This pub is extremely cute and has so much character! You should definitely stop here at least to see it, but highly recommend the food as well. We got traditional pub food (burger and chips), plus a Cobb salad and corn ribs, and everything was delicious!! Would post a picture of the food, but we ate it too fast 😁

We went here for dinner with 12 people. Had made a reservation but unfortunately they were not ready yet. We were the only ones upstairs, so it seemed like we were sometimes forgotten. Friendly staff and excellent menu and prices. Several dishes were just a few of them. This was told right away, except for one. The waiter had to come back for 1 person because the dish was no longer there. We had a very nice meal there. Many types of beer and other drinks. Definitely worth eating there.

I usually stop off here for dessert, because their sticky toffee pudding is amazing! The interior is stunning, and the young lady that served us for the night made the nights end seem truly wonderfully, and felt appreciated as a customer.

Super Sunday roast dinner for family of 6. Worth every penny, nice atmosphere, live music, very helpful staff.

Go to pub in Salisbury. Great atmosphere, staff polite and helpful. Granddaughter loves it, she has chips by the fire 🔥 Can't comment on the food as we've only had chips, always great though 👍 Great pint of Guinness.

We had a great pub meal in the Ox Row Inn. The food was great, pie and mash / curry burger. Service was excellent, all the staff were friendly and attentive. Would go back again for sure. The London Pride was great as well.

We had a work function in area upstairs at The Ox Row Inn, great experience overall! It's a lovely little pub. The service was really friendly. Very easy communication and booking process. We were sat in a private section, though there was a bit of noise coming from the kitchen. We could use TV with HDMI cable for video conference, one thing we missed was having a working microphone, which would have added to the experience. Despite those small issues, everything else was well done, and I’d rate it a solid 4/5 or 8/10. Would happily return!

Find a table of 6 for us even though they were very busy. Food first class.

Had an excellent Christmas Day Dinner

Well me and my wife and friends went for a meal Sunday 5 January 2025 I found it very expensive for what you get my dinner was cold they took it back to replace it but it come back heated up in the microwave. Very poor for the price. If you want to pay over the odds this is for you

Large bright pub with a range of beers and other drinks. Service was good considering how busy the pub was. The food was tasty and the menu had something for everyone in our group.

This is a lovely pub on the market Square. Always good service with a smile from the bar staff. The prices are on the high side but not above what you would expect for its great location. We always go here when in town.

Thank you to Dave and his team for a great evening on New Year’s Eve to celebrate my Mum’s 80th birthday. The Food, drinks and service were excellent and thank you so much for the complimentary bottle of champagne and the balloons and banners. Highly recommend The Ox Row Inn.

Havent been in this pub for many years but we gave it a try as i really fancied a sunday roast. All i can say is that it is probably one of if not the best roast beef dinners i have ever eaten the meat was cooked to perfection my partner had a shoulder of lamb and i had to help her finish it. The staff were very freindly and helpfull compliments to the chef aswell. I am definatly going to eat at the ox row next time im in Salisbury

I visit this very popular pub once a year at Christmas for my annual Salisbury sojourn. Great selection of well kept and presented real ales coupled with fast and efficient service. Why go anywhere else? I did briefly one year but came straight back. Stick with what you like.

Had our company Christmas party for 18 people and were really impressed with absolutely everything. The pre-ordering was easy, if I called and had questions they were always so helpful! The food was delicious and all came out on time. The whole process was made really easy. Really lovely venue, I'm really pleased! We'll be back next year if you'll have us!

Delightful olde world pub serving good tasting food up market from general pub grub

Just been for a drink. Seemed like a nice place until we were asked to move table by a member of staff because a group of 4 wanted ours for their own quiz. Lots of other tables available but they wanted the one that we were seated at. Had planned on returning the next night for a meal, but won’t be going back, ever.

This place used to be packed on a weekend afternoon, visited today and the clientele was scarce, ordered a pint to be told it was £6.75, thats why the place is half empty. Stop taking the piss and go back to reasonable prices

Amazing pub/restaurant! I literally had the best shepherds pie in the UK in this place. The design is nice and it’s very clean and tidy. We were very satisfied with our food, drinks and service. Highly recommended!

Went for my BFF s bday drinks their bottom less brunch is excellent they had vegan cheese platter as well and made me mocktails. Good service 👌

Had lunch here on a private tour of the surrounding area. We asked for a pub lunch as we were visiting from Australia and this was a perfect spot. The meal was delicious, the gin was superb and the atmosphere was delightful.

Gutted, disappointing! Not from the area but had eaten here before and was lovely so booked in for Sunday lunch last minute. Staff were accommodating fitting us in within the hour however the food and service from then on was poor. Both mine and my friends meal was cold, to which we had to get up and speak to a member of staff about. They were taken away and returned after just being warmed up in the microwave. You would expect at the price you’re paying to have a fresh meal (we’d had two mouthfuls of the meal prior to this). After returning the meals to us, we were basically avoided by the waiter after that. Didn’t bother to return and check whether we were happy. The Sunday roast was also missing an item which it states on the menu. The chicken, lamb and Yorkshire puddings were tasty but the rest of the meal was very poor. Roast potatoes didn’t taste fresh and weren’t crispy- which is a crime for a roasty! Carrot and parsnip wasn’t roasted enough so just looked unappetising and wasn’t very tasty. We did speak with the manager and he was very apologetic and said that the food, drinks (2 x soft drinks) and any desserts we wanted were on the house- we politely declined the offer of dessert and left. Upon leaving we said thank you and goodbye to the waiter to which we got ignored! Hoping the feedback is taken onboard as it’s a lovely pub, ideal location, nice atmosphere but won’t be rushing to return.

Visited this pub at lunchtime today, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman assume he was the manager who seated us promptly, we were given time to look at the menu ordered drinks then placed lunch order, food came out piping hot and tasted delicious I had the burger which was not like any burger I had tasted before, husband had fish and chips and son had the venison the food was excellent staff in general were friendly and gave a good service will definatly return and recommend this pub to others.

Had a very delicious homemade burger with triple cook fries. Would visit again.

Managed to walk in and get a table on a Saturday night. Staff were helpful and the pub food was everything you would expect. Happy to come back here again.

WITHOUT PREJUDICE. AVOID AT ALL COST ON MONDAY MORNINGS. I have been a valued customer of the Ox Row Inn for decades. But since the unfriendly and offensive Salisbury Chess Club started playing there on at Monday's 10-12am it is not a nice venue so me and my friends will no longer attend as Micheal.P in particular is a nasty piece of work.

Great authentic pub with a great atmosphere slap bang in the middle of Salisbury City centre. Food is ok, a step up from Wetherspoon but much more expensive for what it is. Service could be better as they like to have group chaps amongst themselves whilst punters wait the order at the bar. It wasn’t until I took a photo that one came over to serve, somewhat disgruntled.

I sat outside with a pint of HSB in the autumn sun watching the world go by.....the market square is delightful to people watch. What is there not to like. Plenty of dog walkers and like minded pub goers doing similar having a break and drinking in the sun, and sampling Fullers fine offerings.....but. HSB was fine at a price, the pub inside slightly corporate affair as is some Fullers these days, not my thing. But it serves a purpose. Pleasant. Ubiquitous staff wearing t-shirts, polished bar says it all. But they smile and make pleasantries.

Everything very good. We arrived a few minutes before the kitchen closed and they waited for us to take and prepare our order and were very attentive explaining to us what the dishes consisted of. Very delicious food, and great atmosphere. You feel immersed in the story. Totally recommended.

Staying in Salisbury for an evening ,early exit at hotel so had a sit around market square.......blimey open at 10.30 on a Sunday!!!!!.Art market and people watching ,a few pints then bus back to Poole ,decent ales and friendly staff,well done .

Excellent to recharge batteries, had a couple of beers and super delicious spicy wings.

Never eaten although the food looks good. A suggestion I would make however would be to add a red meat pie to your menu (beef or lamb) not just a chicken pie! That being said, fantastic selection behind the bar including a decent selection of ales which is nice to see

We stopped here for lunch on Saturday. What a fabulous place, great service, decent menu and good value. The portion sizes were good and seating comfortable and although it was busy we didn't feel rushed and the staff were still polite and chatty. A nice meal (sweet potato tagine was fab!) and great way to break up our day in Salisbury.

Visited for a sunday roast, no outside seating left as it was a sunny day so sat inside. The interior was spotless and I found a table easily, ordered food from the bar along with my drinks., after about 15 minutes our meals arrived, roast beef and a roast chicken along with veg and gravy. Both were perfectly cooked and very tasty, we enjoyed a leisurely meal and relaxed after. I would recommend the Ox Row to anyone who wants a roast in Salisbury centre.

Excellent hostelry on the market Square

Delicious INN. A taste of England, memories of Texas, and Spain. Jaime our server was pleasant. He was patient and took the time to help us with every aspect of our meal. We felt as if we were with England here. Everything was delicious. The main star was then Tomahawk. They did not disappoint.

Nice pub. Don't be fooled by the QR codes on the tables - no table service, it just takes you to their menus. Got 3-deep at the (small) bar area so be patient if it's a busy time

Fun pub right in center of town. Food was good and service great.

It was 4pm, so I asked if they were still serving lunch, and they said no problem. I found a seat and went to order some drinks. They served the drinks without any issue. Once served, they told me that they were no longer serving food. Very disappointing.

Very welcoming. The food was delicious. Alfie the bartender recommended sausage and mash. It didn't disappoint. The wine he suggested went perfectly too.

Fantastic, friendly and attentive service provided on every visit by all the Staff, but must call out Alfie, who since he has started has made himself memorable for all the right reason, congenial and service perspectives.

Ok and nice place and location but there was a mixup with our reservation, we were able to reserve table before the kitchen was open. Also they did not serve their “Signature dish” Ox cheek lasagna even if it was advertised. which was a bit of a let down. Quality wise the food was ok.

Poor lunch steak ciabatta with 4slices of over cooked meat?roll cold straight from the fridge. Not worth 11 pounds or so. Very loud conversation next to us some self important Salisbury type. Not recommended

Food overpriced and half of it was forgotten. Even when we asked, we didn't get everything we ordered and paid for!

Time for another drink. One thing I really like is the cosy and warm atmosphere. Btw service was good and quick. Chilled beer goes very well in hot day. Plenty of seating inside and out there too.
