Really lovely place to stay, so homely and lots of room for a family of 5! Brilliant stay, highly recommended.

Very well equipped, clean with good views and 1 min walk from the village pub. The owners up at the hotel were very friendly. Highly recommended!

Booked as a surprise for my girlfriends birthday and we both loved it. The setting is beautiful - we were lucky to get some amazing sunny weather, but I imagine it's just as great and cosy in the colder months too, as there were lots of cosy areas in the hotel with fireplaces. We were staying in the Plum cottage, which is separate from the main hotel and well worth the extra money as it feels very private and has its own terrace area. It was very clean and we were given some hand baked biscuits and a bottle of sloe gin as a welcome gift on our arrival. It also has its own freestanding bath which my girlfriend loved! We booked to use the pool twice. Its small but we had it to ourselves both times so it was lovely. The evening meal was excellent and so was the inclusive breakfast. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially Sandy who welcomed us and showed us to our room - and a special shout out to the hotel's newest employee Neville the puppy, who is super cute and gave us lots of cuddles before we left. The local area has lots of beautiful walks nearby, which we went on to do after we checked out. Would definitely recommend for a little countryside getaway somewhere special.
