The Orchard Room in City of London, Westminster

Located within the Conrad Hotel, it is close to St James Park Underground station, with good transport links. As you would expect, the location is beautiful. It is clean, exceptionally well presented with a quiet sophisticated atmosphere. You cannot in any way find fault with the service, our waiters were friendly, attentive and very well presented. You were in no way pressured to finish your meal, the pace of the service being near perfect. The afternoon tea was exceptional, being visually well presented and more than enough for two people. The sandwiches, the cakes and the scones were fresh and delicious. If you like your teas, the selection is astounding! Along with the bottle of Bollinger Champagne this made for a very enjoyable afternoon. Not the cheapest, but as a treat second to none. You have to try it just once.

We went to the Orchard Room for afternoon tea. The ambiance was great, and I love that they had vegan options. The tea selection was quite large. Of all the afternoon tea experiences we enjoyed in London, this was my favorite. You might want to call ahead if you want the vegan options.

We were staying at the Conrad London and had their afternoon tea at The Orchard Room. We happened to be the only people at the seating. The staff were attentive, ambiance was relaxing and tea was tasty. We enjoyed our tea in the quiet, intimate setting.

The bread was hard and dry , hair in one of the sandwiches. not worth the price, would not recommend

Great food, great service, lots of choices of tea and fabulous champagne! My gluten free food was particularly good. Would definitely return.

Had a wonderful evening trying out the wonderful creations of the bar's very talented mixologist, including an excellent negroni and very intriguing Japanese style martini. Also a great food menu and the salmon trout in a shellfish sauce was especially delicious. Highly recommended

Stumbled upon this breathtaking bar on a visit to the area. Feeling like something out of a movie from the moment you walk in, the team, namely Greg & Brando, take you worlds away from the hustle & bustle of Londons busy life. With passion & humility, they created such a memorable experience for us, from drinks knowledge to some of the most creative concoctions around, these two make joining for a drink such a treat! Will be back for sure!

I can't believe this is my first time leaving a review, but I have had The Afternoon Tea 18 times! And on 2 occasions hired Emmeline's lounge for events. One being my Mother in Laws 60th Birthday. The food is exceptional, I run an Afternoon Tea, Travel & Spa advise group and it's the best I've had. I have tried others like, The Corinthia, Ritz, Four Seasons, F&M the list goes on but the service especially by Luigi is always fantastic. The Chef has honoured requests whether it be dietary or special occasion. The food is what set's it part from others, this is way I keep going back! I also Love that the menu changes often. Overall the food itself is both beautifully designed and delicious, the pastries are amazingly rich and full bodied, and complimented with the right tea (Vanilla), will leave you with an experience that you will promise yourself you will repeat over and over again Improvements that could be made - Sometimes I find the seating a little uncomfortable as the tables are low. However, this isn't a big deal, the room is beautiful, and I especially like it when they had Jazz musicians playing. I only saw this twice, but it added a little something extra. They used to have the most beautiful Silverware which they use for the afternoon Tea's. They were "upgraded" a few years ago to a more modern set. However, please bring them back. They do still have them around as I have asked for the teapots when making a booking, this is a prime example of going the extra mile! Lastly, please bring back the Unlimited Champagne Afternoon Tea. I would not mind paying a little more for this. Emmeline's lounge in my eyes if the best place for Afternoon Tea. The Food & Services outweigh anything else! We stayed at the hotel so I had reserved afternoon tea for 2 different days. I have had afternoon tea all over the world and this place was so disappointing. The service from the start (were made to wait for a long time before we were seated even though there were only 2 other parties having tea when we arrived) was not good. After informing them of food allergies they brought the tea. The tea was good (two different kinds). The sandwiches were ok, but the savories were not that good. The scones were not served warm and the clotted cream was really runny and not firm like it should be. The waiters almost never came by and checked on us (ran out of tea for awhile and wanted a glass of water but there was no one to ask for a long time). During our first time there a woman came in and sat down at a table and waited to be served and it took them 25 minutes to come to her and only after she chased a waiter down. She was as frustrated as we were. It was during the 2nd time we had the afternoon tea where things got a bit more sketchy. After informing the waiter of food allergies he brought 2 items that contained the food that I was allergic to. That could have been quite dangerous if I hadn't been paying attention. London has some wonderful afternoon tea places but this is not one of them. Find another place to experience what should be a wonderful experience.

I have the afternoon tea at the lounge on Christmas day, it was a wonderful time and the food is delicious and the environment made one feel so relaxing. Price:it was a little bit expensive, but it was worthy.

写真は明るいですが、実際は暗い中にブラックライトのような青いライトで照らされていて、ホテルのラウンジというより、近代的な レストランという雰囲気です。 ドレスコードが気になっていましたが、結構カジュアルでも大丈夫そうです。私たちの行ったときはバックパックを持った人もいました。 逆にあまりにもしっかりとフォーマルで行くと浮いてしまいそうです。 食べ物や紅茶は悪くないですが、スタッフのサービスがとにかく最悪でした。 私たちの席はコートや荷物を置くスペースが全くないくらい狭かったのですが、コートを預かってくれることもありませんでした。 紅茶が出てきても砂糖やミルクがなく、頼もうにもスタッフは料理を持ってくるとき以外全く客席にいないので、なかなかオーダーすることもできません。 紅茶は基本的に自分で注がなければならず、オーダーの際に私のカップが空になっていたときでさえ、注いでもらえませんでした。 値段には全く合ってないです。 スタッフの教育をちゃんとしてください。

Having been greeted and directed to the lounge where we’d booked afternoon tea for 6, the assistant was unable to find our booking. No matter she said and set us up on a table. There were, in total, 8 people having tea. The food was delicious and plentiful. At between 3 and 3.30 she left and was replaced by 2 gentlemen who had trouble looking after us, and table that were leaving and 3 new arrivals. We had to consistently ask for plates to be cleared for the next course, clean crockery and cutlery to eat it with, hot water for the tea and cold water. When we offered feedback we were told all the staff were new (no excuse in a 5*) and they were busy setting up for “an important function.” Clearly we were not considered important enough guests to warrant a service that we didn’t instigate. Very disappointing. If I were you I’d give it a miss.

A tasty selection of sandwiches, savories, and desserts. I didn't opt for tea, but instead a double espresso, which was delicious as well. I did try the rose tea and liked it. Each item had a unique touch of flavor that made it different to any afternoon tea I've had before.

妻がアフタヌーンティーにというのでオンラインで予約して出かけた．ソファでくつろぎながらいただくアフタヌーンティーは悪くな いものの，周囲はPCを広げたりビジネストークをする人ばかりで，ごく普通のビジーなホテルラウンジだった．決して安くないので，雰囲気に浸りたい日本人乙女をお連れの紳士には再検討をお勧めしたい．
