Fantastic pub with live sports on tv and a very friendly staff!! Bartender very knowledgeable with beers and spirits and extremely kind!

Visited here with my dog in tow. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially MOLLY. Cooked two sausages for my dog without fuss or issue and they were so welcoming and helpful during my visit. Thank you to the other barmaid and chef for making my visit so pleasant.

A fantastic early morning of Rugby on the box with a great crowd in to watch the big match...All Blacks giving the Springboks a bit of a lesson down under....Mark is an awesome host...everything organised superbly with the half time fry up cooked to perfection by the Master Chef Gabby..washed down with a coupla refreshing Bows...A brilliant way to start the day...Will be returning very shortly...Cheers to Mark and the crew! A real discovery, right in the center and with a typical atmosphere (absence of tourism). Very delicious food and super pleasant service.

Unfortunately we were not able to have our Christmas meal December. Mark the Landlord got in touch with me and offered us all to come in and have lunch in January/February. Mark, Gabby we all thank you so much the Old Arcade is a fantastic place to eat , drink and socialise . The food was excellent plus Gabby and all the staff were so nice. I I would highly recommend visiting this pub in the heart of Cardiff .

The greatest of pubs in Cardiff. Probably the UK. Knows exactly what it is and what the customers want. Doesn’t try it just works. Love the teamwork from the staff.

Wow what a fantastic,friendly and welcoming pub the old arcade is. The landlord mark and his staff are amazing and cant do enough for you. The real ales are plentiful and so much choice. The variety of food is amazing,well cooked and value for money with special deals on each weeknight. If you want a warm,friendly and fantastic welcome then this is the pub for you. Give it a go you wont be dissapointed

Traditional Welsh pub with an awesome rugby atmosphere and in the middle of all the Cardiff nightlife.

The best Rugby pub in Wales. Been coming here for years, use to have a drink and sit with Barry John and Dibble back in the day. So sad he passed away, lovely bloke so humble and caring. The staff here are Amazing big shout out to Gaby known since I’ve been coming here, always a pleasure to see her. Mark runs a brilliant pub here, and the customers including myself love it here.

Most enjoyable! What makes the place exceptional is the warmth and friendliness of the staff and their ability to remember us and our preferences even though we were just randomly passing through Cardiff. We really enjoy being somewhere where we feel recognised as individual guests rather than anonymous or abstract customers.

All was good until they turned the music up. Loud is good, but it was ear splitting. Such a shame would have stayed if I could have heard what was being said at less than an arms length away.

Thus is the only place to go in Cardiff before the darts. Fantastic friendly atmosphere, great bar staff and very reasonably priced drinks. Love the atmosphere. Gets a bit noisy but that's to be expected.

Great city centre pub with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Lots of brains beers but thankfully they also now have Guinness.

Absolutely delicious food and fabulous atmosphere. This great old pub never fails where service, atmosphere and food are exceptional. The cheese burger I had today was pretty perfect, actually one of the best burgers I’ve tasted. Lovely warm, friendly service. It’s becoming one of my favourite places to visit.

A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you as you enter this venue, it's a mix of old and new and the bonus is simple, great food and of course if you're like me a good selection of beverages, will definitely recommend a visit to all my friends and family. When I worked in the city I was a daily visitor for lunch, now retired it’s a weekly pilgrimage. Mark goes out of his way to create a welcome for all. A great selection of ales & ciders with sport on multiple screens. The staff are always friendly. The rewards card is a bonus.

Popped in this bar for the first time and was really impressed with the atmosphere. Ended up staying for food which was reasonably priced. Shout out to Elise for helping me navigate the vegan options for my son. Will definitely revisit!

Always a great experience. Been a regular visit of mine whenever I'm in the city centre . Great pub, great people and when the rugby is on the atmosphere is amazing.

Classic old Brains pub. Loads of rugby memorabilia around the place. Not my scene, but if you're into that, it's probably worth a visit as the place is historic. I was part of CAMRAS 50th anniversary and the pub did us proud in my view.

Popped in for a couple of beers on way to restaurant. Beer was excellent and atmosphere was great as usual.

Spent a couple of hours in this fantastic,traditional pub last week…all pubs could take a lesson from this place.food great,booze fairly priced and a “good pint” according the the other half,but the absolute best part was the bar staff!the most friendliest we came across whilst in Cardiff for 3days.we stayed around mermaid quay ,nice enough bars there but this one was worth getting the water bus in to the city.this will be our first stop next time we are in Cardiff.well done to this pub for keeping it real!

Amazing atmosphere on match day. Despite being very busy, Elise still made us feel very welcome while serving us!

Came for a family lunch, really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, particularly Elise who served us. All the food was enjoyable, I had the cowboy burger which I’d definitely have again. Look forward to visiting again soon!

Visited yesterday for drinks. It was lovely sitting outside in the sun people watching. Unfortunately, the price for 4 gins with lemonade off the pump was over £24. When we queried the price we were told that each dash of lemonade was £1.80! Absolutely scandalous. Needless to say we left and certainly won’t be calling in again.

Recently stopped bye, travelling through the valley, service was great with some very tasty good deals. Pub was clean tidy with great atmosphere as well.
