My new favourite place to eat, quality ingredients, lovely kind friendly staff, delicious food, massive portions (I’m eating the leftovers at home now) So nice to have easy access with loads of parking and vanilla custard slices that are so big they look like they are meant for the whole family. I’m an ex chef and I can honestly say this is simple food done to a standard that is unbeaten in the area. In these tough times it’s a treat to eat out for many but at least you won’t be disappointed here

A minor detour off the A477. Nicely set up cafe. We had the apprentice breakfast, very tasty and plenty filling. Really enjoyed the bacon, egg and toast. Quality ingredients.

Oh my goodness. Make sure you run off and go to this cafe. Almost looks like a small Greek taverna. Stunning brunch - 3 huge, fresh, fluffy pancakes with the most amazing bacon a flavoursome sausage patty and perfectly fried egg on top. Perfection. The cakes looked amazing. We have had takeaway enormous custard slices before now and they were sublime. Everything in the shop is Welsh and locally sourced so I had to leave with some awesome Parsons pickles. All I can say is go there and enjoy.

Dog friendly with amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful. We ate outside and had the best breakfast, vegetarian for me that was cooked to perfection. My wife had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and let me say they don’t skimp on portion size. A real find and well worth a visit to the farm shop too.

We went to the Coal house for a meal with our friends to get together one evening as a catch up to see everyone, we were warmly greeted and the staff was excellent. We had a nice tasty starter to begin with that didn't take long to serve.. Then Dinner was delivered soon after, which unfortunately wasn't quite up to the standard of the starter, it was nice and tasty but did lack abit in the quality, I personally had scampi, chips and peas, and yes it was nice, but was lacking in overall, a few of us agreed that the dinner wasn't quite a 5 star meal but more of a 3-4 star quality.. Soon after dinner desert came and was a very tasty desert. I personally had sticky toffee pudding and custard and was delicious. So overall we had a nice welcome, good starter and desert, but the main dinner meal was slightly behind.. But the staff were fantastic and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks you Coal house 😊

I was pretty dubious about our visit, given some of the TripAdvisor reviews, even warning our fellow guests to wrap up warm! I'm not sure why there have been so many bad reviews this last year, I can only say that we didn't experience any of the issues that have been described by others. First off- having worn several layers, I didn't need them! It was really toasty in the building, especially given that it wasn't heaving with people and it's an old building- people need to bare in mind that they're draughty (and need to be) and hard to heat. Especially industrial buildings with large open spaces. We had a friendly welcome on arrival, and our waitress was friendly and happy, sharing her thoughts on some of the menu options. We asked for a taster of a wine (I'm a fussy bu&&er!) which was very generous, and a really good wine for a good ("out") price. We ordered our food and it arrived in super quick time. Everything was perfect and absolutely beautiful. Because I like a little of everything and my husband is a human dustbin, we opted for the 4 banging buns- oh my goodness! Every meat was tender, juicy, flavoursome. The fries (usually my favourite bit) took a very back stage (although perfect-crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside!) to the mouth-watering burgers. The coleslaw- usually a bit meh, when you have it out- was tasty, with enough pepper to make it register. Our friends had the smoked brisket and the buttermilk chicken. Their meals were a good size, especially for the price, and they really enjoyed them. Given that you could spend more in a pub chain, on mass produced and ultra processed food, and have less on your plate, Cattle and Co have earned a place in my "go-to" local food joints. Their prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get- both quality and quantity. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

We had a delicious meal from the lunch menu which is great value. One of the best salads I've had in a long time and made extra delicious with the garlic bread from the starter menu. My daughter loved her food from the child's menu which was great value. Glad we booked as it was busy but all the staff were working hard and so accommodating. We will definitely return! Highly recommended.
