Hi came to this pub with a group of friends. Was denied access due to be appearently too many Asians. Never had this before. Not too happy about the way they went about saying it.

Been there a few times over the past 20 years good clientele good vibes with plenty of sports being advertised.

Vile place with drunk and Threatening locals - avoid at all costs. Had rude stereotyping comments as I walked in from a massively over weight man which I ignored and had glasses thrown at me whilst I left staff watched and did nothing. I’ll be supplying my video evidence to the police.

Nice little pub, good atmosphere, prime location. Need some refurbishment. Good service.

Rundown but charming pub, nice staff.

Exit Hayes and Harlington station look right, over the Canal, and if by magic.....shazam there it is. I walked through the doors and thought ok.....'Working Man's Pub', but that was no deterrent. It's a bit rough and ready, no 'heirs and graces' but lovely clientèle and staff. Pièce De Résistance by far is the price of a pint. Cheapest this side West of Paddington. In fact, the Cheapest I've found in the whole of London. To be honest, if I took the Elizabeth line return from Paddington, had a good old drink up and wobbled home. It would be cheaper than doing the same in W2 where a pint is generally an eye watering £7.40. Keep on being Old........Crown. Paddington Paulie

Aug 2019 - My boyfriend and I went in to watch the Liverpool match. I was in a wheelchair with a walker and the people were so nice and very accommodating and so friendly. We had a great time and felt at home. The crowd was awesome. They have a smoking area right on the side so you can watch the game and enjoy your drinks. The only downside was I couldn't use the toilet as I couldn't get over the step. Thanks for making my first visit to an English pub such a fun time!! April 2022 - different crowd, different atmosphere. But that could have been due to the time of day. Fewer tables, but that is probably due to Covid. The ladies room was very clean. The Stella beer was really good.

Rudest staff. They need more training! This pub is always filled with crackheads who do drugs in the toilets. Avoid!

John Smiths advertised at £2.40 on billboard on front of pub so how did a pint of JS, 1 large lemonade and 1 small lemonade and a packet of crisps cost £7.95?

All old white men inside. Both times I've gone here i felt like I should just turn around and leave.

We spent a couple hours here after a flight cancelation. Had a couple pints and played cribbage while chatting with a few local folks. Big thumbs up for the absolutely SPOTLESS toilet room.

The first bar that I went after moving to this country. It’s warm, cozy and staff are friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced. A lot of people who visit there seems regular and now that I stay in the same locality I’m a regular too. It’s just they don’t serve food but you can bring your food and eat here. The decor is nice, English, old world charm and the location is good. It’s safe and the staff ensure that regulars are not disturbed by miscreants.

My brother made a Shirt Trip to England and we went here last friday morning and again in the evening. The old crown is a very nice, cozy little pub with fantastic prices. Also, the people here are super nice and welcoming. If you are in Harrow, come here for a good pint of beer. Cheers, and best greetings from the two german guys.

This pub has seen some action. Hard by the canal and railway it has seen Hayes change from rural, to industrial, and now to residential. With Elizabeth Line now open, the changes in Hayes will accelerate - and a pub like this must be "at risk". Old building, older customers, screens for racing and everyone knows everyone else. Orders are poured as locals open the door. See it now, in five years it will be unrecognisable.

Everything what you would ever expect from a pub: horse races on TV, good beer, good and loud rock music, weird guy that all of the regular guests know ("Hallo, my name is Magic..."). Bittom line: great place to spend a nice evening :)

Enjoyable Pub! we were there for 3 nights and every night was really great. Beer is also very good and the regular guest are also very nice and it’s cool talking to them. Will definitely come back when we are back in London. Greetings from Germany and especially to Sarah! Brooklyn Beckham <3

Me and a few friends popped in there for a few. It was a birthday bash going on. Immys 45th such a nice fella. What an amazing night we all had. Birthday cakes drinks etccc. People were amazing. We shall definitely be going back, hopefully on my birthday. Definitely recommend people.

I’ve been a local to this area for 9 years and this is the first time i popped in. It was very nice. It’s during covid so staff were great reminding people about mask. Ordering drinks on phone app was great but no real option for “on the rocks” So tequila came in small shot glass rather than glass with ice, disaronno also in glass no ice but I was happy! It was an excellent visit. Nice punters too. I just wanted to be left alone to play games on my Nintendo switch and have a drink…I’ll definitely be back I do hope they’d consider a more premium silver tequila for future too. Oh shocked with selection of alcohol tho some stuff on app was either unavailable. Again excellent staff, great prices. I’ll be back.

This pub has recently be under new management of a company called Craft Union ,the pub itself has always been nice, however recently coming in i have had the amazing chance to experience the pub at its best. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub and even had fun listening and singing on the karaoke tunes. I then sent one of my colleagues in on a Saturday night and was told there was a fantastic DJ playing that night.I read through some of the reviews but have been shocked by the ones that have reported the pub as terrible. The staff are beyond friendly and was greeted by a young lady behind the bar who was very friendly and looking like she was enjoying the night. The pub is a very well established business and would recommend it to any one i know or those that are new to the area.

If you ready to go at the local pub then your in the right place , staff is professional. Nice place to have a pint

After going to London this place is super cheap! It is a block from our hotel which makes it even better! The bartenders are great! The security guys even like to have a good time always playing jokes on each other. This has been one of my favorite places to go to. Being from the states everyone is making fun of you and it's humourous. We all had a great time. Will be going back in the evening time of our days! Cheers!!

This pub has been under new management since 2018 great atmosphere has karaoke every Friday, Race day winning 2 pints per race, Golden oldies with bingo and dominoes on Thursdays and free pool every Monday. Very friendly has very polite staff and landlord is cheerful. drink only pub

Typical classic english pub nice folk everyone knows each other friendly atmosphere and pool tables a plus. weekly dj playing also live sport on multiple screen definitely recommend this hidden gem

We had such a good meal and experience the first time we went back twice on our girls trip! They have different specials daily at least they did the two separate days we went!

Excellent little pub, really cheap prices and great deals. Decent pool table and big beer garden. Just had a refurb and looks great. The staff are brilliant too and the Irish guy is hilarious. Will return for certain in the future

My friend and I used The Old Crown purely as it was one of only a couple of pubs we found in Hayes, the other being a Wetherspoons. After being served a couple of pints of Stella Artois we found a table that was sticky with seats that were tatty and then we decided to put a few tunes on the juke box. We got talking to a few regulars and it was then that the landlord came over and said that we had caused trouble in here last week and we were to go. Not only had we never visited this pub before, EVER but this was our first and now last visit to Hayes.He is completely bonkers as it was he that served us so if he was so convinced we had been in before why the heck did he serve us? Does not make sense. So, advise is do not bother with Hayes unless you have to visit and if you want a decent drink at decent prices visit the Wetherspoons.

The regulars were talking about the place being under new management. The management was tending bar. If food is served here, I was unaware of it. We came in past the supper hour. Although we weren't the usual patrons, we were made to feel welcome. There is a wide variety of music on the jukebox. It was nice sitting outside under the canopy. I don't drink much, I sipped on one shot of Jameson both nights besides my Pepsi. It was served to me properly, not in a shot glass. My friend, a local, enjoyed his favorite beer on tap. I didn't think to taste it, I should have. Talking to the regulars was interesting for both of us. I look forward to returning to this pub on my next trip to visit my friends.

Yo estaba en la zona visitando a mi hermano que se ha trasladado a una nueva construcción. Él es sólo 28 y está comenzando, así que esta fue la única zona en Londres que podía permitirse para cambiarse. Estoy más suerte que él como siendo mucho mayores pude comprar una casa más barata y en una zona mucho mejor. La zona donde vive ahora mi hermano pequeño es un extraño en su mayoría extranjeros y mezcla de niñatos que viven en uno de los extremos de la ciudad y como jóvenes de clase media (como mi hermano menor) que viven cerca de la estación. Ahora este pub parecía interesante en el exterior por el poderoso buena ubicación, tamaño y parecía ordenado. Pero vaya si ambos tenemos una sorpresa cuando entramos. Todos se miraban como si decir por qué estamos entrando. Buscamos o deberíamos decir lo que la gente dice oído durante un minuto aproximadamente. Oímos el peor idioma fowlest de algunas mujeres, los niños estaban corriendo unos gritos, los hombres eran en su mayoría tan ciego y el lugar no olía demasiado bien. Me imagino que este es el tipo de lugar donde peleas podría salir por las noches. También juro en mi vida podría ser olor de cannabis fumado, pero calculo que estaba meciéndose en desde el jardín de la cerveza. También tengo que decir que vi el personal del bar bebiendo lo que eran sin duda las ganancias. En conjunto este es un pub local, que realmente no es apropiado para turistas y gente de clase media. Es una pena realmente, ya que la zona está cambiando y este pub por el tamaño, la ubicación y el jardín de la cerveza podría atraer a cientos de personas que viven en la nueva construye cerca de la estación, aunque esto sólo podría ocurrir si el encargado del pub tuvo su acto juntos! Al final, nos bebimos en wetherspoons un poco más. Al menos las bebidas eran tipo de barato y había un montón de asientos y no gente mirando fijamente nosotros, es una lástima que la wetherspoons estaba situado en el tramo más duro de la ciudad donde sólo parecía venir al otro lado de mendigos y no hablan inglés. Me podría ahorrar dinero si VIVIESE en Hayes, ya no hay ningún lugar decente para comer o tomar una copa.

Lovely place I been going to this pub since I was 8yrs old the landlord is very welcoming. all the customers that go there treat you like family service is brilliant it's just a lovely place to be in
