. Whilst we were eating our starters, one of the waiters brought us a small plate of complimentary kebabs and chicken tikka, which was unusual as they were not available at the buffet - the kebabs were really nice. The main courses was good although some of the items on their website were not available. We also ordered some vegetable noodles ( you have to ask for it ), they were dreadful, the noodles were all mashed up and did not look like noodles. The deserts were average, ie icecream, cakes and a few Indian deserts, nothing special. Warning to everyone, TAKE CASH, there is a big sign at the payment desk that says cash only, there is nothing on their website that stipulates this.

Hi went today to a Bangali owned and run buffet restaurant palm restaurant Oldham 19.95 adults 9.95 child upto 11 starting with starters to much takeaway starters not traditional starters ie Indian/pakistani no seekh kebabs in starters then was told we don’t have space for seekh kebabs doesn’t even make sense it’s the main starter they keep them in the back and only give them when you ask they tell you they will bring to your table seekh kebabs and grill chicken tikka waited 20 mins no one comes to your table waste of time and very low standard service you have to go and ask a few times then they have lamb chops again you have to ask and wait another 10 mins for that to come starters are not great their fresh yogurt was off and tasted sour their main dishes are are good and they do not advertise what they keep in the back it seems to be a secret which is misleading its customers. the fish was like it had been there for days it was off nothing in this place is fresh looks like they carry it on to the next day. The desserts were a disaster I rate it 2 out of 10 There was 6 of us on table after waiting 15 mins they bring 1 seekh kebab broken in to 6 pieces and 6 pieces of small chicken tikka what an embarrassment over all never seen that before ever. Jelly rock hard gulag jamun they don’t know how to make kheer using broken rice ice cream so hard and tasteless I don’t know wether it was cheap supermarket ice cream when asked for a jug of coke they bought the drink and the fizz was completely offf then they bought it again this time it was right overall the service is lowest in its class I will definitely not recommend this place it’s only worth £9.95 for adults and £4.95 for kids no more the best of the best ate all in Manchester. They guys really need to spend proper money get proper chefs and offer a higher class service the toilets stank they never even bothered cleaning the toilets every hour how pathetic can you be. A massive improvement needs and upgrade of professional management needed the only thing I did like there was friendly staff spend some proper money and don’t hide the food In the back. I rate it overall 1 out of 5.

Delicious food excellent service

Great variety of tasty food, always available and always hot. Service is fantastic, all the staff are very warm and friendly. This has become our go-to buffet and we have brought different friends and family members on multiple occasions who have all been equally impressed, especially for the price. I love that you can order lamb chops, seek kebabs and chicken tikka to the table at no extra cost, and jugs of water available free of charge if you're on a budget. My kids are especially a fan of the unlimited ice cream. A great choice for date nights and families, and notably very popular with large groups and work parties.

Fantastic value for money (card not accepted) This was easily the best all you can eat Indian buffet I have been to. Travelled 23 miles to try it after a dacebook ad and was not disappointed. Fresh salad bar Selection of pizza and lasagne if you don't like curry. Well I do and we had a choice of beef 2 lamb and 6 chicken curries all were various strengths so something for everyone. It did have biryani and 2 vegi optios but I gave them a miss as I'm not a rice fan or a veg. Fresh char grilled lamb chops were unlimited but had to be ordered but were great. A good selection of meat chicken and veg starters too meant you could have a massive variety to fill up on. I was not going to fill up on bread and poppadoms bit naan and chapati were also available. No alcohol was available but I was driving so not an issue l. There was a dessert section too but I chose to finish with more lamb chops. £20 a head made it a trip worthwhile and I will be back The service was great and the place was well lit and immaculate with the cleanliness and the furnishing were comfortable

Lovely people!! Servers and owner are so polite and wonderful people! Curries could be a little bit thicker, otherwise taste is stunning! Only other thing to improve on is turn the heating up abit, my second visit and could 100% come back again!

This was an 'Indian' buffet restaurant featuring most of the usual suspects. A place I've seen several times hyped up on social media, so it has some expectations to meet. It was easy enough to find and decent enough parking, though if it was busier, I think you would struggle a bit. They have a big waiting area, but as it was not overly packed, we walked in straight away and got a seat. Initial impressions are good as they have a newish attractive deco and vibe. The instrumental Asian music is pleasing, so the atmosphere was pretty good... but I did hear some complaints of a smoky atmosphere, but it didn't bother me much. We were given instructions by the waiter. Lamb chops had to be ordered, and they would be brought to your table. The problem here was that they didn't explain that they would be bringing sheesh kebabs and chicken tikka pieces over in a plate. So it was placed on the table while we were all away getting food. On returning, we thought someone had dumped their unfinished food plate on our table... esp as it just had a few small chopped pieces of a sheesh kebab and some chicken. We had to check to confirm it was for us. They tasted OK, but it's a bit weird that sheesh kebabs were not available on the self-serve buffet.. Drinks and tap water are available as well as mocktails which look good... maybe next time. They have a good range of starters, they were not piping hot but warm enough to eat straight away. I liked the fish pakoras, Peri chips and pakoras. All the other starters were good enough. Decent range of salad and sauces, but I'm sure the hardcore buffet people will find it lacking. They also had lasagne, pizza slices, chicken flats (labelled as wings), chapli kebabs and few other items. Something different here was the lamb and chicken donner options on the sell serve... it tasted alright but could have been warmer. The best chicken was from the chicken jalfrezi next to the donner (not in the round curry containers). The chicken pieces were well cooked and soft. The masala was nice and spicy and hot. Maybe this is why it was kind of in the featured section... The other curries seemed like they kind of tasted the same, I took several meat and chicken curries to taste aswell as keema. I wasn't overly impressed, but it was ok. There is no distinct taste for any one curry. I did think some of the curries were too oily for my liking. Rice seemed a bit unappealing and dull. Naan was more like flat bread, not the proper fluffy stuff. Poppadoms were bit stale. Dessert had a good range... portions of cakes, etc.. were small, but as you can ask for multiple pieces and return again for more, it's not a big issue... I enjoyed the warm Gulab Jamun and bubble gum ice cream... But it's no gelato ice cream... so I'm sure some people will not enjoy the texture of it. The lamb chops plate was a bit of a miss. Ordered 4 but got 5. Some of the chops were more bone than meat... like two small bites... the meat was too chewy. The masala was good but mostly masked by the powdery charring taste... too much charring or burnt. Overall taste and options wise it's a good buffet for the average Joe and the price.... but some people may find it lacking in a few areas. Cash only or bacs... which is not good, really, as card machines are cheap and much more convenient. Luckily, one of us had the cash... otherwise, you'd have to pop out to get cash and rejoin any waiting queues. I've been to worse buffets, so this is one I could def visit again sometime...

First time at the palm, food was amazing and so much choice, all food was hot and never waited for anything as it was always being filled up, mocktails were amazing, staff are very polite, will definitely be returning

This was an 'Indian' buffet restaurant featuring most of the usual suspects. A place I've seen several times hyped up on social media, so it has some expectations to meet. It was easy enough to find and decent enough parking, though if it was busier, I think you would struggle a bit. They have a big waiting area, but as it was not overly packed, we walked in straight away and got a seat. Initial impressions are good as they have a newish attractive deco and vibe. The instrumental Asian music is pleasing, so the atmosphere was pretty good... but I did hear some complaints of a smoky atmosphere, but it didn't bother me much. We were given instructions by the waiter. Lamb chops had to be ordered, and they would be brought to your table. The problem here was that they didn't explain that they would be bringing sheesh kebabs and chicken tikka pieces over in a plate. So it was placed on the table while we were all away getting food. On returning, we thought someone had dumped their unfinished food plate on our table... esp as it just had a few small chopped pieces of a sheesh kebab and some chicken. We had to check to confirm it was for us. They tasted OK, but it's a bit weird that sheesh kebabs were not available on the self-serve buffet.. Drinks and tap water are available as well as mocktails which look good... maybe next time. They have a good range of starters, they were not piping hot but warm enough to eat straight away. I liked the fish pakoras, Peri chips and pakoras. All the other starters were good enough. Decent range of salad and sauces, but I'm sure the hardcore buffet people will find it lacking. They also had lasagne, pizza slices, chicken flats (labelled as wings), chapli kebabs and few other items. Something different here was the lamb and chicken donner options on the sell serve... it tasted alright but could have been warmer. The best chicken was from the chicken jalfrezi next to the donner (not in the round curry containers). The chicken pieces were well cooked and soft. The masala was nice and spicy and hot. Maybe this is why it was kind of in the featured section... The other curries seemed like they kind of tasted the same, I took several meat and chicken curries to taste aswell as keema. I wasn't overly impressed, but it was ok. There is no distinct taste for any one curry. I did think some of the curries were too oily for my liking. Rice seemed a bit unappealing and dull. Naan was more like flat bread, not the proper fluffy stuff. Poppadoms were bit stale. Dessert had a good range... portions of cakes, etc.. were small, but as you can ask for multiple pieces and return again for more, it's not a big issue...
