Perfect.. This has been my regular shop for fish and chips whilst visiting Llandudno this year and last. About time there was somewhere with delicious fish and proper cooked chips! Spotlessly clean and a friendly manner from staff.. Small eating area that’s cleaned properly if you don’t want to take out. The bad reviews are obviously from people who speak to others with disrespect and won’t to try and put people off going here. Read between the lines and treat people the way you want to be treated! I’m back again this week for my fish dinner! 🐠 🍟

We have visited this chip shop four times in the past two weeks ( hoping that they are calorie free! 😂😂) Excellent fish and chips made to order . Exceptionally clean place , would highly recommended.

Extremely rude service. One of staff member was heavily argued about order misunderstanding with lady customer at counter. Instead of explaining, he has started shouting.

Went in today, fast service, food was delicious. Prices are very good too. Able to eat inside our outside. Perfect location close to the pier. The guys working there were very friendly and pleasant to speak to. Highly recommend.

Awful!!! So not waste your hard earned cash. What a joke!! When I asked about my sons allergies couldn’t speak English!! Even used google translate and the manager said we don’t cook for people with allergies even though a huge sign in shop said to “ask about allergies”” Disgusting food and even more disgusting service!! Yuck EDIT - just terrible your reply. You have been reported to the trading standards for not having the proper allergy protocols in place which you have a sign for!! Hang your heads in shame, to call me names and that I am a racist speaks volumes. Facts are facts, your staff that day did not understand English?!!! What’s racist about that

Fish and chips place? 4 stars? What?!!! The food here was the worst fish and chips place EVER!! At a seaside you expect amazing fish and chips but NOPE! Amazing? Certainly not! Chips were horrible! No flavour and not that much potato. They said “ do you want some bread and butter as well?” Very polite is the only thing good about this place. The bread and butter was actually a BURGER COB WITH UNSPREADED BUTTER!!! NO FOOD WE HAD WAS EVEN A BIT GOOD! HORRIBLE!! If you want your day ruined at dinner this would be the place for you but if you’re having a perfect day and want your day finished with a perfect dinner….DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!

The food was delicious and fresh, and our brothers were generous to us. I highly recommend it

Had fish & chips to take away. Was lovely! Chips done to perfection. Fish wad large & batter crispy and not oily. Will definitely visit again!

One of the best fish and chip shops anywhere. Excellent quality with huge portions and little or no grease left behind unlike most places. Lovely crispy batter and a very reasonable price. What's not to like ? We'll be back. !

Nice clean place, friendly young guys serving, very decent fish and chips. The lemon and gherkin in the box was a nice touch.

All I can say is nothing traditional about it, probably the worst I’ve had north of the wall. If you’ve been Lily’s in Blackpool you will understand how this misses the mark completely. Batter was to thick and the oil on it my girlfriend had to wipe it down. 0/10 from me

Extremely rude server, fat old bloke took the chance to be rude to me every opportunity he got when I was perfectly polite with him. Pies were chewy and tasteless and chips tasted like they’d been cooked by a warm breeze. AVOID

The best fish & chips we have had in a long while & the best in Llandudno, cooked fresh while you wait so hot with very crispy battered, I had a battered sausage & again the best I have had & the mushy peas were great too. The service is also excellent my wife decided she wanted gravy after we had ordered & we were given this free of charge & were given a bag to carry what we had left without even asking. We are in the first time & they were that good went & got them the next night to take back to the hotel room. Will definitely go here next time we are in Llandudno & can't recommend this place enough to anyone visiting Llandudno. 5 Star+

First time we have visited The orme traditional fish and chip shop in Llandudno. Service was ok We ordered large sausage , chips and curry sauce. The chips were ok but the sausage and curry sauce did not taste very nice. Dont think we will be back again.

My first visit and we had two fish and chips. All food was made to order and was just lovely , by far the best I’ve had in a long time. I did have to wait but I don’t mind when the food is this good

Brought Mrs and little one here for lunch today. amazed by the price of a seaside chippy and wasn't expecting much. Portion was more than adequate, fish was bang on, and the new owner is incredibly polite. Looking at older reviews, thank goodness the old owner isn't there anymore as some are awful! Glad we went today and not a month ago

Went here today for some dinner, my husband ordered fish and chips, was lovely. Very impressed with the food! Nicer fish than the pubs that charge you a lot for. Would definitely go again . Take no notice of the reviews , new owners not had it long but doing an amazing job.

I ordered fish and chips plus curry sauce on Sunday 12 th November. I gave precise directions of the house and with telling them the outside light was on. The delivery driver (Muhammad) delivered the meal to the wrong house. I contacted the restaurant by phone but could not understand what the person on the other end was saying. I’ve tried to dispute the payment of £19.52 to the restaurant but the Bank requires a 6 digit code from the restaurant to be able to cancel the payment. Needless to say they will not give me the code !

The young lad who served us was really nice. Friendly smiled and really nice. I did feel quite sorry for him because he was doing all the work and just being spoken to by an older guy in quite a rude manner and when there are customers in the shop not good. I don’t think you should ever talk to a member of staff like that. He seemed like a nice young lad working hard and very good with the customers. The food took ages and like others have said sorry but it was awful. The chips tasted like they had been reheated they were awful it has to be some of the worst fish and chips we have had in a long time. I certainly wouldn’t go back I agree there are too many other places to get fish and chips and I’m sure they would be a lot better than here. You really need to do something to improve the “kerb appeal” and also the quality of the food because I’m afraid it is poor. I used to run a cafe for 10 years so I know good food from bad. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I am totally honest with my reviews if it is good I will say so,if not I’m afraid I will also say so. This time it was not good.

Very disappointed. We had a long wait but there was no one else in the shop. Food was very average. I'm sure there are better chippies in Llandudno.

I ordered a large chips and a large chips.Once I received my order it was a very tiny small fish which cannot be worth more than a pound and very bad chips with lots of oil dipping from chips and very few amount chips which i paid 11.50 on top of that when i told them i dont want that wants to return they try to fight and showing very bad attitude with me.They don't care of their customer and dont even care if you are with the family.Owner is same both shops kings house and this fish shop are run by very bad attitude poeple i am sure they are not British poeple.British people always talk and behave with respect.

ROTTON !!! It’s simple don’t waste your money here they haven’t got a clue cod (supposedly) was rubbish 1 cm thick vile chips seemed reheated vile don’t bother 🤮 5 cod and chips 2 curry sauces I mushy pea £47 all horrible went in Wetherspoons next night £60 for 5 people plus a drink very nice please people don’t waste your money here they don’t deserve the custom !!

This place is dirty. The staff smoke with their food gloves on. Very rude and huge language barrier. Food made me sick and it was cold. I also found a hair in my food luke warm chips as well. Rubbish everywhere outside just left for seagulls and potential rats. No bin to use either which creates more waste. The chairs and tables are uncomfortable and feel like prison seating. Will not be returning and passing on my experience to others. AVOID! All been reported to the local Conwy Council.

Possibly the worst Steak and kidney pudding, chips and gravy I’ve ever had the mis-fortune to purchase, and also the most expensive too… £9.80 for (above) and a bottle of pop! If you like frozen chips, and your steak and kidney pudding “microwaved” then this is the place for you! And I quote from the guy serving “I’ve never had pudding, what is it? Well at least I know how to cook it!” Do yourselves a favour pass on by next door to kings kebab house next door and get yourself a large cheesey chips… 100 times better and literally half the price! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Wish I’d have read the reviews before going in! EDIT!! August 2023 After receiving a reply 2 months later to my one star (and brutally honest review), had to make the edit, please everyone, read the replies they leave everyone to their bad reviews… this speaks volumes for me!

We came a few years ago and was served by a gentleman who used to live in Yorkshire and the fish and chips were the best I had ever tasted, came back recently and I am not sure if the gent still runs the establishment but it has gone down hill. The till server got my order wrong and overly charged us, we had 20 minutes to eat and get back to the coach, we ended up having to eat on the coach because it took that long to make x portions of chips and x2 fish and chips.

Rotten don’t waste your money cod (supposedly) was very thin chips seemed like they were warmed up but waited 20 minutes for it !! It certainly was not fresh absolutely vile only had from here as the pier chip shop place had sold out of cod wish I hadn’t of bothered !!!

Had to wait 20 mins for 1 fish and chips and 1 battered sausage and chips. Food was ok, the fish and sausage were both quite greasy and the chips are clearly frozen not freshly cut. It was fine and filled us up.

What a dive. Don’t go there with food allergies as they don’t speak a word of english or even care to be honest. Batter is like tasteless cardboard and the chips are rank.

I ordered chips with curry and waited over half an hr for the food to arrive. The curry was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like curry powder. This takeaway is a rippoff avoid at all cost.

Extrem leckere Chips, sehr knusprig und immer frisch. Egal, was man sonst noch braucht: Alles wird frisch zubereitet, man kann sogar zusehen. Sehr nette Bedienung, das Interieur ist… naja, zweckmäßig.

Absolutely rubbish. Went today for a simple chips and sausage. Cooked fresh ? Took a while but wasn't worth the wait. Some chips cooked but most not. I eat about 5 chips and threw away the rest. Also sausage burnt. Stay away. You've been warned it's the worst chips I've ever had.

Terrible what looks like a traditional fish and chips this it is NOT. Warm up chips. Scampi frozen and when received was burnt. Don’t go here go to another.

Sitting in the sunshine watching the Trams going by eating Fabulous fish & chips . We’ve been many times to this chippy & always delicious, as good as last time. Had Seabass for a change, how they do it for the price (low compared to other restaurants) and good size . The young staff very sweet & smiley. 😁

Honestly was really excited to try local fish and chips but my choice wasn't great at all. Chips were okay, salty with vinegar exactly how I like. But! Fish was covered in oil and that's what I could only taste. Couldn't even finish everything and just binned the rest. Personally wouldn't recommend that place. Also the waiting time was longer than expected, around 15-20 minutes when you think chippy should be pretty much straight in and out.

We ate here, as a family. I think we were probably the first customers of the evening. Fish was piping hot & pretty good, obviously cooked fresh for us. The chips were terrible, worst I've ever had. Just like eating cardboard. Tasted like re-heated oven chips.

Just had what I'm sorry you may call it fish and chips but I would not it was without doughty the worst piece of food I have ever tasted so bad that it has gone directly into the refuse bin where it undoubtedly belongs you should be shut down for serving such food to the public you obviously have no pride in what you offer has hot food your cooking oil is roughly around 3 month old and holding on to the taste of carbon or as we say in the trade spent oil which belongs in a recycling centre it states fresh cooked food on your serving boxes well that is a lie frozen beefeater chips and not even of a good quality which will be destroying your cooking oil each time you batch cook your chips as the cold frozen chips are lowering your oil temp each time I could go on and on I myself am the owner of 3 eating establishments two of. Which hold Michelin stars down in Yorkshire I just say this sell up and hope to come away with something because you cannot make good buissness with what your offering its absolutely disgusting I do hope you answer your reviews it will make interesting reading as to what excuse you are going to use as you definitely cannot say that what you offer is good and at over 11 pounds for fish and chips who was your dad dick Turpin daylight robbery

I ordered via Uber eats, as our local fish and chip shop wasn't open. This was the only fish & chips shop delivering to our area, so thought I would take the chance. The cod was OK, although it was a bit flattened i the box. The chips were awful, and very dry. I couldn't believe that a fish and chip shop calling itself 'traditional' was using frozen chips. Such a disappointment at a seaside resort.

Wanted medium haddock and peas with a side order of chips. Was told I could only have large haddock. When meal came fish was split in two, didn’t look very large and didn’t taste like haddock. Quite greasy. Not as good as the chippy by the tram

WAITED HALF AN HOUR FOR THIS! PAID £10.60 for a “large chips”, 2 dry sausages that tasted off and dish water gravy. The chips were tiny! I dread to think how small a small or regular portion is! He said to come back in 5 minutes after ordering and it would be ready. It took half an hour. We ended up going next door to get a burger and pizza after because we were that hungry.

Disgusting food from here today 28/5/23 chips tasted like cooked in rancid or cheap oil very greasy sausage had an acquired taste. Waited ages the 2 girls need to learn customer service and smile 15.00 for chips and sausage twice a small curry small gravy and a bread cob with no butter. Straight in bin where there were lots more.

This is a good chippy, I live nearby, if it was garbage I would tell you. Chips are crisp and fish fried to order. Recommended.

Day trip finished with some Lovely hot fluffy chips. Best ever so will be back again on next trip to Llandudno.

Found a hair in my fish wasn't refunded

I previously positively reviewed this place back in 2017 but that no longer applies, sadly, I think it's under different management. Still advertises gluten free in the window but when I asked for gluten free fish & chips I was told "not today". Took my business to the other end of Mostyn Street, Pebble, where I had a lovely gf cod & chips. Won't bother with The Orme again.

AVOID AVOID AVOID THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER EATEN EVER! T2 large fish n chips and 2 cans of coke £27. I wouldn't of been bothered. About the price but it was vile. The fish came in 2 pieces. Very small like for a child. The batter was as thick as American pancakes. Wet sloppy and greasy. The chips was old wrinkly, white and warm. I should of read the reviews before I ate here. Also the guy who works there is the rudest person I've ever come across. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Haven’t come across something as worse as this place. The man was awful, told me not to ask him questions when trying to order fish and chips because he was busy . There was only one customer who placed an order , it wasn’t busy just him being a lazy man who doesn’t know how to do his job.

Not many options for vegetarians on the menu. We had chip baps, onion rings, mushy peas and chips. Staff were friendly. Food served promptly and cooked well.

Both Cod and Haddock we're lovely, fresh and the batter was crispy: but the chips we're even better and super tasty. Great meal for good value 👌

Absolutely disgusting food! It is not cooked properly at all, the chicken and mushroom pie was cold and definitely raw, sausages are like rubber and they serve the food with the tiniest bit of curry/gravy. Would not recommend visiting this place and I definitely won't be visiting again.

Really fancied a bag of chips on my short trip to Llandudno. Unfortunately ended up with a tray of deep fried, frozen oven chips!! Not what you would expect from a ‘fish and chip shop’. Just great full I didn’t waste money on a fish.

We always travel around in England, always trying fish and chips near seaside town. This was the worst shop I’ve ever been. The staff attitude made me feel I like a beggar, only one plastic fork per meal which costs £9.50. This wasn’t the main issue, the worst thing was the fish so greasy, fried in the cold oil and sticked with residue. Really disappointed.

Even 1 star is too much for this place! The lad who served us looked like he'd rather be anywhere than there! The price, I can slightly understand, because of it's location but the quality of the food; disgusting! Raw, yes raw, chips in the tiniest box for £2.80 and a server who looked like he was chewing a wasp with about as much customer service as a rock. If you don't like your job (or serving females) then do something about it! Taking a can of pop and disappearing into the back to drink it whilst cooking food isn't exactly what you want to see in a food establishment. Avoid this place like the plague and instead use the fish and chip place located at the entrance of the pier. The fish is cooked perfectly, chips are cooked perfectly and the service is faultless, unlike like this farce of a place.

Who knows the opening times on the door bear no relation to when it is open. Don't go out if your way for this one.

THe fish and chips are tasty and reasonably priced. We used this cafe on two occasions and were not disappointed.

Definitely notthe best chippy , the chips were crispy and over cooked the fish was horrible and sausage was peppery. Not the cheapest . Definitely won't be visiting again.

Food was edible but way overpriced for what you get, definitely not proper chippy chips. Customer service doesn't exist , arrogant , ignorant and only interested in taking your money. If your starving use at your own risk and beyond that keep on walking.

Reasonable fish and chips at a reasonable price

I had a takeaway with my family one evening after spending the whole day by the beach and up the Great Orme. It was a real treat! Fish was really fresh and the chips are perfect! Will definitely come back!

Over priced for what we wanted. Our order wasn't correct either. Ordered our food and had to wait nearly 25 minutes for our sausage and chips to be ready; the place was not busy so couldn't understand the long wait.

I tried this place and service was fine but i didn't enjoy the fish and chips. I wouldn't go there again.
