The Odyssey Bar & Grill in Solihull

I had a disappointing experience. I ordered a 10oz rump steak medium, but what I got was completely burnt on the outside and practically raw on the inside. Half of the meat was just pure fat, and the texture made it nearly impossible to cut or chew. For the price they charge, I expected something way better. Other than that, the waiters' service is good and they are friendly.

We only came in here to have a few beers, about 10 min walk from the Airport along a covered route. Inside nice clean and spacious bar area with restaurant set back but very large, this being set in a hotel most people seemed to be staying prior to fly in or out of Birmingham International airport. Service at the bar was very slow as only one member of staff who seemed new, we all start some where but why abandon her. I did notice the other older woman constantly walking around but trying to look busy. However when a young lad came he was like rocket fuel in his serving people and clearing up the people waiting to be served

You would be better off grabbing a BK or some other precooked rubbish before coming here .. service is great but that’s where the quality stops . Additionally next morning I have being to the toilet four times . I would avoid this restaurant like the plague!! That’s if don’t want food poisoning .

We had a dinner here around 2030 in the evening. A lot of dishes were not available (also chips not available....quite strange in UK). My smoked salmon linguini were really great, while the burgers were overcooked. Overall a good restaurant, extremely nice staff.

Very rarely do I write a negative review, but felt that I had to be honest with the future customers. We came here for a very late lunch as we had a long wait for our evening flight and made a massive mistake by doing so. We all ordered chicken katsu burgers and they looked both original and delicious on the menu, but what came on the plate was the exact opposite. The 'burger' consisted of two big pieces of fried breaded chicken, which was next to impossible to cut into, let alone chew on. The chicken was the hardest we had ever seen and it felt like it was not only leftovers from earlier in the day, but that it was chicken from the previous days judging by how hard it was. The buns that it was squeezed in between looked and tasted as though they were taken out of a package and put into a microwave instead of an oven. They were so white that it was hard to believe. The buns were stuck to the plate, which goes to show how undercooked they were. What the menu described as 'Asian slaw' was a few pieces of cabbage and carrot underneath the chicken. It was the first time we all saw a burger with no sauce within. The burger came with a side of fries, which were quite nice, as well as a little bit of curry sauce, which the waiter assured us was what the menu described as 'katsu sauce'. Having worked in an Asian restaurant in my younger days, I know exactly what katsu sauce is and it was not it. To put it in short, the burger was not only the worst burger any of us had ever had, but it was so bad that I am not sure it was legal to serve it. The place got away with it by charging us in advance, because there was no way in the world I would have paid for that burger. The 'chef' as the waiter described him, should be ashamed of himself to let a plate like that leave his kitchen.

Stayed at the hotel ready for an early flight out the next morning.. This restaurant is part of the hotel, and it genuinely serves up some quality cusine.. Freshly cooked to order and the cusine that was caringly served to our table , was visually a delight to recieve and the tastes were delicious.. We're staying at this hotel again next month and for sure we'll dine here again.. So why less for atmosphere? Well, unlike a restaurant on any street, the few members of the public who were noisy, spoilt the experience for a time until they left the building.. The staff aren't able to intervene, as it's a large area of bar and adjoining restaurant.. The restaurant and bar areas are very open spaces with very good lighting...

Blown away by the first-class service provided by Nisha and her colleagues. I am seriously visually impaired and the team went out of their way to make my visit as enjoyable as possible. The food was fab too!

Very disappointed. Atmosphere nice, but food no better then chain pub food. Had Wagyu burger it as OK but frozen chips not ideal for a £19.50 meal. Did mention this to the server who said she would pass comment onto the kitchen. Not impressed. Partner had fish and chip for £21.50 also did not feel value for money. Don't get me wrong more then happy to pay when you have had a nice meal and enjoyed it, but this was very below the standard I would expect for the price paid.

Good quality food, friendly and fast service. Fair prices for an airport hotel. It would be appreciated to have some discounts for pilots and flight attendants.

As hotel restaurants go this is way way above average. Spotlessly clean, efficient and fast service from friendly staff and excellent food as well.

Ok did not enjoy being sat in far corner 20 wait to be served

Fantastic service by Kelina. So very welcoming, kind and prompt. Everyone right from the Reception to the table service makes you feel valued as a customer. The food, though slightly costly, is really good, tasty and well presented. The ambience is nice, clean and well presented. Will definitely visit again when in Birmingham.

Excellent food + great service, rump steak was perfectly cooked(medium) and scallops were yummy 😋, highly recommend eating here if you are waiting for a flight as it's only 5 mins walk from terminal

I’m surprised this Hilton restaurant is so good. Cod fish is great! If you are rush to go to airport and you have reservation at the Hilton, you can eat here and you will be relaxed and happy!

Had a lovely meal and few drinks this evening and the service was first class. The sizzler meals were spot on and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly vibe.

Restaurant intégré dans l'hôtel Hilton Garden Inn à l'aéroport de Birmingham. Excellent accueil. Endroit sympathique et confortable. Cuisine de qualité. Service rapide et de bonne qualité avec du personnel jeune et souriant. Très bon petit-déjeuner également (vous pouvez demander vos œufs sous différentes façons). La cuisine étant ouverte, vous pouvez voir les cuisiniers s'activer à la préparation des repas, ce qui est très sympa.

Nice hotel restaurant inside the Hilton Garden Inn at the Birmingham Airport. Service is friendly. Food arrived fast and was good. The Sizzler arrived sizzling hot and and was fun to eat. Overall not bad for a hotel restaurant.

Had a fabulous meal here last week. I had a pizza and it was probably one of the best I have had in the uk.

Really surprised with how delicious the food was! Great quality and love seeing the chefs in action. When you stay at a hotel airport, you don’t have many options and you expect the worse but this restaurant was not at all like that. All the staff were so lovely and nice.

The restaurant is very good. The quality of the food is high as well as the level of the kitchen despite being the restaurant of an hotel. Also the selection of beers is quite good - I went for an IPA a which turned out to be a good choice. Also the burger was a positive surprise. Although being quite traditional burger the “black” bread was delicious. Definitively recommended.
