Headway North Devon would like to thank Mike and his staff for giving us a very enjoyable day we arrived at 11 o’clock we played skittles all the clients and volunteers enjoyed. It We sat down at 1 o’clock for our meal and there was 27 all together. The meal was for our coordinators JO. birthday?

A lovely bar in the heart of Bickington. Great for the family or a night out. They always are trying to do things for charity. Last night was bingo night for a children's hospice, how lovely. They also have karaoke nights. Bar staff warm and welcoming. Locals are friendly. The food here is traditional and homemade. Sometimes busy and sometimes quiet but a recommended bar.

I regularly come here for there carveys. The staff are very friendly and polite.

A great place to meet. Food is great. Do check opening hours. But it's worth a visit. Their breakfasts are great, and so too are the Nachos

Myself and my partner booked a table to come and have a carvery this afternoon. Neither of us liked the roast, it tasted bland and there was no flavour in any of it whatsoever! I ordered a nut roast and even that wasn’t that nice, I left half of my dinner as I couldn’t eat it because it was just tasteless. We told the barman when we went to pay the bill and he offered us a free dessert but we declined. Very disappointed and won’t be going back there again, won’t recommend sorry.

Only popped in for a drink but was really nice and friendly and a good beer

Excellent full English for 8 quid, unlimited tea/coffee and toast as well! If I'd been a bit later, may well have had a pint!

We came in for lunch and to attend a family fun day with games etc for the kids. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, the kids really enjoyed the games. The food was lovely, I had hunters chicken which was a huge portion and delicious. My husband had the special burger which, again, was a nice big portion and really tasty. The kids enjoyed their chicken nuggets and chips. We will definitely be back for dinner again soon!

Great carvery, reasonable price, recommend booking a table

Very nice , only thing was the wait when there were empty tables . But the grub was ok and still warm . I think that the small , medium and large is a bit silly as it's only the meat that makes the difference in price . And you would like to think that you could get family rates . But sadly not the case . So will I go bk ???yes if I was near there and feeling hungry. But wouldn't go for an arranged meal . As there are many more places just as good if not a little better . But give it a goo.

Really would not recommend this place. Food is not fantastic and the atmosphere is worse. Would not be going here again.

Been under new management for past year. The food is good as is the bar service with a good selection of spirits and real ale. Only thing needed is more support to see it has improved 100% since previous managers. It's worth a try to find out how different the place is.

Great proper pub, with a very good range of drinks, a friendly atmosphere, a good pool table and very good food, especially the Old Barn Burger!

Amazing Sunday dinner again....Great selection of tasty meats ,lovely veg and amazing roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese all topped with lots of lovely gravy. Can't go wrong 👌

Very impressive lunch, my friend and I had Tuna jacket potato and salad which was very tasty and salad was great .would definitely go again.

Went on an early evening bike ride, and stopped in for a pint. Friendly staff, well-kept ales and the food smelled amazing. Parking and outside seating at the rear. Easy access from the Tarka trail on the bikes too!

Nice quiet bar far an afternoon drink never went in at night

This is becoming our new favourite. Absolutely delicious. 3 of us had carvery and child had burger and chips, all said how tasty it was. The gammon was stunning!! We've been a few times and never have any trouble or issues. Thank you to all the staff that make it a great place. Highly recommended!!

The place is terrible and don't waste your time going there. One person ar the bar and it took over ten minutes to get served. The food is disgusting, we were served raw dish and blood shot eggs.

Only visited once but good beer, airy comfortable surroundings, live entertainment and ample on site parking. Just the job.

We come a cross this pub after failing to get into another Pub. Wow what an amazing pub friendly and great service. Food was outstanding. Plus kids could have something other than carvery.

Waited over an hour for food , we were a group of 10, 5 adults 5 children , very simple menu, food came out in groups, first 2 meals came out then after 30mins another 3, then after another 30mins out came last 5 meals , we sat in the beer garden, ( car park ) , safe to say we wont be going back !!

Very good it is what it is staff friendly and food good value has music some weekends

Really nice food, however stop serving food quite early on. However the chef was willing to stay and cook for us despite us arriving just after the pub stopped serving food. Outdoor seating was available and dog friendly however limited shelter from sun or rain should it have rained. All round, a really nice local pub.

Dog friendly pub, looks a bit tired inside, but the food is all home made and delicious. Staff and patrons are all very friendly.

A strange experience. Only three stars because of the decor. The inside doesn't match expectations of the external look, but apparently under new management and undergoing renovations. Hopefully that will make it more inviting and cosy, on the inside. Get over that, though, and have a meal. Today was the first day they started serving food. Menu is a bit limited but what we had was cooked well and very tasty. Excellent dessert too. Well done to the chef.

Proper local pub with homemade food and a welcoming landlord. We had the fish and chips, homemade steak pie which you could have with mash, chips or jacket, and the brunch. (Only 1 place better for brunch) Excellent food and service.

Friend and I went here Sunday lunch.I booked week before.they said there was no booking.had to sit around corner.no laid table.beef tough.inedible.roast potatoes been re heated chewy.lukewarm dinner.not worth money.
