Situated just as you go in Dalbeattie from the town woods. We were here on a short break with our dog, and went in there every day - whether it be for coffee/cake/lunch/breakfast. The service was great, food was fantastic, brilliant coffee and most importantly - dog friendly! They were all lovely, but special mention goes to Pam, when we asked for a sausage for our dog (Paul) she cut it up for him and came out with it wrapped in foil. So lovely. Thank you!

The food was excellent, the service was warm & welcoming and the cleanliness was exceptional. The toilets were spotless. We visited twice in the space of a few days and rated the fresh scone very highly. Second visit the soup was excellent as well as the freshly made sandwiches.

Can't praise this place enough. Friendly, comfortable, warm. We visited three days in a row, I had a different soup each day and all three were fantastic. Congratulations to the chef.

Kitchen closed on our visit which was disappointing. Soft drinks by Kingsdown of Walmer in Kent. Very nice. Accessible toilet. No steps. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Came across this lovely cafe and garden centre while out for the day. Had lovely “Scones and Latte Coffee” and must thank the staff for being friendly and very helpful. All aspects of this establishment are 5⭐️ cleanliness of eating room and toilets and prices very competitive. Would recommend if in the area

We called in on the off chance and found the place friendly and clean. We both had lovely cakes but I didn’t see anything savory though I note that someone else had toasties which would have been great, other than that all fine.

My wife and I went for a coffee and a cake on the 4th November. Most people seem to be complaining about other things - I am complaining about the service which was non-existent. There were three women working behind the counter - all three suddenly were very busy in their individual jobs totalling ignoring us. There was no eye contact. I have never seen such ignorance in all my life. Two tables were occupied, no one waiting in front of us and two hours before closing time. Obviously they had no intention of serving anybody. We waited like lemons for 5 - 10 mins and then walked out. No one even looked up. A great opportunity spoilt by these three women as nowhere else in Dalbeattie seems to be open. I just hope the owner is reading this.

This is in a garden centre? The restaurant is in a bright airy room and the tables were well spaced out. The food was fine but I had to ask for salt for my baked potato and was only given one tiny sachet.

We couldn't book into our accommodation until 4pm so was delighted to come across this tearoom which serves until 4.30. We both had a toastie which were lovely with a pot of tea. Didn't have room for a cake so there is our reason to return! Had a walk around the garden centre before heading onto our cottage Lovely clean cafe, spacious and great menu.

Breakfast seemed a fair price, but on arrival left a bit to be desired. Grilled tomatoes were warmed only and the sausage was small considering it was the only one on the plate.

Nice food. Great service. Good selection of pizzas and kebabs. Told food would be 20 mins and it was exactly.

We ate here and finished our meal, the waitress cleared away and we decided we'd have another round of drinks before leaving. We waited 5, 10 minutes and the waitress never came back. I went in search of someone but couldn't find our waitress. I didn't like to open the doors to the kitchen. We waited another 5 minutes and my wife said 'this is ridiculous' and went off in pursuit. She found our waitress in the bar (was she watching TV, did she fancy the barman?) and asked if we could get some service. The waitress said 'the restaurant is closed', as if we were being unreasonable in expecting to be served a round of drinks. No, the restaurant isn't closed if you've still got people sitting at a table you're serving and you haven't asked them if they want a dessert or offered them the bill but simply buggered off. So we said OK, can we just pay the bill. Which we did, and obviously didn't leave tip. We won't be going back.
