Bit quiet 🤫 all I can say Just been back closed down permanently now

The place is good ! But doors were closed ! And shows open in Google listing

Two girls working Sunday night were very welcoming very polite!

My fav local bar in coventry. The service there is excellent.

We turned up with a group of 10 of us. All drunk after the England game . the door staff was happy to let 9 of 10 of us in 1 of us was told they are 2 drunk. We were all as drunk as each other. The bouncers said come back in an hour. We went back 2 hours later and was told by the door staff 1 white guy with glasses 1 asian guy the same person is still to drunk to get in but if he pays the bouncers £50 they will allow him in!!! How is this allowed if he is to drunk to get in why is it we can pay £50 to get in!! We didn’t pay it no way are we paying £50 to get in when they were happy to let 9 out of 10 of us in. They pin point who they allow in. 1 of our group came out to us 30 minutes after being In saying I’ve been kicked out as well due to something he did 4 weeks ago!! The place need to sort the bouncers out!!!

Was a nice evening, but quiet but that's due to day of the week

Why does this place have the terrible DJs in so much? Most of the time you can see them playing a Spotify playlist to give the pub a cheap club vibe. The pub used to have consistently good music with the duke box/staff. Now you've got one of the oldest pubs in Coventry playing bad club music far too loud and it appeals to nobody because who goes to the Oak for that?

Staff and the security guard Nisar are top tier, helped me and my partner when we needed them! Highly recommend visiting, great range of drinks, food and deals!!

What a change. Been here before. Was a great place for food and atmosphere. Now it’s changed hands it’s totally different. Dreadful. Small portion sizes. More cost. No atmosphere. Really disappointed. I had the Gammon , I’ve had thicker pieces of bacon. Won’t be going again!!!!! So sad

New management and venue means it's a much friendlier place than it used to be! Fun entertainment, great bar staff, friendlier door staff. Worth going back to visit if you went before and didn't like!

Awesome place with great & kind service! Always love to come down here for a drink with some friends, if the weather is nice, we always sit outside! Staff is always super helpful, accommodating & lovely, especially Jada, Bea & Magda- they’re all such sweet girls! Love to see the place being switched up, warm & welcoming. Karaoke nights are the best in Cov as well!

The new oak looks so good, the environment its amazing and the staff is so nice and welcoming. Definitely worth the visit.

We were here New Years Eve and the staff were pleasant but the place was completely empty.

Has gone very downhill recently

Except of the pub they also claim to operate a parking behind the pub which is a SCAM! They get money for pre-booking parking lots but they are never open. They use the pub's tables to block the parking entrance. Disgusting crooks!

I like the place! Nice atmosphere and open late!

Years back this used to be a decent pub but since the extended opening hours it seems to have become more and more violent. The pizzas are pretty small but can be ideal early in the morning after a few pints. Also the plastic pint containers aren't very nice but i guess that's the price you pay for having violent customers.

Very creative in how they've adapted due to covid. Drinks service is surprisingly fast! Would be five stars but the security always seem to be looking for trouble themselves rather than the other way round

The Oak Inn tends to be the place you go when no other pubs are open. Table service is very slow and they managed to get our order wrong twice. The staff I encountered were very unfriendly and failed to maintain social distancing.

If you want cracked ribs or to be punched for no reason by the bouncers this is the place to go

We had a great night at The Oak Inn! Our only complaint was the lack of music in the beer garden, it would have been a game changer.

I cannot believe this pub would be so irresponsible and open their doors at midnight the day of restrictions being eased up, note, EASED UP. It encourages people to be irresponsible, and for what? To drink alcohol amongst a group of strangers. A sure fine way to contribute to the spread of Covid. Start drinking at midnight can only mean drink into the early hours, suits people on Furlough or out of work, then sleep it off in the day. Ridiculous.

Best pub in Coventry! Opened its doors at midnight for punters. Cracking deal being offered, 2 for 1...buy a pint and get covid free! Great social distancing lads 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽

The Oak inn is one of the places you go to if you want a drink after most pubs have closed, it tries to follow social distancing rules but has a lack of authority. If you're looking for a late night brawl this would be the perfect place to go!! The table service is very slow and the outside bar is overpriced.

Good for a lste drink but bring a vest tends to get rough

A mish mash of different patterned furniture and decor suited more to young kids with Xbox and marvel stuff everywhere but it’s a nice pub with a killer juke box.

Late,late bar, young enthusiastic bar staff,reasonably priced good selection of drinks reasonable priced bar snacks accessible for wheel chair users plenty of space for manoeuvring. The pool table area is down several steps with no ramp.there is a gradual sloped floor for toilet access.large outdoor seating partially under cover.steady trade during the week gets very busy fri sat nights after 12pm

For a Wednesday in Cov this is a fun place to be. Friendly staff on the door and behind the bar made for a good night. Plenty of choice of drink (not too expensive) and a jukebox to help you fulfil your DJ dreams.

Simply Red on the jukebox. In the mirror behind the bar I catch my own face. Simply red. I am shamed. Two double whiskeys. Whatever's cheap. I wish I was home until I am home, then I wish more than anything that I wasn't.
