Just got back fr Seven night stay hotel lovely and clean as were the bedrooms but rooms dated sower over bath not good if not very mobile lack of power points so take a extension with you if you want to u your phone or tablet on the bed food average and service slow so food can be served dry on top as it has sat around the one coming complaint was the bar where the young man just shut whenever he liked always early so if you go out for a meal or to catch a show be careful as the bar could be shut when you get back as guest tri to explain this was part of there holiday relaxing with a late drink one of the guests tried to tell the bar man in all other hotels they co get late drinks his cheeky answer was. ( not in this one ) we were told when booking in the bar would close about 11.30 but this young man just thought he would close when he wanted and often you could go to the bar he would not be there god knows where he was he must cost the business a fortune in lost revenue

Stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my birthday, lovely hotel and food was amazing. Staff were friendly and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly.

The Palace Hotel in Paignton really is the best thing about Paignton, very classy, very smart. Lovely service. Lunch was delicious. Would highly recommend. It's a cut above everything else in Paignton. 10/10.

Very big double rooms, spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds. Tasty hot cooked breakfast with pastries, yoghurts, fruit and cereals. Nice friendly staff. Singers in the bar occasionally. Small but very nice pool with sauna steam room snd gym. Right on the seafront. Windows on 2nd floor only open an inch or two so can feel hot in rooms on a hot day/night.

It may be dwarfed by the modern hotels along the seafront but the Palace offers the kind of ambience and service that can’t be replicated. We enjoyed a light lunch in the gentile surroundings the lounge served by professional, smartly suited staff. A touch of class that will hopefully continue to thrive in these changing times.

A very typical Victorian hotel that has been recently renovated very well. Great location. The Reception staff were very good.

Not good for Sunday Lunch... burnt Yorkshire puddings and very small portions... better value elsewhere.

Rooms cold. And breakfast looks like it's a child's portion

A lot of changes since we last came (two years ago) a lot of younger people running the restaurant.i don't drink tea or black coffee and now if you have a latte you have to pay extra.toast now you have to do yourself in which I don't like.people touch the bread in stead of using the tongs..we sat down to watch a show and when we asked ( reception)which room it was in we sat there waiting just to find out I was in the other room and was now full up

Lack of heating in the room. However, food was good, free parking

Honestly don’t understand how this hotel is 3 star. Better than many 4 stars I’ve stayed in. The facilities to the staff to the sea view rooms. I will definitely recommend and we will definitely be coming back. The fine dining 4 course is just amazing quality and value. I don’t think I have a negative thing to say about our whole experience. Thanks to all the staff and I look forward to returning

We had a lovely long weekend here in mid-March. The room was spacious and very warm. We were very comfortable. The meals were excellent and we enjoyed the pool and sauna too. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was located a short walk from the town centre and from the picturesque Paignton harbour, with several nice restaurant/bars. My only gripe was that the hotel ran out of draught beer after the first evening and they hadn't ordered another barrel. As they were hosting a Welsh Male Voice Choir this was an error.

Great place. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. They can take dogs too. They price matched the room costs. I will definitely come again. Good for disabled as they have lifts and stair lifts.

Nice enjoyable stay. Right near the pier, it has some evening entertainment. Staff are very friendly and helpful and it was clean. The only negative is that the floor boards creak, so if you have an early riser staying above you, then you're waking up early.

Love the Palace Hotel. My second visit this year.

Use to be a nice place for a coffee, seems to have gone down hill.

Returning guests and the staff are still the best. Had a different room but still great. Worth upgrading and taking advantage of early booking deal. Our only place to stay when in Paignton. You’re valued as a returning guest. Not all hotels do this.

Absolutely beautiful Hotel. Food was fantastic and hot. Rooms were very clean but the bathrooms need a little updating but that’s not enough to put you off staying there. Only gripe is that on the last day I noticed in the welcome pack that there was a complimentary tea or coffee for us both upon our arrival which I didn’t see. To be honest, the Receptionist should have told us about it. Our room had a lovely view of the sunset as well one evening which was quite dramatic
