Great to be back, with friends and neighbors, in this family owned pub.

Ok bar, let down by slightly naff interior decor. Outside seating area is ok but on a surprisingly busy back road. Very good Guinness though, and great prices - pint of that and a lager for £9.80.

Absolutely amazing - I will definitely recommend the burgers 🍔 Kids loved their meals too 😋 And the beers 🍻 were ice cold

what was once a cosy village pub is slowly being turned into a sport TV bar with 3 and sometimes 4 big screen TVs blasting away all the time. New management, higher prices. lost its appeal to a lot of people

Didn't have food but made welcome the moment we walked in the door excellent service good range of drinks and very friendly locals, lots of things going on leek/ flower shows quiz night. Wish I'd had more time.

I found this lovely place by chance when looking for somewhere to stop off the motorway. We received a warm welcome to a cosy pub at the heart of a community. Really nice food and very reasonably priced. Don't hesitate to visit! 🙂

This was a lovely little pub, cosy and warm with a really lovely, friendly atmosphere. The staff were great, the customers at the bar all said hello as we came in. The dining area has been tastefully decorated and the tables are well spaced. The food was amazing! It's proper pub food but done really, really well. The pie was to die for! The prices were really reasonable as well. All in all it we had an excellent time and would highly recommend.

Went this evening for a meal after seeing reviews online. We were not disappointed, not a large menu which I prefer as its better to do a few things well than a lot of things poorly. The steak pie and lamb shank were delicious as were the cheese and biscuits and lemon cheesecake. The prices are the lowest of any pub I've been to around Carlisle. The staff were warm and welcoming and you could tell they took great pride in what they do, we will be back.

Check opening times before you pass other open pubs intending to have lunch here! Sadly this pub is closed more days than its open. Quite disappointed after cycling from Bowness by Solway to this location.

Complete by chance discovery. Driving g ho e to Scotland decided to take junction 40 off the M6. Instead of heading to Carlisle we went other direction to see what we could find. Ended up in town of Little Corby and The Otter Inn. A real wee village pub with great food and atmosphere. Good service and friendly locals too. I had the chilli which was lovely, wife had Gammon steak and son had burger. Not a drop left on any plate. Believe the steak pies are even better.

Friendly owners, great food and lovely ambience sum up this small village pub. It is tucked away from the main routes, but absolutely worth seeking out.

Went for dinner last night and had a great time. Food was fantastic and brilliantly priced! Really good service in a comfortable setting. Would definitely come again. Only discovered it via trip adviser so thank you to those who suggested it!

We had a wonderful meal here on Saturday evening. The staff were extremely friendly, the beer was good, and the food great value. Recommend the curry which was gorgeous !

What a wee gem! We just wish it was closer to home. The owner was born to work in hospitality. Good quality, honest pub grub at amazing prices. The locals were so friendly and the pub had such warmth and charm. We will be back to sample the crumble ; ) Thank you for the warm welcome and delicious food.

It's a lovely little village pub with a big warm friendly welcome. Had a great meal,recommend the steak pie and the sticky toffee pudding was excellent. Menu is simple good honest pub food, beer was spot on, atmosphere welcoming and relaxed. Highly recommended 👍

Basic pub grub but very friendly and would recommend. We had booked a table cup final night and although were asked to arrive earlier than booked they were happy to honour our booking Tasty food . Homemade deserts Nice evening we ate outside Good prices too

Had a 5hr drive to Carlisle to take care of some business and a quick visit to a friend found this little place. The staff were ever so accommodating friendly welcoming. Did us a quick meal and we headed back to London another 5hrs. Locals were friendly. Didnt stay long but from what I'd seen it was very clean...

This friendly pub has been tastefully renovated - parking just down lane. Food all home cooked and owners couldn't have done more. Log burner welcome on a Storm Ciara night. Come off A69 after Co-op for Little Corby and you won't be disappointed!

Otterley fantastic. Great value, super tasty food, great staff, dog friendly and good booze. Really welcoming, we'd definitely go back when we're back in the area.

Good food and excellent quality and great hospitality

We enjoy coming as a family to this lovely village pub, but the experience is enhanced by the extra care and consideration we are given to enable two of our family to eat in comfort and be able to communicate during the meal. Not many people understand the problems of hearing aid users in a public place, but we very much appreciate being allocated a quiet corner, where the nearest speaker is turned off, and the light level good enough for lip readers. The hosts checked that we were all OK and served up a delicious meal for us all. Thank you very much. Best wishes to Shaun for a speedy recovery, but the ladies are doing fine!

Super village pub that also does excellent bar meals. Steven Wilson's steak pies are to die for! Always 2 real ales on tap,. I'm told the menu can get a bit "samey" if you dine there a lot and perhaps a bigger variety of veg would be nice. Whenever we go past there always seems to be something going on for locals - and visitors too, darts, monthly quiz, music nights, social events. .

The Otter Inn is a traditional pub with a very good restaurant. The landlord is a true publican - friendly and a good host. The restaurant area is comfortable and has a pleasant atmosphere. The beer is good and the food of a high quality and cooked to the standard of a good class restaurant. I can certainly recommend The Otter and wish I had discovered it much earlier.

Very welcoming owners, beautifully and sympathetically restored which has made this pub very inviting, enjoyed our pint , we will becoming back with our dogs as they are allowed which is always a plus in my book.

Loved it was a shame I only found it on the last day of my holiday. Great food, great staff, friendly relaxed atmosphere.

We called in for a drink, being new residents in the village, and were so impressed by the friendly welcome and good menu choice, that we booked to bring the whole family the next evening. We all enjoyed an excellent meal, promptly and courteously served, in quiet, modern, tasteful surroundings. Good choice of food, good value and a selection of local ales. Will be pleased to call this our local in the future!

Beautiful little pub/restaurant. Food was amazing. We had the lamb shank in minted gravy. Perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely go back again.

We were staying in the area and were lucky to fall on the pub. It appears the pub has been refurbished and the overall feel is fresh and comfortable. The landlord and a couple of locals at the bar were friendly and welcoming. The beer was good too. Overall we had a good drink in a quiet village pub.

This is a lovely little country pub. If you just want a pint or a glass of wine and a natter, it's there. If you want food it's there too, and it's delicious and great value. The monthly pub quizes are great fun too. Nice atmosphere, super-friendly landlord and lady - what more could you want?

This recently refurbished pub has a warm and friendly atmosphere. It’s light and cheery, comfortable and on chilly nights the wood burning stove is lovely. The hosts are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They serve traditional, honest, home cooked pub grub at an affordable price - and it’s delicious...steak pie, fish and chips, gammon etc - plus homemade puddings. Full marks for the quality, the service and the ambience. This is not a romantic meal out but this is a really good home cooked meal. Many thanks for a very enjoyable evening, we will definitely be back.

It has a lovely atmosphere. It's dog friendly which is perfect for many dog walkers coming past. A family pub with pleasant decor, welcoming staff, delicious pub grub.
