Great food and amazing service from the guys at the bar. A truly hidden gem

Increíble cena de domingo. Pasamos por un capricho y no teníamos una reserva todavía eran capaces de servirnos. La comida era caliente, fresca e increíblemente delicioso. Los postres eran encantadores también. ¡No puedo esperar a volver!

Este bar era un gran lugar para el almuerzo y las bebidas. Estaba tranquilo cuando llegamos alrededor de las 15: 00 de ayer, pero se puso ocupado muy rápidamente. Nos sentamos en una bonita caseta de madera y pedimos unas cuantas rondas de bebidas. Almorcé con las papas fritas coreanas. Las papas fritas no eran tan picantes como pensé que serían, pero la comida estaba deliciosa. También había una gran selección de cervezas artesanales y ginebras. Tiene un ambiente muy agradable y mucho carácter. Kelham Island es un lugar brillante.

Fui aquí a almorzar el domingo. Gran comida literalmente labio golpeando bien! Catering para todos los gustos y como vegetariano se sentía como si no me lo estuviera perdiendo y agregan bonitos extras que a menudo no se obtienen en otros lugares. El ambiente y el personal son muy serviciales y amables. Disfrutamos mucho.

A chilled out bar with good food.

Gran comida y fantástica relación calidad-precio... Personal amable y muy servicial... Además, admite perros, que es increíble. El almuerzo del domingo es un Bargin absoluto para la calidad de la comida que se obtiene.

The bar staff at The Old Workshop are very friendly and they always have an interesting selection of keg lines on that are well priced. Keeps us coming back.

Nice space shocking cocktails, better drinks in a spoons. Shame as the food and beers are great but £8 for cocktails of that quality is not good

Went for a Sunday roast. Staff were great and the food was delicious. Very generous portions for the price and a good selection of drinks at the bar. 👍

Just had their Sunday dinners which seems to be new. Portions were great. Veggie lentils were tasty too. Cauli cheese had mustard and sharp cheese. Celeriac puree was absolutely amazing and I was super skeptical! Beef was given to us rare to medium but did offer to do more if we preferred. It was perfection, honestly. Verdant and Neonraptor on tap too I've been for their cocktails and they do a fab espresso martini and amaretto sour! Thank you x

Lovley cosy but rustic bar tucked away down a side street in kelham /neepsend. Worth a visitm dumpling city food is great too , highly recommend.

Amazing Sunday lunch. Absolutely massive and delicious. Nice relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a meet up.

Lovely atmosphere. Comfy seating. Love the Chinese food. The dumplings and Korean chicken were delicious. They put a lot of effort in the food. Decent price and good portion size. Staff are very friendly, always greet you when you come in and when you leave. Very attentive. Will try the other things on their menu.

Just popped in for a late drink. Still love this welcoming place which has a warm feel to it. Staff were also super helpful in sorting us a taxi to get home.

First off, the seating has drastically improved since I was last here 2 years ago. It's nice to have some chairs with backs to them, and they also now have booths. Despite Make No Bones leaving, this place is still pretty good. There's a new restaurant that sells vegan dumplings, tofu dishes, a few meat options, and chips. The Korean and Chinese dumplings were surprisingly good. I just wish the restaurant sold sides of rice - would have been good to have with the bang bang tofu. As for the bar, the drink options were decent; for craft beer options, they had 1 stout which was pretty tasty and a few decent pale ales. For commercial options, they had Thatchers and Erdinger, which I'm a fan of. Overall, it's not overly expensive (compared to other bars in Kelham - not Wetherspoons) and it's pretty casual. Recommended.

Not bad good place for drinks and chat with pals, some bar staff just stood around while husband was waiting to be served one on his phone one pretending to look busy and the other ignoring him. Don't know why? Cocktails was rubbish dident make the effort to make them look nice. Not a bad place tho kids was allowed in dogs was allowed in and the bouncer on the door was lovely.

Bit of a niche bar ...service was good, drinks were ok ....if your not vegan or vegetarian....forget the food ... otherwise it's not a bad place to visit

We visited late... doorman was keen to have us our at a certain time. Alright place feels like it would have been more fun to get there earlier.

Really good food at reasonable prices and fantastic service. There was a slight issue with my order but the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely come again.

Probably my favourite bar in Kelham. Been in a lot lately, always friendly and a very good vibe. Good selection of beers and although I've not been in to eat, the food at Make No Bones always looks lovely. Had good recommendations for it from friends who have eaten there.

First time coming to the old workshop last night and although the food was great, the bar staff were very rude on a few occasions. There’s a right way to speak to people and your staff last night could use some training. Quite frankly it ruined our evening. I hope the kitchen “make no bones” moves so we can visit them again.

From the arrogant and rude doorman who made my friends and myself feel very uncomfortable to the surly and rude staff, this place should be avoided at all costs. A horrible little stain of a venue in an otherwise excellent area.

Nice drinks, interesting decor. Plant based food was great (speaking as someone who expected meat on the table!) and music was subtle. Security guy did an awesome job as well (never thought a bar needed security intervention at 9pm!)

Lovely place on a Saturday night. Obviously the same sorta menu as church, food was good, good selection of beers. Not the place to go for a quiet drink and gets full quickly

Good vegan menu with sandwiches, mains and sides.

Great place for drinking at night and so it seems eating absolutely awesome vegan food on a Sunday afternoon. I had the Tinsley Tower burger which was fantastic, juicy but not greasy like a meat version, the bhaji on there was insane and the slaw was fresh and tasty. My fiancee had the dinner Kebab which she loved, there was a mountain of lettuce on there but it complimented Donner "meat" well. Not too dear either, which for a Yorkshireman is a big plus. Great place, now if only they did exclusive venue hire for weddings!!

Favourite spot in S3. I'm not veggie or vegan but their food is outstanding. Bar and service also excellent. A nice place to drink, dine and hangout.

Okay. I forgot how good Make No Bones is. Absouslty love it. The old workshop is a lovely venue, filled with plants and craft beer. What more could you want

I loved the atmosphere at this place and the staff were very friendly despite how busy they were. They also have a really nice selection of beers etc. Didnt try the food but from what I could see it looked really good.

No idea what’s going on with the app / ordering system. Don’t bother downloading the app from the QR code as it’s just a menu! Eventually they will just take your order from the table! Why not just put drink menus on the table? Be far easier if it’s table service anyway?? A lot of hard graft for one drink.

Only comment toilet door needs fixing as customers leave it open so sat looking at a toilet whilst eating

This place is great! I am a meateater, and the food here is great, despite there being no meat available, as this restaurant is vegan after all. The food was so great, that we shall be back. I would happily recommend this venue for those who want to eat at a place where meat is totally not on the menu. Please check this place out for yourselves! Thank you so much to the staff for being so friendly and welcoming. I do hope that we'll be able to try out your desserts next time 😁

Such a cool, interesting bar with a great atmosphere!

Great food. Just not sure why you need a bouncer on the door it's ridiculous!!!. It is intimidating, intrusive and not needed. I know I need to sanatiser my hands I do not need to be told to do so. It is really put me off. I won't be returning any time soon

Food was good but menu said to consult bar for other ale options, went to bar and got told off for being at the bar. We arrived on time for our 1.5hr booking at 1730 but had to wait 15 mins to be seated because other people wouldn’t leave. Despite being seated late, staff asked us to leave at 1850. A bit poor.

First time eating at a Vegan restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian but my vegetarian friend brought me here to see what I thought, I had the surf and turf burger and it was amazing! The textures and flavours were just way beyond my expectations! Service was really good and they have a really good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. The decor is great and in keeping with the rustic industrial area that is Kelham island. Would visit again!

Lovely little bar with a real charm. The interior decorations remind me of my Nan's house and I liked my Nan's house. Really friendly staff (like me Nan) and just an all round decent place. Visit and you'll see what I mean.

We met here for a reunion Saturday night as a gathering place to meet up before going on. It was great looking place spacious and well lite. It was interesting when a drink was not available at the bar we were not informed they just did not serve anything. So when we were missing a drink we went back and they just said yes we don’t have that! It’s located well and the beer was good!

Realmente me gusta tomar bebidas aquí, pero el bar realmente me decepcionó, ordenó un G&T y el tónico está de barril. Era como limonada, pregunté, pero él me aseguró que era tónico. Cambiar a tónico de barril es un mal movimiento, ya que es rango. Regrese al tónico en botellas y volveremos.

I spent two hours talking to the bouncers. Couldn't smuggle my troupe of underage drinkers in no matter how distracting I was. They caught each one. Excellent work boys. Good drinks too.

I've only been in this place once but I loved it. The decor is very quirky and eclectic. There was a decent range of real ales and unusual gins. The place had a real nice atmosphere about it with a great crowd. Set in a up-and-coming urban area. Highly recommended.

Genuine pub in an industrial estate. "Beer with friends" is their motto. Great variety of barrel beers, all of them artisanal and carefully chosen. Youth atmosphere.

Was pleasantly surprised....first time visiting, and what a great place for a drink! Tucked away in the 'back end' of Sheffield, this place is not what you expect at all. From the outside it looks like a workshop, but once inside...wow!! Will definitely be going back.
