One of the best pubs in the area. Service is excellent and the people are warm and welcoming. Great selection of beers. Tried other pubs in the area and the beer always tastes better here. Michelle and Jason the landlords are so warm and welcoming and make you feel at home and at ease.

Wow!! Ive worked at this pub since I was 15yrs old and never has anyone made my little boys day like this! He is a massive spiderman fan and Jason went above and beyond to make Max's dream come true on meeting the real spiderman!! It's the little things that count and I honestly can't thank the old ford enough! I have one very happy 4yr old so thankyou Jason and Michelle! If you haven't already please come to this amazing pub. X

After patronising this pub for many years, the new management who have just taken over have turned out to be hostile to LGBT groups. Very disappointed.

Skye hosted my dad’s 60th birthday party on Saturday the 16th of March! And I can honestly say she ensured we had the best evening! Both Skye and Ashley were very prompt and pleasant when serving the guests. We will 100% recommend Skye. She ensured everything ran smoothly and made us have the best night celebrating!

We hired the hall for a 21st birthday which turned into a surprise engagement!. Excellent staff, very accommodating. Very good for around 40 people also if needed can sit in the pub area as well for older people to have a rest from the party music. Access to outside garden area as well and easy transport in the area if visitors want to drink alcohol. Very good price, but speak with the landlady as can vary dependent on how many people.

Pub is alright, food is decent. There was horrible drunk men around harassing people and when reported, no action was taken. Very unprofessional behaviour won’t go again

Arrived at this pub bearing in mind we had been warned about the management and their attitudes being poor. Went in respectfully ordered our drinks and sat down. Whilst I was on my way in I was being stared and made to feel uncomfortable by 4 men outside. Had to go back to my car to get change to pay for this pool. On my way back, I was blocked by one of the men unable to get back into the pub and was given inappropriate comments right in front of my face. They knew I was alone so thought it was good to intimidate a 20 year old girl. After they did this, the men sat down continued to make comments about my appearance and my behaviour to the harassing gentlemen. I went in and told my partner who came out to my defence as any right person would do. However the land lady came out and asked what happened and I explained the situation very calmly and appropriately, hoping she’d understand as a woman. And instead of defending the victim, they protected their regulars and made my feelings and experience invalid and kicked me out in a very unpleasant way

I attended the Old Ford Pub for a friend's birthday a few weeks ago and had a lovely time. Really great location, just by the train station! The staff were all very attentive and friendly with quick service.

The pub had three good beers when we arrived and within an hour and a half there was none! This was a busy Saturday night. I thought it just meant changing a barrel but apparently no beer in the cellar either! Very strange!!

Wasn't the greatest circumstances as was there for a wake but first time visiting and really really nice place. Lovely and helpful staff, very friendly and good atmosphere all round. Function room was spacious and also large outside seating area with small park for the kids to play. Also has a car park and right next door to a train station. But would definitely recommend

Came in to watch the Women's football during lunch, and the manager and staff were very welcoming and friendly, offering great service, and good food and drink!

I have been coming here for a few months now. My visit on Friday 07 July coincided with an early evening live entertainment stint which really made my day it was so pleasant to have live entertainment on an early Friday. As usual the staff were incredible and the overall ambience was as usual great. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Never been here before until today. Really good value for money. Had lunch, food was so nice, and inexpensive, I've paid more elsewhere for what I had and it's been bad. So this was really good. Very friendly ladies behind the bar also! And very accommodating and helpful when asking for a highchair for the baby. Also looks like it has a nice outdoor space too!

A great little pub with a great lunchtime sandwich selection. Plenty of outside seating, pool table and dartsboard. Show the sport as well 👍🏻

Good evening the band were very enjoyable they engaged with use the audience and played some good tracks worth the effort to see .The pub has a good vibe and the prices ok at 15.60 for 2and a half pints of bitter and a pint off orange juice and lemonade. Luckily the people we were with helped a lot

We celebrated a 70th birthday party at The Old Ford. Nothing was too much trouble for Margaret at her team, the food was great and a lovely time was had by all! Highly recommended.

I did not like it. Ordered some chips found some hairs stuck in the melted cheese.

Spent Mothers Day here. Fab 3 course meal, reasonably priced, lovely food. Bar staff incredibly attentive. Mums were treated so well, with some lovely extra touches. This pub is a hidden gem. Definitely recommend.

Went for impromptu Sunday lunch. Best described as a proper quaint english pub with loads of character. Staff were awesome from the start. Sense of humour, chatty, cheeky and cheerful. A credit to the place, thanks. Food was good but not spectacular. Plenty of veg, meat, sauces, gravy, etc. No complaints at all. If you want fine dining then this is not where you should come. If you want a hot, filling, typical British sunday lunch, then give this place a try. £11.50 for main plus apple crumble and custard. Drinks were reasonably priced too. £38 all in for 3 of us. Thanks for making us feel welcome.

Something you rarely find these days, an independently owned pub with a very warm welcome. Footy on the telly, great selection of beers, friendly staff and in Margaret a top landlady. We often pop in for a drink (very reasonably priced) and it’s like a home from home. We recently hired the back room for our son’s birthday party. The buffet supplied by Margaret was first class and we were able to use the room as we pleased. If you fancy a quiet pint in a homely environment then you won’t find much better. Equally if you’re looking for somewhere to hold a small party then I’d highly recommend.

Had not been to the Old Ford for a few years, returned last night and WOW. So much has changed, the garden looks great, with loads to keep the little'uns occupied. The seating area is more defined and bordered with a fence, large gazebos keep everything undercover so you can still enjoy your day/night in the rain. Julia and the team really have turned it around for the better. Roll on the end of restrictions so we can get back inside for the entertainment. Without a doubt I'll be revisiting.

Visited a few weeks back but only got round to reviewing it now. One of the best pubs I've ever visited... friendly clientele and staff really make the place and the last train to Reading is late enough for you to let your hair down. Prices are pretty low by southern standards, and honestly you will not regret going here. Wish I still lived in the area!

Popped in for a pint and it had changed a lot since I was last in (quite a while ago). Very nice bar and a lovely pint too. Will be back.

Our lovely little local. "Mark the chef" is superb with the food! Very dog and child friendly! Very welcoming with the world's best staff! Wonderful landlady where nothing is ever to mich trouble! Proves hard work pays off, very well done to everyone at the old ford! 👏 ❤️

Nice pub, in-between the Blackwater River and North Camp Station. Nice place to meet my parents either from their home or on route as its half way between their house and mine in Guildford, I use the railway lines a lot! Great selection of Ales plus good history of the pub!

Such a lovely place to spend a sunny Saturday held my sons first bday here was a hit. Margaret the landlady was amazing so accommodating the venue itself is a fair size pub with a function room in the back and good garden for kids. Good prices wonderful atmosphere and lots of parking.

Great pub. After an evening out in Guildford and returning to northcamp we stumbled across The Old Ford on the way home. We received at very warm welcome by the owner, the service was quick and fantastic. We were happily watched over by the pub dog Toby, who was more than friendly. Definitely coming back. Amazing pub. A little hidden gem. Food amazing, staff attentative and friendly. Very safe and organized venue. A must if you are in the area.

In this climate when the local pubs are needed most arrogant landlords are using to their advantage. Not this place a real find, local patrons and a brilliant atmosphere.The roaring fire wins hands down and the owner Julia is more than attentive with the restrictions and providing a fantastic service. The locals are a friendly bunch too even if the loudest does support QPR......but that aside a fantastic mix of drinks and bar food with hopefully a great sunday roast when things ease off. All in all a great little treasure and well presented and staffed give this place a visit and you will not be disappointed.

Staff are polite and freindly...also very strict with the covid rules, which I am very impressed with as some other public houses lack government safety measures. Food is very nice on Sundays, people there are very welcoming and polite I think the old Ford caters for everyone. Very happy to pop in there from time to time Martin James

A good ' old school' English pub with well kept beer and a top of the range landlady. No loud music to ruin conversation. Strict mask and hand sanitizer rules ensure a safe but welcoming atmosphere. Great Sunday roast menu.
