The Ossory Arms in Central Bedfordshire

Attended a wake for my Brother-in-law . The staff were very friendly and helpful with everyone . Food was well presented and good quality . It's a lovely little pub . Highly recommend . Must go back in happier circumstances .

Collected hubby from their in the evening. It has a car park around the back . Set back on a rabbit warren of tight roads with parked cars.

Called in on an invite from our daughter and son-in-law. Lo and behold only a karaoke. What an evening we had. staff were incredible and everyone was friendly. Brilliant evening

The staff were all very friendly and efficient. Both of the outside seating areas were lovely. Inside was clean and tidy but would benefit from an update to match the outdoor areas.

This sanctuary is tucked away in a quiet side street. Friendly and welcoming. A relaxing place to visit.

Good pint of Guinness Sport on TV Lack of real ales but otherwise OK

The only pub I have ever seen Corona on tap..... absolutely glorious!!

Brilliant pub, great staff. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Love coming here. They have a jukebox which is great too.

Lovely people, nice boozer, please change the lights! They were like xenons they were so bright, I spent the whole time squinting at the tv. Others commented on this also.

Visited with my wife, two young grandchildren and our dog. Great that we were all welcome in the pub. Bar staff very polite and engaging. Great beer.

Popped in the Ossory Arms after the Christmas light switch on and so glad we did ,lovely atmosphere staff were fantastic it was very busy but never waited long to be served the dj was fantastic to,all four us had a lovely evening .

Great table service, friendly staff, go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable

I have been a regular of this great pub for many years. The landlady and staff are amazing and the snack menu excellent. During these horrible times they have had to adapt but adapt they have, and well done to them. Social distancing applied throughout and great table service given. I look forward ti be able to return in December.

Drink prices were okay. No menu given. Music was on and off all night and staff pick and choose when to enforce masks and social distancing.

Fantastic pub, if like me your not a local you will need to ask how to find it but it's worth it. Locals are very welcoming and it has a good feel to it.

Nice pub down one of the back streets of Ampthill. Worth a visit, and they sell Punk IPA which is fantastic.

A lovely local , with a mixed clientele & and a friendly vibe. The staff are approachable and professional and the decor is comfortable and inviting 5* highly recommended .

I visit the Ossory Arms regularly. It a fab ‘local’ pub. The staff are both friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is always great. There are big screens for all major sports events and there are regular events on including a bbq every Sunday through the summer along with occasional music nights through the year. The food is fantastic pub grub and I must recommend the breakfasts (especially the Big Oss). The two outside seating areas are pretty. Definately recommend a visit if you are in the area and looking for a a drink or food in a nice setting.

Good atmosphere staff make you feel welcome

As with any local pub, personal experiences can differ. However I've been frequenting the Ossory Arms for quite a few years and for the most part it is a friendly pub with a warm atmosphere. There is a good quality level pool table and d Juke box, 2 outside areas to watch the world go by and a good selection of drinks, bar food at certain times and snacks.

Great staff and friendly atmosphere !

Friendly, busy, good range of lager, dog friendly and food well done. However, the beer and wine prices seemed pretty high and the range of ales was poor. The customers seemed to be sociable and locally based.

Great pub that returns my phone / keys/ bank card after I have left them on the bar on many occasion.

Back street local with two rooms, larger room has pool table. Two cats to keep you company.

The meals are just humongous...beef was superb... 1 meal could feed 3 people lol

This pub is down a small side street so not easy to park nearby, the beers are good as is the welcome.This pub is close to the Albion, with some space outside if the weather permits. You can play darts or watch the sports on the big screen.

This has been my local for 16 years so I am clearlyl very fond of it. So much so that when my husband and I were thinking of where to have a relaxed, fun and stress free wedding reception this is where we chose to have it. Helen did a fantastic job helping to organise our special evening and the now sadly defunct Dummy Run provided excellent entertainment. I'd recommend a visit if you want a fun night out, particularly when they've got live music on.

Small pub, with limited car parking. Fantastic atmosphere and welcoming patrons. Nice pint of Guinness! Landlady and bar staff very friendly. We parked around the corner and walked up. Would go back again, we had a great night.

Pub cat that likes being fussed but doesn't over-stay its welcome...need I say more? Yes, good selection of beers and sport on telly as well. *EDIT* Cats plural! Just need a dog and Google should introduce a 6 star rating.

Nice staff, good selection of drinks, clean, has sports on and a pool table. Eaten breakfast here a few times which has been good. They do let children in with parents so you may find some running around at times

Fabulous pub with a great personality. I went on a night where there was a fantastic live band. There was lots of merriment and a great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, and the pub has a great homely feel to it. When I went, the drinks were reasonably priced, and they were doing 2 for 1 on Prosecco! Had a great night!

Staff at the time were quite rude. Told to be quiet when I visited with a group of 10 lads on a Friday, won't be going back when the much friendlier Albion is round the corner.

I often visit The Ossory for food and drink. With prosecco under £17 a bottle (compared to £28 in The White Hart) and friendly bar staff, it's a great night out. On a Sunday, I regularly take my children for a roast dinner (the adult portion is massive!!) and their burgers are delicious. The pub is modern and has big TV screens for sport, a pool table and a lovely outdoor seating area. They put on live music throughout the year which is always a good atmosphere.

Local pub serving food at lunch time and in the evenings . Back street pub with a small patio area on both sides . Bingo nights and live music regular charity events and much much more . Recently refurbished inside and out . Sunday summer bbqs running every week Lots of lovely regular customers

Awful atmosphere, did not feel clean in there at all.. I didn't really want to stay but my friends suggested it may be okay No it defiantly wasn't okay it was disgusting, never again!! Don't waste your money

No Sky TV despite a plaque on the wall saying they show it! I went there to watch the football and when I asked why it was not on they said they did not have it so I suggested they take the sign down.this was last season and its still up.

A proper local pub that is slightly off the main drag of ampthill nice unpretentious customers and staff good food.people round these parts are supposed to be a bit stuffy but I was made very welcome from day one.p
