We dined as a family of 6 adults to celebrate 3 birthdays. This was our first occasion and we were prompted to book after having a lovely meal last year at Piccolino Liverpool. Trying to find a car parking place is an issue and we nearly couldn't park. It was a little chaotic with some cars waiting to park and others picking up. Once inside though, the ambience and decor are lovely. We sat in the main dining area which was very busy and having reserved, were promptly taken to our table having been asked whether or not we would like a drink at the bar first. The service from our waitress was superb / faultless. One of the starters came out wrong but was promptly rectified. I am a coeliac (gluten free) and she was knowledgeable enough to know that the oil in the fryer would be cross-contaminated. If we can be very critical, it would have been nice to have a drizzle of oil on the carpaccio but it was still excellent. All main course were excellent and my wife particularly liked the wagyu lasagne. I chose a gluten free seafood pasta. Whilst it was cooked very well, the amount of shellfish was lacking slightly. Deserts were excellent. A nice touch was the little birthday cake and the waitress also brought out a gluten free desert not knowing if it was my birthday as well. The bar area looked lovely and the cocktails we had were very well made - and also very reasonably priced. Towards the end of our meal, a member of staff took two big bags of rubbish through the restaurant, past our table, to dispose of in the bins outside. I have never experienced this before in any restaurant and it was not pleasant when having a nice meal. That aside and bearing in mind the excellent service from our waitress - which is a very important factor to me - we will definitely return.

We had an evening meal right before Christmas with my daughter, neice and her 2 children both under the age of 5. Wonderful atmosphere, nice lighting and friendly staff. My daughter ordered this amazing goat cheese salad and ate it all, which is quite surprising as she never eats salad. I had a taste it was delicious. The portions sizes are a good size. The food came out in good time and the staff are very attentive. We all cleaned our plates.

I love the Queen's, my fave local for years. Full of great peeps, most who are trades and have all helped me in one way or another. Proper old school pub with honest, decent people, if you take the time to say hello!

I didn't stay so didn't give the room any stars, I had cocktails and dinner with my friend who was staying. With this in mind, I'd like to give a special shout-out to Adam!! He was very welcoming and informative about the history of the building and really made one feel relaxed. The cocktail bar has a nice ambience with jazz playing quietly in the background. We then had dinner in the Michelin starred restaurant. Everything was delicious. The recommended wines went perfectly with our meals ( recommend by guy who speaks Swahili) 😉 A thoroughly enjoyable evening. I'd recommend. I myself endeavour to return in the summer to see the gardens and a spot of lunch or dinner!
