The Oceanic Pub & Kitchen in Hillingdon

I wanted to share my recent experience with the “Kids Eat Free” promotion at The Oceanic on 3 November. We specifically chose to dine here because of the location and this offer, as advertised on the Heathrow website. They still have the very misleading link on the webpage. Unfortunately, when we placed our order, the waiter informed us that the promotion didn’t apply so we ordered online via a QR code. Given our limited time before a flight, we didn’t have the flexibility to go to another restaurant. This was disappointing, as the promotion can be seen online and everywhere in the airport, and we felt misled. I would appreciate it if management could look into this and consider a way to make the promotion details clearer for future guests. Located just before security this is well situated for a meal with family or friends before a flight. This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the service was quick and all the staff who dealt with us were polite and friendly. There is also a bar area with a large screen tv showing football when i was there which also adds to being a relaxing place to sit before a flight. If you are short on time you can let the servers know so as to expedite the service so you don’t miss your flight. Much larger portions than i expected and the food was also very nice.

We found this place online as we were staying at a hotel but no meals were provided. The Oceanic pub is located in T3 at Heathrow on the left as you face the terminal and upstairs on the far left. The Staff here were nice and courteous and the service was very good. The food selection was pretty good and reasonably priced with small and larger plates. There is also a full licences bar serving cocktails. We had a cheese burger with fries and slaw which was very tasty and some fried chicken and also a loaded mac' n cheese which had brisket in it. Very tasty food. I would eat here again and do recommend this venue as it is before security.

I had a great time there, enjoyed lunch and food was so yummy and satisfying. Also, very polite staff as they served me nicely.

Good choice of beers but very expensive! Need more staff to save customer waiting time. Food was not very good and again overpriced. Need a decent restaurant landside!!

Three of us went in for a drink and waited for my wife and youngest. On entry, the roof was leaking rainwater and two tables and two others were piled up with used crockery. We made our way further back and spent £20 on drinks. When my wife arrived, she made the apparently unforgiveable error of putting a chair at the head of the table, then going to get more drinks. While at the bar, the two people serving both separately came to complain that their route had been blocked. They didn't ask, they complained. And there was still plenty of room to pass. I dared to point this out. I did not mention the fact that there were only ten other customers present, so they were not exactly over-run, and that our initial choice was not possible due to the mess piled up on it. When my wife returned and sat down, the female of the two took the first opportunity to deliberately walk into her chair while carrying plates. You may deem that this is my interpretation, which it is. That's because you can tell when someone deliberately does something. It was pure aggression.

I have visited with my family. Had a very delious food. Great environment and I loved the lighting 😁. We were served by Manpreet and other team members. It was a great lunch that would be always remembered.

I would never go back to this place! Terrible customer service!! After inquiring about eating at the table in their back room (we had seven in our group and that was the only available table that wasn’t too high for the four year old in the group) we were told if we were going to spend a hundred pounds we could use it. We agreed as we knew we would spend more than a hundred pounds. Within seconds of our group sitting down an employee rushed over to us and announced we couldn’t eat there as they are going to use the room now for a meeting. We all felt and knew there wasn’t a meeting! Ten minutes after we left, one member of our group went back to check out the back room, THERE WASN’T A MEETING. We are a black family. I was trying to enjoy a meal with my family before boarding my flight.

Not the first time I've been here but second time, food wise was not bad in terms of taste but that's not my main issue, it's the price I get that airport prices won't be 'cheap' like your local cafe / restaurant down the road but for the price paid I would of expected bit more food than 1 little sausage - yes very little haha & 1 slice of toast that's been cut in 2 considering it was advertised as a 'full English breakfast' - anywhere else this would of been called a 'small breakfast'. Like others said it's the only 'proper' restaurant in terminal 3 the other being Pret that is a little more than a coffee shop. Don't mind paying bit more than I usually do but within reason I do mind for something that's almost half the portion. Would I return for the 3rd time ? Love to say 3rd time lucky.....who knows.....

Why?! my only thoughts. Why is this place here? The world is full of amazing cuisine and culture, but for some unknown reason, one of the world’s busiest largest airports decides is okay to accommodate a low rate pub serving cold, horrendously dressed halloumi burgers- with 2 tiny 1p sized pickles, a soggy and sad wilted piece of lettuce, a thimble sized portion of coleslaw beside yesterdays cold chips. I’m utterly lost for words and feel embarrassed that we’re hosting such an establishment in one of the worlds most famous airports. This is the only eat-in restaurant in Terminal 3, what a huge shame. I’m a frequent traveller and will never return back here.

We visited this restaurant for a quick bite before dropping off a visitor at Heathrow, and it was surprisingly good for an airport restaurant. We went for the meatballs, burgers, and some starters, and they were served with the drinks which stood at the serving table for a bit long before we received it. Overall a good experience, highly recommended for a quick bite or a meal.

We stopped in to Oceanic Pub and Kitchen for a quick breakfast before a long flight. Service from Oswin was excellent. The coffee was good. Food came out quickly and the eggs benedict with braised pork was delicious!

Had a great time. Food was great. Aurica was our server at the bar and was incredibly helpful. Would absolutely come back when I’m in Heathrow. Quick and easy.

This was a poor experience. The food took extraordinarily long time to arrive and hence this has caused delay towards our plans

It was fantastic service. From respect and quickness to helpful recommendations. I really appreciate being served by Oswin he was extremely patient and helpful. I also like that you can let your waiter /waitress know if you’re in a rush so that they can prepare your food quicker.

Although the food was very good the service was terrible. Disinterested staff, unaware of customers and little effort to pay attention. The customers on the adjacent table asked for the bill and were given another round of drinks instead. It’s a shame since the beer was very good and the staff let down the Big Smoke brand. Disappointing.

I always come to oceanic pub for a quick breakfast benedict. This time I was disappointed with the new service style. No interaction with a staff to find out about allergens or recommendations, waste of limited airport time due to lengthy order process. My good experience that I had picked up along the way was diminished with the new/rather not so great new style. But like always the one thing that is always great there is the ambience and excellent staff!

Good food, comfortable, relatively quiet while we were there. Doesn't have it's own toilets, you need to use the airport toilets just around the corner. Love the shuffle board but it would be nice if it was free or cheaper and located in a more discreet location, even though we had time to kill we didn't bother to play for these reasons.

…. Really nice and tasty double cheeseburger, but that’s where it ends. No soft drinks and no reason why! being diabetic this isn’t the most ideal, and charging £18.50 for a steak that doesn’t come with anything ie, no chips, salad or any other choice! Absolutely disgraceful.

I was served by Melden who guided me through different options and helped me to chose the best dish. I can strongly recommend this place due to the very friendly and professional staff.

We called here for a meal after a long rail journey. It was a comfortable place to hang out whilst we waited to check in for our flight. The cocktails we ordered were good and so was the food. We thought the portion size was reasonable and the prices were not too high considering we were in an airport venue. I would come here again for an airport meal. The one criticism and reason I did not award 5 stars was the service. The server was cold and robotic and definitely did not feel welcoming. We went to the bar to pay as we had been waiting for some time and were ordered back to the table!

Great menu, delicious food. A lovely place to stop before checking in for our flight. Service was efficient and Melvin was very friendly and courteous. We have been here before and will be back! Thank you!

This was honestly the longest I have ever waited for a drink and a meal! Our drinks took approx 15 minutes after the order was placed. If I hadn't ordered and paid online, I would definitely have left! My wife's meal came about 10 mins...
