The Oyster Shed Billericay in Rushcliffe

I came across this just by chance when looking for our Saturday night takeaway treat I love seafood so thought I would give it a choice I had a platter for myself £19.99 plus some beaded crab claws the crab claws were delicious and the platter had loads of choice and plenty of seafood loads of dips well stuffed and well pleased they even apologised for being 6 minutes late no problems give it a try

Absolutely amazing! We had the Cromer Crab baguette, Bacon & Scallop roll and a hot sharing platter and we loved every bit! This is a seafood shed next to the railway pub on Billericay High Street. Fresh seafood, friendly helpful staff AND beer! LOVE IT!

This is an amazing business that sells delicious seafood, Rio was so helpful and kind after I was trying to arrange a platter for a 93 client of mine. This lovely lady went above and beyond and delivered the platter on her way home from work (a service done as an extra, knowing I couldn't deliver), it's nice knowing there are still kind people out there and I will be recommending to everyone.

Fantastic quality Seafood. The Cockles and Whelks are the best in Essex. Always fresh and clean. A perfect addition to the High Street !

This is just what Billericay needed! I have ordered platters for takeaway & have eaten in the marquee many times and the food is always amazing. We had hot lobsters & chips which were cooked to perfection! Also the cold seafood is always fresh even the platter for one you get plenty! The hot food on the menu is great too. A few faves...Popcorn Shrimp & Ho Prawns with Chorizo. The Owner & the girls are always very helpful :)

Visited for lunch, the owner wasn’t there and the food was below his normal superb standard, when I informed him he took immediate remedial action, so I have no hesitation in recommending anyone to visit this great venue with a good varied menu

Just what Billericay needed! This is the best seafood I've ever eaten. My wife is Spanish and fresh seafood is their specialty and she admitted that this is some of the best she's ever had. everything is fresh and made from scratch I front of you, something I've never seen before in a restaurant of this size. It's cool, it's quirky, it's relaxed, it's rustic and the food is phenomenal and this is the vibe! There's nowhere else like this in the UK. IT'S DELICIOUS!

Its been a month since my last visit do I returned to see how its changed. They now have a new chef planning an extended menu and opening for long. Well worth a visit. Trip advisor moderator I have nearly 1400 reviews you have rejected this review 4 times despite it conforming to ALL the rules.

Great owner who clearly loves his job. Tandoori prawns were really nice, properly cooked (not until they are hard). He made me have rabbit food (salad) with it but it was nice. Bought home a selection of fresh seafood for dinner.

It’s a stall it’s a little parking area there four days a week. It’s run by a couple of people who are really pleasant and chatty, it’s clearly very popular and had quite a crowd there. They do fresh shell fish but also a few choices cooked. I had one of my favoutprites of calamari in batter, was slightly uncertain as the batter looked quite thick, but I was wrong, it was well cooked and nicely presented. The calamari wasn’t greasy despite deep frying. Also bought crayfish tails and mussels, and razor clams to cook tonight. Helpful chatty and interesting people who helped me to sort out how to cook the razors. I will be very likely to be returning soon

So glad this place has opened up, I was growing tired of having to go to Leigh on Sea all the time. They do a great selection of hot and cold seafood and as the owner goes to Billingsgate daily to make sure he gets the freshest fish I was able to order a whole wild seabass from him and it was excellent
