Really lovely place to stay, so homely and lots of room for a family of 5! Brilliant stay, highly recommended.

Very well equipped, clean with good views and 1 min walk from the village pub. The owners up at the hotel were very friendly. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, I agree with the people who were shocked at the cost of the food. We ordered food that was priced at £4.85 if you eat in, then were told that they could add a salad on to it for us as a meal deal, the salad was priced at under £3, we had 2 coffees,£3.60 each yet were charged almost £19! When we queried this, we were told it was because we were eating inside? We'd already paid a premium for this so it really didn't make sense. I definitely wouldn't go back. I left feeling we'd been deliberately ripped off.

Amazing family run restaurant, great staff, food. Great welcome and would recommend. Lots of locals and friendly atmosphere. Entrance on the left not through the main doors!

The Bay Horse Inn in Burythorpe is an excellent pub - very cosy, attractively decorated and with two fire places (at least!) ensuring the place is warm throughout. An excellent range of Old Mill beers on tap, including their Traditional Bitter, of which I couldn’t get enough. We were there every night of our week’s stay in Burythorpe - in fact James, behind the bar, practically had my pint ready for me as I walked in the door after the 2nd evening. The owners and staff were all very friendly, and the food delicious - we ate in the pub four times, with food ranging from burgers, vegetable tarts, pizzas and excellent fish and chips, we were more than satisfied each time. For such a welcoming, cosy village-feel pub with a great warm atmosphere, my only hope is it gets busier over time - perhaps because Burythorpe is a small village, at times we were the only customers in, but it deserves a lot more custom. We’re absolutely hoping to be able to go back at some point.

Food was delicious although not somewhere I’d go regularly as it is very expensive.
