Sehr gemütliches, typisches Pub. Sehr netter Barkeeper. Absolute Empfehlung. Das Wimbledon Bier und auch die Chicken Wings und das Knoblauch Brot schmecken super!

I was very pleasantly surprised by their sunday roast. I popped in after a long playday in the park with my dog and the beef sirloin roast was exactly what I needed to warm up again and re-energise. the beer selection is good too, thank you for your recommendation, Laurynas. big thumbs up for warm customer service and for being dog-friendly

Pub agréable à l'ambiance vivante. On y mange bien et on y est bien accueilli. Les enfants y sont acceptés si l'on mange comme à peu près partout à Londres

My wife and I were in the area for a tour around Wimbledon that we had received as a Christmas present. We were early and decided to stop at The Old Fields for lunch. We had a lovely experience. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. If we get lucky and get tickets for Wimbledon, we'll definitely visit the pub again.

Amazing pub! Really nice vibe and really nice people. The staff are great, especially Sylvia! Really enjoy the place as my local and its welcome for all ages and people. The food too has been amazing every time I go there, no complaints and always full of flavour. 100% recommend for a nice evening out!

Came here for some nibbles and a catch up with friends as I am new to the area, we had the chicken wings which were banging, Great selection of beers and gins! Staff were fantastic felt like a home away from home which I love in a pub, thanks for the wonderful visit will be a regular in no time ❤️

Drinks are cheaper than some pubs in the area, really good food selection and nice chill dog friendly pub. No garden but there is outdoor seating available facing a moderately busy street.

Was visiting friends, who’ve moved to the area and was struggling to decide where to go for dinner, so went for a “quick pint” in The Old Fields to begin with. Needless to say, we stayed for a couple and ended up having food as well - sausages, some squid, burger sliders… we were sorted! Definitely a little hidden gem of a pub in the area. Recommend!

Awful Breakfast. Don’t do it! I asked for tea - “no hot drinks”. I asked for a bacon butty - “I don’t have that button on the till”. Went for a breakfast sandwich - I got a fried egg on two pieces of bread! Sent it back. They added bacon to my two pieces of fry bread and cold egg. I asked for brown sauce - “we don’t have any”. Awful. Awful. Awful.

This place is absolutely filthy… the chairs are horrendous stained, ripped, tables weren’t wiped .. certainly wouldn’t wish to eat there if the front of house is like it is what are the kitchens like

I absolutely love this pub, such a warm welcome every time I go for a beer! Definitely recommend the Guinness. The management team are fabulous and always there to help you. Also if you love sport this is the place to go!

I visited the pub for Sunday lunch with my mum after having many positive experiences there, clearly a lot seems to have changed since. We ordered 2 roast dinners that both came out cold even the jug of gravy we had was cold too. After asking for a refund I was told this had been done for me but now having to chase up the pub for my money as this clearly hadn’t been put and the staff working clearly need some customer service training too.

The way how they treat is…. Is my second time when I’m in …. Sorry but try to make your stuff to have a polite attitude , to be respectful not to start to fight !

I’m a local Residence to the area , I’ve often popped in to the old fields after work and for a few drinks with my girlfriend . I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. I’ve became great friends with the whole team and it’s taken many evenings to be able to say that! Customer service is A*. Even on the busiest nights when their backs are up against the wall. So I’d like to say thank you to In no particular order Amy, Aaron, Julia, tyrell, David, Cameron, karl , tyreis, Josh, and Olivia. Thank you for always exceeding expectation and making me personally always feel welcome and at home

Dog friendly pub which is excellent choice for a couples and to watch a fotball or rugby match. It has lots of spaces, multiple TV's and a projector. In addition a wall of nice dogs, which is great as they are dog friendly. Staff is quite easy to get a hold of, and the bar has some different and the usual beer and cider.

Always a friendly and professional welcome at this great pub. Stopped for lunch and it was delicious - couldn’t resist the sticky toffee for pud! It’s a real gem and worth a visit. Great hygiene practice appears to be in place too for covid precautions.

Conocí a un par de amigos temprano una noche en este lugar. Era bastante tranquilo, así que encontramos una buena mesa y asientos para poder ponernos al día. Las bebidas estaban bien, pero queríamos pedir algo de comida. El menú contenía principalmente, lo que yo llamaría, comida muy grasosa e. sol. chips, etc. ¡Nada saludable en absoluto! No hace falta decir que no comí nada. Una sugerencia sería satisfacer todos los gustos y quizás agregar algunas opciones saludables al menú

We moved to the area in the summer of 2018 from Tooting and found the Old fields pub. From day 1 we have been made to feel welcome.

Mi novia y yo visitamos campos viejos para cenar esta noche y estoy muy triste de decir que nuestra experiencia no fue nada buena. Cuando subí a pedir nuestra comida, básicamente me dijeron que la única opción sin gluten era un poco de pollo a la parrilla y algunos lados. Me dijeron que podía tener las papas fritas y el puré de papa, ya que no contienen gluten. Y para mi novia tuvimos un bistec de 8 oz.Cuando recibimos nuestra comida, mi pollo estaba seco y sin ningún condimento, mi papa “puré” estaba sólida como una roca y tengo una sospecha disimulada (una que no puedo probar) de que las papas fritas no contenían gluten, ya que me informaron que se debían a la cantidad de dolor que tengo ahora en casa.Realmente me entristece tener que hacer esta revisión, ya que en el pasado he sido un cliente habitual, pero la comida ha ido muy mal recientemente.El mal personal es muy amable y no quiero que se les culpe por esta mala crítica.Además, solo como un consejo, creo que debería hacer más opciones sin gluten. Es tan fácil de hacer. ¿Por qué no comprar salchichas sin gluten en lugar de las normales ya que tienen el mismo sabor? ¿Por qué no usar harina de maíz en sus salsas en lugar de harina de trigo?

Fui a comer algo con pocos amigos, para pedir bebidas en el bar no estaba tan ocupado, 4 empleados detrás del bar y lo tomaron como 15 minutos. Cuando pedí comida, no se ofreció ningún lado, mal servicio, he esperado 25 minutos una bandeja de halloumi de pollo mientras mi amigo esperó más de 30 minutos una excelente hamburguesa de bistec con papas fritas. La comida estaba bien. Nada especial. Cuando ordenó el postre a las 9 pm, el hombre dijo que la cocina ya estaba cerrada, después de unos minutos, otro miembro del personal vino diciendo que la cocina aún estaba abierta, los brownies eran realmente buenos.

Staying nearby and having a meal at Bosa Lebanese (byob and very recommended!) we were early so sat outside and had a glass of wine. Friendly staff, good sized bar will visit again when return this September

Segunda vez que vou a esse pub aqui em Londres. Comparando com outros o lugar é bem mais clean, não tão escuro e fechado. Tem umas mesas fora também que são muito concorridas se o tempo tá bom. Atendimento legal e boa cerveja. Dessa vez não comemos, só bebida!

Otra visita a Wimbledon para el tenis y paramos en los campos de Noche Vieja para algunos alimentos - fuimos para el "gran pescado y patatas fritas". No es tan grande como la que sugiere el menú pero "grandes" viene con pequeñas piezas de pan con mantequilla y un escabeche devilled whitebait y cebolla (que no pude encontrar). De todas maneras, la comida era abundante. El ambiente era bastante bueno, con un montón de locales y visitantes a este pub, que tiene un menú bastante amplia. El único inconveniente fue que esta vez el personal del bar eran, inicialmente, Ocupado con algo o otros y parecía negarse a reconocer que yo estaba parado en el bar esperando a la orden (nadie pero en el tiempo). Una cálida bienvenida, una sonrisa y un "estar con ustedes en un minuto" hubiera hecho maravillas.

Estado aquí un par de veces. Es un lugar muy agradable. Oímos que estaba un poco atrás, ni idea de lo que era antes, pero tiene una buena distribución. Limpio. Bar de tamaño decente y una amplia selección de comida, incluyendo algunos platos muy únicos y cosas para probar. El personal es bastante amable. Los servicios son la parte superior de unas escaleras grandes que es molesto pero bien. Sólo una sidra de barril y no en las ofertas happy hour - eso es molesto. No es barato pero tampoco exageradamente caro. Puedes conseguir una mesa. Locales parece amable (busque el perro gigante - él es encantador) y hacen un increíble concurso organizado por una encantadora chica de Nueva Zelanda los martes. Si estás en Southfields - lo recomiendo.

Was staying nearby for a week and went in a few times. The guy behind the bar was always friendly and helpful. Good pub grub, and well priced drinks.

A group of us went here just before Christmas, the staff where very rude, and unwelcoming. A few of the groups meals had to be taken back, as the meat was so hard! They couldn't even provide one gluten free meal (very bad in 2018) I had to order a curry when I got home. I also had to bring my own drink in, as they didn't even know what drinks were gluten free. NEVER AGAIN!

We have had drinks here before and always been pleased. Today we tried Sunday lunch and glad we did. Every member of staff was warm and welcoming. We found a nice table at the back, all still very festive and chilled! After ordering the roasts we set about playing some of the board and card games available to borrow. Lunch was served and very tasty too, so much we couldn’t fit in deserts! Many people including their children came and went, a great friendly atmosphere.

Came to this pub with a brood of youngsters and could not have been made to feel more welcome. All the staff were fabulous and super helpful and even tailored the kid's deserts so they all felt super special. Rarely been given such great service from a whole team of staff! And the food was delicious too, a cut above your average pub food - being delivered with a smile makes it all the better. Keep up the good work! We will be back.

La primera impresión fue un poco preocupante ya que entramos en el pub, ya que estaba bastante vacío, excepto por una mesa de trabajadores en alta en otras palabras. El personal era amable y servicial, y no nos importó el menor peticiones personalizadas para los elementos de menú. Been a couple of times to this pub when in Southfields area and it is a great spot when the weather is good to sit outside and watch the world go by. Good prices and selection of beers and spirits.

Had an okay lunch with a beer in this typical London pub, with plenty of dining/drinking space, massive-screen tv (and other tvs too). It was great to get respite from heat outside - the air conditioning was great.

This pub has had several upgrades and we have been there before the ambience in the pub itself is good.Today we decided to have sunday lunch there at about 13.30 , it was not hugely busy or full so we thought it would be okay.I ordered the roast chicken dinner as beef had rin out and had seen lamb shank which didnt look good.45 minutes later we were just about to ask for money back and go food arrived.Firstly plates were cold along with everything else on plate apart from the gravy.My husband refused to eat it as he tried some chicken which took about 10 mins to cut through as it was so tough. The yorkshire was like a bit of sponge but denser.I ate the carrots and parsnips as they were ok if cold.I dont mind paying for a lunch but firstly having to wait 45 minutes and then gettig such a sub standard meal was totally ridiculous and there is no way i would ever eat there again

The Old Fields is a well decorated bar with a nice atmosphere. Large portions of good food; the pulled pork macaroni is a highlight. Unfortunately when we went for Sunday roast, they had no accompanying sauces such as mint, apple, horseradish; something as basic as that should be fixed and is a expectation for most customers I'm sure. Some staff were very friendly where as some seemed bored and like they didn't want to be there. However, as it serves the best British food in Southfields, I would recommend it if you're in the area.

I went to Old Fields yesterday, my second visit. On first visit food was slow to come and then not hot. This time my daughter's food was hot from the fryer but mine was a warm sloppy burger (brown meat juices pooled in the lettuce). When asked how the food was, I said "not hot", but the lady just smiled and walked off. Definitely never coming here again. The pub was not very busy so no excuse. Pub has no close competition so no incentive to improve and must do a roaring trade during Wimbledon fortnight.

Visited quite a few times after work or on a Sunday evening. Like the comfy seating and ambient lighting. Friendly staff and tasty pub grub. The food offers are really good value.

Visited here after being at the Wimbledon tour. Food was very tasty and good choice on the menu. We asked for a draft beer recommendation as had some local ones and they offered is a taste which was good. Has level access to gets in and disabled/baby changing available.

Sorry but as a local resident I'm dismayed by this place, on the one hand a large G & T costs an eye watering £9! Yet the clientele and surroundings are of an average or poor pub. I made the mistake of going in for a Sunday roast once and had the 'lamb shank', I've never managed to eat such tasteless lamb anywhere! Well done for being so completely terrible

Delicious burgers, friendly staff, lots of space and the stakes are mouthwatering. We live nearby so its our favourite pub after only 2 visits.

My boyfriend and I have just moved to Southfields and decided to go to the pub to check it out. The atmosphere was great and the food was amazing we demolished our meals within minutes. It was quite busy, but everyone was still really friendly and the food came quickly!

Went here for a few drinks with a friend. The service at the bar was very friendly and pretty efficient. They did some nice mixed nuts in a jar which were good. Quite a nice location pub near Southfields station with a few informal dining places nearby in case you get peckish later on.

Went for lunch with daughter. Decided on burgers (just under £12 each) and soft drinks. Burgers arrived very quickly but not ours, these were taken away and brought back out immediately served to 2 gents sitting nearby. After a 20 mins wait our burgers arrived, they were delicious but the fries were not very hot, or warm for that! As we were leaving a family who were there when we arrived were complaining they hadn't had their meals yet. These arrived just before the Manager they had requested. The place has great potential but needs to be a less laid back with their service.

Roast lunch - Sunday special - today. The beef and the chicken were great (indeed the skin on the chicken was fabulous), as were the Yorkshire puddings but the vegetables were a let down. The roast potatoes were under-cooked and in an previously unheard of development I left them and the rest not really worth eating.

We visited this pub twice between aborted attempts to get in to the Tennis at Wimbledon.The staff were very friendly and the service very good. On our first visit we had lunch and on the second just drinks. Very good ambience with lots of TV's to watch the tennis.We couldn't get a tea or coffee which we were surprised about and the toilets were on the first floor which may be a problem for the less abled.Overall a great find that I don't hesitate to recommend.

This place is victim of its own success but then I went during Wimbledon fortnight. The place seems very well run and the staff are extremely helpful, particularly the waitress who was very keen to clean the table as soon as we sat down. I would like to revisit during any other fortnight for another experience.

Have been to Old Fields three times in last two weeks. It is the quintessential English Pub claiming to be Family friendly during day and happening place at night. Food has been good. Well prepared and tasty. Beer is good and the atmosphere during the lead up to Wimbledon and during the Euro championships has been exciting. Good place to be

We have been a couple of times to this nice pub with our children and had an enjoyable time. There is always a friendly welcome from the staff and the food is great. The pub is clean and welcoming with good decorations and a pleasing variety of food and drink.

Fish and chips were classic. I was only going to eat half, but ate it all. The British beef and ale pie was also very good with the mashed potatoes. Very friendly staff and free Wi-Fi. Will definitely come back if ever in the area again

This is my local pub but was put off by the quality of the food. However, I feel that things are beginning to turn as the food was much better this time and the staff were more attentive and welcoming - so hopefully things are on the up!!

we walked into a lovely warm room with the biggest Christmas tree sparkling in the middle.We ordered food and drinks at the bar and the friendly barman helped me back with the drinks. The food was delivered promptly and was delicious and a generous size.portion. I recommend the fish and chips and the burger.The staff checked on us, chatted to us and made us feel very welcome.

My first impressions were good, welcoming, tidy pub. Unfortunately our food took a long time to arrive and when it turned up both meals were cold. No staff asked if our meal was ok and when the plates were taken away we mentioned it was cold and I was impressed we got a refund on food.

I visited The Old Fields on a Sunday with a nagging craving for omelette. Although it was well past brunch service time, the manager, Roy, was nice enough to have a chat with the chef and made me the best egg on toast, a very generous portion that satisfied my craving and gave me more appetite for a side of chips.Thanks Roy! Having visited a number of times I would highly recommend this pub. Friendly staff and a great selection of drinks and food. On our last visit there were a few bits that some of us weren't happy about with regards to the food- hopefully this was just a one off as it'd be a real shame to spoil such a nice local pub :-)

Son recently moved into Southfields area. First thing on dads agenda - find a decent local!! Being a publican, I do tend to get an idea of a place rather quickly. And this place ticks all the right boxes. And more. Quality surroundings, good mix of drinks, great atmosphere, decent activity programme, good food offering. And really great to see a landlord who is involved, friendly, approachable - if he lived nearer, I would offer him a job!!!

Me and two friends was in london staying at a friends for NottingHill Carnival. We walked passed this place and decided we would get some food.Everything on the menu sounded really good to us at the time. I went for a burger and bacon-naise fries.First of all it was so expensive but we kept quiet and paid.When the food came it was so salty, you'd think the chef would try the food before serving it to guests!!The waitress was so patronising also that we felt it was pointless in telling her that something was wrong. She checked on us 3times as to make a point. But we didn't eat any of the food so she knew we didn't like it. Staff could do with customer service training!Chef needs training. Too much salt does not taste good!!

The panna cotta dessert was smooth and full of flavoura fantastic lunchfood came out quickly perfect for a lunch break

Visited here with a mate on the 18th August, during a trip to London mainly for the Wimbledon tour. Must admit after what had already been a long day of travelling about and activity, this place was a very welcome little break. Enjoyed a nice relaxing pint or two of Amstel in here with good company. The staff weren't overly friendly but to be fair they weren't terrible either. Maybe they sensed we were from the north or something but still no real complaints. The place seemed quite clean and there was a nice enough atmosphere. Good.

As other reviewers have noted, the former "Garage" pub has changed hands and name and become the Old Fields. It has kept its essential character of a combination of a pub and a gastro-pub, but without the pretentions that some of the latter have. Went there for Sunday lunch, when it was relatively quiet, and had a great meal with a good bottle of rioja at a reasonable price - well cooked, well presented and fairly speedy service. It also had a children's menu which looked great value.The only downside to the Old Fields is that it does not have a outside terrace or garden, or it would be even better.

Went with husband and kids. Great buzz in the pub. Staff while v busy were helpful and great with the kids.

I went to the Old Fields pub with my boyfriend for a drink and dinner after a crazy day at work so we could chill out but that didn't happen, it ended up stressing us out even more! I had eaten at this pub the week before and the service and food had been perfect and the staff were amazing, but that wasn't the case this time. I had chicken skewers and flatbread, the flatbread was like a rock and the coleslaw looked like it had been sitting out for hours. My boyfriends burger bun was totally stale. When we complained they just seemed like they couldn't be bothered. They got him a new burger which took 25 mins while mine just sat on the table waiting, so I had mine cold. I finally got another flatbread but it wasn't great. No apologies were offered, or a refund or complimentary drink. I would never go back here for food, it totally ruined our night and it was a lot of money wasted.

don't mistake this place for what it was previously. it's not the same as on tripadvisor, and I think they really need to change this. the old place seems to have had some bad reviews, this place is a great gastropub.have had the smoked hickory burger here a few times, and it's fantastic. i've eaten a lot of burgers in my artherosclerotic time, and this is one that i'd make a decent trip to have again.

Having decided to eat here after a long day and work and being super hungry, my boyfriend and I decided to order two sharing boards - the pulled slider and board and the fish and chips board. We then ordered off a very distracted girl who insisted that it was two boards for £5. The boards being around £10 each we were surprised at this price and wished to clarify it as the overall cost seemed far too low. She then "realised" her mistake and added something else to our order which bumped the price up to what we would expect. She then provided us with an itemised receipt to ensure we had ordered what we wanted - however this was a receipt for a single baileys - not at all what we'd ordered! Having say down we waited for our food and lo-and-behold we we delivered two starter burgers. We then stated this wasn't what we had ordered and the girl that served us apologised for her mistake and rectified our order, giving us one of the boards on the house; a very appreciated gesture.Our two sharing boards then arrived. The pulled burger board (supposedly consisting of two pork burgers and two brisket burgers) had four pulled pork burgers on. The fish & chip board (listed on the menu as two fish sliders, scampi, baby squid, gherkins and chips) consisted of four fish sliders. Not at all what was advertised. Whilst the good was quite nice, we weren't all that impressed with the service. We will return to drink here but certainly not eat.

I went here whilst visiting family in Southfields, as we were recommended here for their roast dinners. The restaurant is over the road from Southfields tube station.We were not let down by the food, surroundings or ambience, and we all enjoyed a delicious hearty roast dinner ( plenty of other choices.. but we were specifically looking for a roast dinner)The menu was reasonably priced, and the food very delicious!All the staff were friendly and helpful too, and they had some superb desserts on offer.I will definitely be visiting again on my next visit to London!

Nice Pub....great Food!!The staff (only 2 Girls at lunch time serving in this big pub??!!) very nice...Food very tasty...

So we order food despite them not having half of what is on the menu. We wanted the Sunday roast. We had seen this huge sign in the street. Well I guess they forgot to take the sign down. Anyway we order some other food and wait. An hour later this guy comes to our table and says that they gave our order to someone else and here is our money. Nice but we are hungry and we don't feel like going somewhere else or wait another hour for more food. I talk to the manager and she obviously doesn't have the story straight. She thinks we refused the food. I wish we'd the chance. Anyway after explaining to her what the correct procedure is when you screw up a customer's order she rushes through some food and we are finally eating. In all fairness it's the start of the Wimbledon tennis tournament. They are busy. They need to get it together. The fish and chips is good.
