Nice place, good food, and quick and courteous service. Great pub atmosphere in general and dogs are welcome. Recommended.

Amazing pub/restaurant! I literally had the best shepherds pie in the UK in this place. The design is nice and it’s very clean and tidy. We were very satisfied with our food, drinks and service. Highly recommended!

Really nice pub. Friendly staff nice variety of beers food was amazing and when it was time at the bar we were not rushed no cleaning going on around our feet to indicate we were in the way. Excellent

Had lunch here on a private tour of the surrounding area. We asked for a pub lunch as we were visiting from Australia and this was a perfect spot. The meal was delicious, the gin was superb and the atmosphere was delightful.

Gutted, disappointing! Not from the area but had eaten here before and was lovely so booked in for Sunday lunch last minute. Staff were accommodating fitting us in within the hour however the food and service from then on was poor. Both mine and my friends meal was cold, to which we had to get up and speak to a member of staff about. They were taken away and returned after just being warmed up in the microwave. You would expect at the price you’re paying to have a fresh meal (we’d had two mouthfuls of the meal prior to this). After returning the meals to us, we were basically avoided by the waiter after that. Didn’t bother to return and check whether we were happy. The Sunday roast was also missing an item which it states on the menu. The chicken, lamb and Yorkshire puddings were tasty but the rest of the meal was very poor. Roast potatoes didn’t taste fresh and weren’t crispy- which is a crime for a roasty! Carrot and parsnip wasn’t roasted enough so just looked unappetising and wasn’t very tasty. We did speak with the manager and he was very apologetic and said that the food, drinks (2 x soft drinks) and any desserts we wanted were on the house- we politely declined the offer of dessert and left. Upon leaving we said thank you and goodbye to the waiter to which we got ignored! Hoping the feedback is taken onboard as it’s a lovely pub, ideal location, nice atmosphere but won’t be rushing to return.

Visited this pub at lunchtime today, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman assume he was the manager who seated us promptly, we were given time to look at the menu ordered drinks then placed lunch order, food came out piping hot and tasted delicious I had the burger which was not like any burger I had tasted before, husband had fish and chips and son had the venison the food was excellent staff in general were friendly and gave a good service will definatly return and recommend this pub to others.

Had a very delicious homemade burger with triple cook fries. Would visit again.

Managed to walk in and get a table on a Saturday night. Staff were helpful and the pub food was everything you would expect. Happy to come back here again.

I do love the Ox, it is always the first place I stop in town. Lovely atmosphere, great staff and perfect location.

WITHOUT PREJUDICE. AVOID AT ALL COST ON MONDAY MORNINGS. I have been a valued customer of the Ox Row Inn for decades. But since the unfriendly and offensive Salisbury Chess Club started playing there on at Monday's 10-12am it is not a nice venue so me and my friends will no longer attend as Micheal.P in particular is a nasty piece of work.

Great authentic pub with a great atmosphere slap bang in the middle of Salisbury City centre. Food is ok, a step up from Wetherspoon but much more expensive for what it is. Service could be better as they like to have group chaps amongst themselves whilst punters wait the order at the bar. It wasn’t until I took a photo that one came over to serve, somewhat disgruntled.

I sat outside with a pint of HSB in the autumn sun watching the world go by.....the market square is delightful to people watch. What is there not to like. Plenty of dog walkers and like minded pub goers doing similar having a break and drinking in the sun, and sampling Fullers fine offerings.....but. HSB was fine at a price, the pub inside slightly corporate affair as is some Fullers these days, not my thing. But it serves a purpose. Pleasant. Ubiquitous staff wearing t-shirts, polished bar says it all. But they smile and make pleasantries.

Everything very good. We arrived a few minutes before the kitchen closed and they waited for us to take and prepare our order and were very attentive explaining to us what the dishes consisted of. Very delicious food, and great atmosphere. You feel immersed in the story. Totally recommended.

Extremely poor service , 30 minutes between my wife's soup arriving and mind . Seemed to be very disorganized

Staying in Salisbury for an evening ,early exit at hotel so had a sit around market square.......blimey open at 10.30 on a Sunday!!!!!.Art market and people watching ,a few pints then bus back to Poole ,decent ales and friendly staff,well done .

Excellent to recharge batteries, had a couple of beers and super delicious spicy wings.

Never eaten although the food looks good. A suggestion I would make however would be to add a red meat pie to your menu (beef or lamb) not just a chicken pie! That being said, fantastic selection behind the bar including a decent selection of ales which is nice to see

We stopped here for lunch on Saturday. What a fabulous place, great service, decent menu and good value. The portion sizes were good and seating comfortable and although it was busy we didn't feel rushed and the staff were still polite and chatty. A nice meal (sweet potato tagine was fab!) and great way to break up our day in Salisbury.

Visited for a sunday roast, no outside seating left as it was a sunny day so sat inside. The interior was spotless and I found a table easily, ordered food from the bar along with my drinks., after about 15 minutes our meals arrived, roast beef and a roast chicken along with veg and gravy. Both were perfectly cooked and very tasty, we enjoyed a leisurely meal and relaxed after. I would recommend the Ox Row to anyone who wants a roast in Salisbury centre.

Excellent hostelry on the market Square

Delicious INN. A taste of England, memories of Texas, and Spain. Jaime our server was pleasant. He was patient and took the time to help us with every aspect of our meal. We felt as if we were with England here. Everything was delicious. The main star was then Tomahawk. They did not disappoint.

Ordered 5 old fashioned cocktails which was our second round of them, only for the bar man to get stroppy and start swearing because he couldn’t be bothered to make them! Disappointing to have one person let down a typically good establishment

Nice pub. Don't be fooled by the QR codes on the tables - no table service, it just takes you to their menus. Got 3-deep at the (small) bar area so be patient if it's a busy time

Fun pub right in center of town. Food was good and service great.

It was 4pm, so I asked if they were still serving lunch, and they said no problem. I found a seat and went to order some drinks. They served the drinks without any issue. Once served, they told me that they were no longer serving food. Very disappointing.

Fantastic, friendly and attentive service provided on every visit by all the Staff, but must call out Alfie, who since he has started has made himself memorable for all the right reason, congenial and service perspectives.

Very welcoming. The food was delicious. Alfie the bartender recommended sausage and mash. It didn't disappoint. The wine he suggested went perfectly too.

Ok and nice place and location but there was a mixup with our reservation, we were able to reserve table before the kitchen was open. Also they did not serve their “Signature dish” Ox cheek lasagna even if it was advertised. which was a bit of a let down. Quality wise the food was ok.

Poor lunch steak ciabatta with 4slices of over cooked meat?roll cold straight from the fridge. Not worth 11 pounds or so. Very loud conversation next to us some self important Salisbury type. Not recommended

Food overpriced and half of it was forgotten. Even when we asked, we didn't get everything we ordered and paid for!

Time for another drink. One thing I really like is the cosy and warm atmosphere. Btw service was good and quick. Chilled beer goes very well in hot day. Plenty of seating inside and out there too.

Called in after watching an outdoor production of Hamlet. Three young people serving, actually, I’m 70 so they were very young people. Very polite and friendly great service and good selection of beers, although not much of the real ale that is available in other pubs.

Cozy pub where we rested from a walk through the city.

A good experience. We had a party of 13 and the staff worked hard to accommodate our needs. Food was good value and plenty of it. We would go there again.

Large and friendly pub with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Food looked good and Sunday Lunch was clearly popular here.

Booked their private dining space upstairs for a family birthday party. It was a busy Saturday on a bank holiday and they were busy but this didn't stop them providing excellent service. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend!

Bar snack menu really small portions for the price

We were on a coach day trip today 30/4/24 and we called to have lunch . We had Fish and chips which were one of the best we have had , cooked perfectly and loved the minted peas with it as well . Lovely glass of a Pinot as well . Staff very friendly and helpful .

A brilliant town centre pub. Great location excellent food and drink. Can get really busy on market days. Excellent staff lovely beer and a varied menu. A must visit place if your in Salisbury.

We had lunch here and I must warn you the bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich seriously lacks brie. On asking for brie to be added we were told it comes with just a smattering of brie - you have been warned! Not cheap.

Very poor value for money, tasteless pie, overcooked pastry and a meagre scoop of luke warm creamed potato , staff polite and helpful, surroundings pleasant but wouldn't bother again.

My wife and I were here in 2017. It was a really nice spot, with pretty decent Fish n chips.

It's amazing to me how much a sign could make a difference when picking this place to eat. I'm not sure if the staff deliberately choose not to let potential customers know that they also serve food upstairs or if they just think everyone automatically knows that this is the case by mind power alone. Myself and two friends stopped here for dinner on an early Saturday evening a few weeks ago. After standing at the bottom of the stairs waiting by the sign for someone to ask if we wanted to eat, we decided to take a look upstairs ourselves where we discovered the area was practically empty and two staff members who were having a good old chat about their lives. After waiting for them to finish their chat, we asked if they were serving food and if we could take a seat. I feel the only reason this place wasn't busy upstairs is because of the unfriendly feeling people get from the front of house staff and the misunderstanding that there is also another floor where you can relax and order your food despite it being busy downstairs. The food is really good and well worth the money, I think with a little tweek here and there, this would be a great place to stop

Meeting friends from USA Ordered traditional roast beef dinner. Very disappointed as the beef was overcooked, dry and chewy- served with quite a good selection of vegetables - cabbage,carrots leeks and parsnips plus large Yorkshire pudding. Plate cold hence food not hot enough. My friend ordered two drinks pint of lemonade and lime plus half pint lime and soda charged £15. !! Very disappointed ☹️ just

3 cask ales. Wide range of keg beer lager and cider. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Dog friendly.

Went here on new year's eve was pretty empty the staff service was ok not really up for any chit chat and the only thing they were playing on all the TV screens was American football, overall it was alright in there not very entertaining and quite boring. would go again but probably in the summer when it's busier.

Great pub on Salisbury Market Square, atmosphere is buzzing, a great venue to meet up with friends, sit back and relax with a pint or 3. Historical building that brings back memories of a traditional English pub.

Yum, had the Fullers London Pride Pie, so good, big meal, came out quicker then app predicted. Cool place but not quiet. Staff were 👌 awesome.

We managed to get a last minute booking today and we had such a lovely meal. I feel awful not getting our servers name but we came in at 12:30 he was amazing with my 2 young boys and even made a competition for them to keep them busy which they loved! The food was amazing the staff so friendly and its so festive in there!
