The Old Comical Pub is a delightful gem with a charming atmosphere and friendly service. The drinks menu is extensive, catering to a variety of tastes and often live music adding to the vibrant ambiance. A fantastic place to and have a great time. Highly recommended!!

Great pub with great an awesome team. A well looked after pool table, a dart board and hook the horn game for a bit of fun. Great live music acts and karaokes. Fun pub quizzes too. A nice garden to enjoy the finer weather. What’s not to love! They don’t serve food but are happy for you to order you fav take away to the pub… win win!

Lovely traditional pub. Well decorated and comfortable seating. Larger on the inside than its outside appearance. Live music and bar game. Adjacent to public car park and street parking. Ground floor entrance. Dog friendly and accessible. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Although busy, not a long wait to be served as attentive staff. Worth a visit.

Lively pub often hsve bsnds etc ,pool table and very dog friendly! Not sure if they do food .

Don't go during any Drum and base event, or anything similar. will remind you of a youths club. good drinks but overpriced and depending on the occasion the prices will suddenly go up abit. also way too much security on nights where it makes you think that someones been murdered there before. other than that i'd give it a 3/10 which is quite generous.

Fantastic pub in Sandown. Great staff and quick service. We were a Cricket Team of 13 that were visiting from Wiltshire. The locals showed us on how to play the horn game. Pool table, dart board, juke box and great beer!! Will visit again when next on the Isle of Wight.

By far the pub with the best hum on the island. If you grew up in the 80s you are gonna rock here.... take a walk on the wild side is pumping as I write this review.. I will return.

Awesome atmosphere! There was a band and music was good. Service was good but what really made it was the atmosphere.

This is a proper pub with a pool table, dart board, juke box and massive beer garden. It's an old pub that looks as if it has been recently refurbished but managed to keep its charm and not feel sterile. A great place to have a drink.

Amazing place and super atmosphere

Visited here on the 2022 IOW Scooter Rally. Great garden to the rear, and despite being overrun with customers, the staff were smiling and pleasant. Will come again next year! Good love music 🎵 too

Good place for evening entertainment

Great range of beers. Friendly and helpful staff. Huge back garden with good seating and outside tv. Love this place.

Meet up venue with friends we don't see for months on end. Whilst I can appreciate it being busy and staff doing their best, dont appreciate being charged 4 different prices for the same drinks 4 trips to the bar. Ranging from 9.50 to 12.75 (last one was by card!) Too busy to go back and query. Speak with our feet and arrange another venue for all the scooters riders to meet next year. Like the castle?!!

Proper old school pub. No food, but good beer.

Great garden lots of tables and music playing, and covered area with tv. Dog friendly, biscuits for the dogs and friendly bar staff. Would recommend a visit😀

Excellent barmaid (Siobhan) knew all our drinks after our first visit, made us feel very welcome, the pub was nice and clean, great music, new pool table which we enjoyed using, I would definately reccommend this pub.( The 2 g/t’s double bacardi and moretti 👍🏻)

Was told not to go to this pub, so for that very reason myself and my mate did go and I have to say it was a good decision , it is a very good little pub , good atmosphere good service and some good locals who were friendly and good fun . Had a good drink and some good banter and even managed to get the bleeding ring on the horn ! Oh also met a young lady who had a pet fox 🦊Tommy and me are going back and play a tune or two . 8 outta 10

Popped in for a few , met some lovely people and good prices. There was some trouble with one guy, who when I entered was rather loud, but the door man kept a eye on him and removed him as soon as he got rowdy. Well done Gary the door man :)

Old pub that is a blight on the town Poor management full of yobs and drug dealers door staff pointless surrounding area trashed mist evenings by yibs being served even when drunk owners don't care about local community. Place should be shut down or be taken over by someone who cares about the locals who have to wash sick if the door steps most mornings Needs to be renamed the scumical

This place is now the pub you want to go too! Excellent staff excellent renovation work and a great atmosphere. Popped in for a pint and stayed all night need I say more? Although still can't get a grip of the new local he! Go down give it a go!

Fantastic experience but got covid

To many fights outside especially late at night. Not to bad now as it shuts at 10pm but before, would be fighting and shouting up to 2 or 3 in the morning. !

Great little pub just up the hill from the pier, popped in for a lunchtime drink to escape from a very wet August day, and was greeted with a very warm welcome from Laura who was serving drinks, great selection of beers wines and spirits, also good value for money.

Decent pub, with a good light atmosphere. Its a fun place, maybe I missed the connection, or the open mic night, so I'm not sure how it earned its name. Decent selection of beers on tap, good kids menu. Happy times.

We are staying close to this pub, and the noise late at night is dreadful! On Saturday night it continued well past 1am. No consideration for their neighbours at all 😣🤔

The Old comical is over 100 years old and you've modernized it to make it look like it was 10 years old the revamp for me I like the old old comical

Quiet pub in sandown. Friendly hosts, lovely ambience. Beer is good and fair priced. Just hard to find from the main high street unless you already know where it is as we did.

Gr8 atmosphere, good lager, good bands, just takes a bit to long to get served, maybe extra staff are needed.

Just your average pub. Nothing special. Friendly pub with nice bar staff. Not where you'd go for an amazing experience though. Not awful by any means, just not a favourite.

Nicely redecorated but slow service, need more staff on at wknds, sometimes 25/35min wait at the bar but that has been on particularly busy occasions
