Absolutely Fantastic food, friendly staff and well presented.

The food was good but not enough. You had to wait a bit but not too long. Typical English charm inside.

This place is a little treasure! The bao buns and loaded fries are so tasty! Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Loved it!

Limited menu, although the food was very nice. Staff were friendly, and the place was busy (always a good sign)

Great little pub with a fine selection of ales. The food looks interesting but haven't yet tried it so didn't give it a rating. Based on the menu, what I saw delivered and the prices it certainly looks appetising.

I was in hartlepool visiting family and wanted to go somewhere for lunch. The owl was recommended and I was not disappointed. Exceptional food. A great selection of beers although I was driving. Just brilliant. I will definitely be back next time I'm in hartlepool.

The food was really nice and I love the variety of different beers that they have.

Surprisingly busy, DJ upstairs, not as many beers to choose from as last time I visited, but still enough.

Came here during quiet Sunday lunch. Great decor, music and vibe. Banging Bao buns and jackfruit fries in thick curry sauce. Super friendly staff Big Wave on tap. Loved the experience❤️

A lovely firendly, quirky upbeat bar, more like something you'd expect in York or other trendy location. The staff are so helpful and the menu is fantastic featuring unusual spicy and non-spicy choices from Japan, Korea, china, vietnamese and others. Not a raw fish or sushi menu at all...delicious loaded fries, panko, katso, and the smash burger was just heaven. Honestly this extremely charming, trendy little restaurant bar is a total gem and we are so lucky to have them in Hartlepool. Just occasionally everything in a food place is done right and the Owl proves how right something can be. I strongly recommend you try this venue ... its low-key, trendy lovely atmosphere offers a great experience at a great price. BIG FANS !!

Been here quite a few times now, food has been Amazing every time, always a good atmosphere, one of the few places in hartlepool I'd recommend for food.

The home of Bao Buns in my opinion. Lovely rustic looking premises with a great selection of guest beers and food to die for. Happy hour deal is also excellent value for money

Really delicious food, lots of unusual and exotic flavors …not too spicy just full of deep rich flavours ..we all had different dishes for four people and everyone loved everything…such a nice team of people running it all. TRY IT !! Fresh and delicious…100% ten out of ten !

First time coming here and the food was spot on. Ordered the katsu chicken fries and it was delicious. Lots of drink options. Venue is decorated lovely. Has a nice vibe, clean and tidy. Trendy little place. Exactly what that area needs. Person who took my order and drinks was attentive and friendly. Will be back again.

Nice bar, good beer. Football was on though so only had a quick one then popped next door. Didn't eat so not rayed food.

The food here is really good and the service was incredible! Someone behind the bar let me try their timmermans strawberry beer which was really nice but I chose to go with their owl Belgium pilsner which also really good. Thank you so much for the amazing service :)

Very cool place nice atmosphere great food .

Decent prices, the meal deal thing comes with loads of food so it's super good if you plan on splitting the bill with some friends and sharing. Also good music, and the coffee martini thing might be one of the best things to ever exist.

The owl is a hidden gem. We got the midweek special, which was 2 Bao, 1 Gyoza and a portion of loaded fries - everything was beautiful, and it was very filling. Some great beers too, we'll definitely be back

Stumbled upon this by accident and had some of the most delicious gyros I’ve ever tasted. Dog friendly, attentive staff, AND they sell the best of all soft drinks: Fritz-kola. I’ll probably never be over this way again but if I was, I’d come back 100%

Smashinggggg. Well hidden down Scarborough street but Hartlepool is lacking in this kind of experience, bistro and menu. Heavily prioritising eastern cuisine, IPA's and carribean cocktails; the Owl is representing a HUGE range of diversity in house, with it's amazing Bao Buns, Loaded Fries and Gyozas', the kind of dishes not found anywhere else in Hartlepool. Incredibly friendly staff, fantastic prices and an absolutely exquisite interior design, I think I've found my new favourite restaurant in Hartlepool. Cannot recommend this place enough, a swear, you should f* spoons off and check out this class gaff just behind it.

Great little pub located just off church street. Good selection of craft ales which change on a regular basis. Nicely done out. Food very nice. Great toilets, very clean. Well worth a visit.

Tasty and authentic Bao’s and more! Loved the cocktails. Fab service. Gorgeous deco. Hot chef. What’s not to love!
