We went for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really warm and nice. Amar was really friendly and welcoming and the staff were really kind. From the drinks to starters to main, everything was perfect. I requested the restaurant staff to bring out the cake for my daughter as a surprise, and they did it. It was a good surprise for my daughter. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The food was incredibly delicious, full of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The staff was attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made our experience truly special.

If there is any free advice I would give, is make sure you follow up with your customers having food to ask if everything is ok. Some parts of the meal was ok and others not, but neither at starters mains or when leaving where we asked the simple question. And not even the wished to have a good night. I won’t bother going into the food, as it was as bad/same as the service.

Arranged a meal here for my partners 40th as a surprise. Staff were more than accommodating and so helpful. Brilliant service and amazing food! Highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again!

Have been here a couple of times before. Usually on a weekend lunch time. A group of us normally go round local indian desi bars . Normally ordering mixed grills on this occasion I took my wife on Thursday evening. It was fairly busy but managed to get a table. Staff were pleasant and polite. I decided to try a main meal for a change and see how good they were. We was not disappointed I had a chicken jalfrasi and the wife had a mixed wrap. I ordered masala chips for myself and normal chips for the wife. Both meals were excellent full of flavour. Was that good ended up ordering a chicken tika masala with special fried rice to take out for my daughter. She said was one of the best she has had. Would definitely recommend anyone to try it. Good food fast service

Amazing place!! The staff don’t stop and are friendly and polite. The flavours of the food are amazing!! The service is really fast and the prices very reasonable. I only ever eat plain food, that was until last night! The mixed grill was fantastic and the freshly cooked naan bread was wonderful. I am no longer a boring eater thanks to this place! We had a taxi there as we were given the heads up that parking wasn’t good. It does get a bit loud when busy, but adds to the atmosphere. Great place - you won’t be dissapointed.

Our first visit and really enjoyed it. Our friends recommended the orange tree to us as we live in bewdley Worcestershire. Will definitely come again when we are in the area. Great service and fab food.

We had no poppadams but they delivered sauces?

Naans were cold and we had to reheat them and the chicken curry was also cold.

Excellent food, very well priced in a lovely clean bar. Everything was top notch, from the beers to the toilets, nothing could be faulted.

We’ve ordered loads from here and the food is normally 110%. This time though it was not near their usual standard, the food was tasty but there was no heat in the jalfrezi and the palak paneer was a little watery.

Honestly the vindaloo never tasted anything so horrible and bitter, such a waster of money and food. The rest of the order was edible but they did not taste fresh. Never again shame as i have been there in person beforew with kids family was good

I don't normally post negative reviews, but had to make an exception with this place. Ordered food at 6:40ishpm but it didn't arrive until 8:15pm. Speaking to other people around us, this was the normal waiting time. They were prioritising Just eat orders before the people that were seated, which I personally think is unacceptable. Fair enough you're making more money via takeaway, but at least look after the people seated. They have a dedicated veggie menu, which is excellent, but even so, the service was such a let down, I wouldn't be going again, not could I recommend.

Doesn’t let me do 0 stars for Service. Definitely would never come back. Told that we had to be out by 8:30 as there was another booking for the table. Ordered at around 6:45, took until 8:26 for the 1st bit of food to come out. Came out in drips and drabs. Food was nothing special, pretty underwhelmed to be honest. With so many Desi pubs in wolves this place will not survive. Drinks took about 25mins a round and even the bartender would get confused when handling more than 3 drinks at a time. Worst experience I’ve ever had in Wolverhampton. But apparently if you order from UberEats or something you’ll get your food fast as thats all they seemed to be serving orders for. Never Again!

The food is laden with cinnamon. The Shahee paneer is awful no cream in the sauce at all. Its full of cinnamon in a watery red sauce. The food does not have the authentic Punjabi flavours in it.

The food is delicious, very lovely restaurant/bar.

As a very fussy mix grill eater, we gave Orange Tree a go. We were recommended the Clay pot chicken which I have to say is the best chicken main dish iv had from any mix grill place. The actual meat itself was cooked perfectly on the mix grill and you could see a day night difference in the quality. Worst item on a mix grill usually is the kebab, and here they stood out to be one of the best items in the grill. Well done to the team at The Orange Tree, this has to be up there to be one of the best mix grills! Keep the quality lads, keep your standard! Happy to see a local with such a standard. Well done!

Original arrival time was 19.20. The food arrived at 19.50 and all of it was cold so everything had to be warmed up in the microwave. The driver was on the completely wrong road and asked me to walk to him to collect my order. When you pay for something to be delivered it is a bit of joke to request the customer to collect.

Waited over an hour for food. Turned up cold Had to warm it up ourselves Spoke to the management who didn't give a hoot . Said its not them its the driver. The driver messaged and told us what street he was in and couldn't find us then proceeded to say ..you come to me .. I can't find you .. "Don't promise early delivery if you can't fulfil it.." The saving grace was the food was really nice we would be fuming if that was as crap as the service . Only 3 stars because everything we ordered was cold ..

Lovely mix grill and great beer

Visited the Orange Tree after it was recommended. It was everything we expected. Family mixed grill, excellent curries, Nann and rice and noodle dishes. Especially liked the Hari tandoori chicken. Everything very flavoursome. Took my elderly mother who struggles with noisy environments; staff turned music down and were very accommodating; we visited on Tuesday early evening, so not busy. Had a great time and we'll be planning our next visit as soon as we can.

First visit to the Orange Tree on recommendation. We hadn't booked and the place was really busy. However the staff were very friendly and accommodating and managed to give us a table. The atmosphere was very friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely eat here again but will reserve a table in advance. Highly recommended.

Quality of food has gone down, paid £30 for 2 dishes over priced. I will not be ordering from here again.

Ive been to my fair share of mixed grills around the Midlands. This was a Nicely decorated place. But the food was expensive for a tiny portion..had the largest mixed grill. Chilli chips were decent. Flavour was on point but the amount was not enough considering this was the family size. Ordered a guiness which wasn't poured properly which was a shame. Overall nothing special compared to Champys in Walsall or Soho tavern so wouldn't return.

I visited for the second time this year as per my family's recommendation. I went with all my family. We had a great time.The staff and the food is Bang on. We will definitely go again.

My 1st time at The Orange Tree tonight. When I arrived the were a lot of Asians having meals as well as others. Straight away I was thinking "this is a good sign". Really friendly staff. Although a mixed meat curry was not on the menu they were able to cater for my request without any issue. My meal was lovely. Really nice (I had the chicken wings as a starter and a Madras curry). I would definitely go again, possibly to try a grilled meal next time 😊

Ordered a mix grill and was very disappointed. The food did not have that grill taste it is supposed to. The lamb was so tough you couldn't chew it, it went in the bin unfortunately. We have had better mix grills so wont be ordering from here again.

A recent and new favourite in Wolverhampton. Highly recommended as food quality was sensational and the place is spotlessly clean. Offering a boneless mixed grill is also a winner as some other restaurants don't, and not everybody likes to mess with food on a bone (I get the taste part, but some small food stuffs are 90% bone). Have been 3 times now, twice with family and once for business meeting and everyone fully enjoyed the experience 👌

Went for takeout as live local and never tried it. Ordered the reg mixed grill and it was OK. The shish kebab was not good at all. Would not have that again. The wings were good.. The tikka was OK but a bit too dry. Overall just OK. Rethink your shish kebabs though, they need a rethink.

The Orange Tree is a local gem for those wanting to get value for money and enjoy a flavoursome meal. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious and lively. It looks great and there are a few modern touches which make it appealing to a contemporary audience. The staff honestly told us that there was a 20-30 minute wait on food due to how busy it was. However, when the food arrived, it was hot, portion size was good, and flavours were rich. Will be back!

Went here yesterday for my partners birthday. The food was amazing staff and manager were so welcoming.

We live local and last walked past this place a few years ago when it was a run down pub but noticed it had reopened and looked ok from the outside Popped in on a Saturday evening and was surprised with how nice it was We didn’t have a booking but after a few mins wait they found us a table - so I would recommend booking. Service and food was excellent - no complaints at all Well recommended

So coming here was interesting. We ordered Butter chicken good Naan standard Chips standard Regular mixy average Poppadom s good One cider and one lemonade It came to £42. Food is authentic but very spicy. Barman wasn't very happy but table service was on point. Aesthetics are 10/10. Comfortable as well. Keep it up

Everything was fine apart from the price. Price was high comparing to the food quantity.

An overall pleasant experience from start to end. Note that there is no separate car park so you will have to park on the streets around the pub. As you walk in you’re welcomed by a very well presented restaurant. The staff welcome you upon arrival which makes the experience even better. The bar is well stocked and the food menu has all of the favourites you would expect. The mixed grill is average both based on size and flavour. The curries are very good. Just make sure you ask / request for your own spice level. Enjoy.

The food was oily the curry was swimming in oil not even mixing it got rid of it , rice got no flavour and nan bread was edible don’t know how people can give this a 5 stars will not order again

Food is so good, ordered a family mixed grill and it did me and the Mrs. Stuffed! It came out sizzling and had so much flavour, the lamb chops are amazing My 4 year old had a korma and loved it. Been to a few bar and grills and this is definitely our fave I already want to go back and have the grill again! Would recommend to anyone

First time ordering. I think that £8.95 for 8 small fish pakoras is a bit poor. However really tasty chillin tikka masala, really enjoyed it. 👍

Lads on the bar are friendly, food and service are good. Location might be a bit small for them as it was busy.
