Their dumplings and Wonton are to die for!

Ordered Singapore Rice hoping it would be spicy like Singapore Chow Mein but it wasn't spicy at all. Portion was large, enough for two people, good value for money. Service was very fast, even though I walked in to order as a takeaway. Would go back and try other things.

Food was absolutely lovely, but I phoned up to see whether the order has already been collected, and the lady put the food down absolute rude I will not be Ordering from here ever again, absolute the service on the phone

My partner none stop was telling me about this place as he loves the food he wasnt wrong food was lovely portion sizes are hugee! Me and my daughter couldnt finish pratically waddled out we was so full 😍✨️ staff were lovely and friendly and happy to chat while we waited ❤️

Overall a really nice experience and absolutely enjoyed the food . The waiter was really patient and helpful only downside was I wish the food portions were bigger. Would definitely recommend and will back there soon

The staff took forever to take our order even though it was quiet, the food was really really bland and not worth the money, and when I used the toilet I saw tonnes of used plates stacked in the hallway with food on still. Won't be returning.

The two ordered two bowls of river noodles, spicy beef brisket noodles and beef brisket river. The spicy taste was okay, but the beef brisket was not spicy enough. The soup base was average and acceptable. It was a big enough bowl with enough ingredients, but the rice noodles were poor and thin. , the taste is obviously inferior to the quality products from supermarkets, I hope the shop owner can switch to pho from other suppliers.

Greasy, uneatable pork chow mien takeaway. Took one look and a small taste of my chow mien and threw it straight in the bin. Cheap, but disgusting. Go elsewhere!

The hospitality is very good, with free tea and fruits, and the signature fried noodles are full of flavor and very delicious. The spicy beef brisket is not bad, but it is a bit not spicy enough, and the soup also has room for improvement. The fried bananas are delicious and fried right after you order them. The staff are courteous, the food is reasonably priced and the portions are plentiful, making it a great value for money.

It was a terrible experience. The servers were so rude and the food tasted awful. I order spicy noodles and they served plain noodles and when I ask, they just said chef forgot to put spices and did nothing for compensation. I also ordered dumplings and they didn’t even serve dipping sauce and those dumplings are one of the worst dumplings I have ever tasted in my life and the glasses were so dirty too.

一家距离学生公寓超级近的中餐馆，老板很厚道，服务热心，招待有免费的茶水和水果，价格便宜量大。 个人推荐盖码饭，菜的话就我个人口味来说（中国湖南人）：小炒肉和红烧肉很不错，其他的基本上菜做得挺好吃，但是辣子鸡并不太合我口味。 粥的话用料扎实，虽然不是那种正宗的广式粥更像是汤泡饭但是出乎意料的好吃。炒面和汤面吃的不全不好评价，量大不过口味比较清淡，汤水比较多。 总的来说是一家食堂级别的中餐馆，虽然看过往评论有一些言论但是看得出他们也在改进，不过确实我们都愿意中餐价格贵一些，给员工更多休息和福利

Home-style dishes, very affordable and generous portions, complimentary fruit after the meal, and excellent service. The owner is bit shy but very kind. Will come again

Decent food with fair price and good customer service!

Quick and easy to order both from home and as a Walk-in! I like King Prawns Chow Mein and rice, sometimes I also get some spring rolls and sweet chilli sauce. I usually pay cash when I walk in but I also ordered from home and paid with my card on Deliveroo. The service could be better and more welcoming/friendly, however they are competent and efficient, so far enough 🤣 I order when I get cravings and I love it because it does not take long to be prepared! Thank you, see you again!

The chicken in batter was more tough to bite through. I have had this dish from many places and they make it different to this one. It is almost like fried chicken as you can see in picture the batter is darker. The sauce is more liquid than others. Good thing is it is good to try something different for a change.

We ordered the belly pork with preserved vegetables and we found a lot of hair/fur on the pork skin. We reflected to the owner and she tried to pursue us that it’s normal (which is not).

Terrible ! Went there last week , had pork with chilli . Very nice , lots of gravey and green peppers and a few green hot peppers . Went there today and asked for the same dish with a few more hot green peppers . What I got was pork in chilli OIL with masses of dried red chillies . I was offered a replacement but I got the same thing with the addition of hot green peppers . I tied just eating the meat but it was way too hot . So I complained again and insisted that this was a completely different dish to the week before . I was offered an alternative but minutes later I was told that the chef was refusing to make me any more food . I was offered a partial refund of £4.00 . NEVER AGAIN ! EMBARRASSING AND INSULTING . I strongly believe that I was treated in this shoddy manner because I do not fit their Chinese Student demographic . To serve the wrong dish and then bring it back to me with even more hot chilies is just obtuse . And before anyone thinks it , no , there was not a language barrier .

The worst service I have ever encountered

Literally gave me food poisoning, staff were very rude to us and slammed down every plate - when we asked for chopsticks they raised they’re eyebrows and laughed at us!

Authentic long-standing household restaurant with an amazing range of dishes on the menu. The TV on the wall has played the same music videos for almost 10 years. Being privately-run means they do not rely too much on "Central Kitchens" which wrap and deliver batches of ready-made meals in plastic bags. I have observed that many Chinese restaurant chains are supported and supplied by the Central Kitchens nowadays. This one has not yet been so. So I like it. Make it an adventure by asking for "Chinese menu" and recommendations, as they have two systems of menus, one for Western customers and one for Chinese. All Chinese restaurants do. Of course, neither menu is shortchanging the customers as the formula and taste are long used and tested to suit different preferences. But it doesn't hurt to try.

We are visited since opening everything was nice, staff, food but now a days Staff are very rudely treated.. Untrained customer service. From next time I will visit next door.

They serve good food but they need to improve their customer service.

Do not buy the deals, absolute rip off. Stingy portion size in which they overfill on rice and hold back on meat. I politely offered to pay for extra meat even though the portion was inadequate and they told me it was 1 pound per PIECE OF SHREDDED BEEF! never going here again! Better Chinese places around Coventry!

Been dining here for the last 2 years. Food has been nothing short of superb. Certainly one of the best Chinese restaurants in Coventry.

Char Siew Chow Mein 叉烧炒面- Large (£5) Verdict: OMG I was so glad to find a good Chinese restaurant in Coventry which is reasonably priced and serves XXL portions to satisfy the ravenous Aishwarrya inside me 🤤 The ah ma who served me really made my day with her efficient service and warm hospitality that made me feel at home 🥰 The Char Siew Chow Mein was value for price given the portion. 🐷 Pair it with their spicy chilli oil for a punch of flavour and spiciness!! My tastebuds came to life after trying their chilli oil bcos it’s extremely hard to get ‘spicy’ food in UK which is genuinely spicy HAHAHA 🌶 Sesame Prawn Toast 🍤 - everyone’s favourite Chinese starter was a deep fried masterpiece sizzled to golden brown perfection. It tasted more like a toasted bread with minced prawn fillet inside (do not expect the actual prawn inside it); do remember to dip it with their sweet chilli which is incredibly satisfying. This is a classic Chinese takeaway order, alongside a chow mein 🥢🥡 I also received a plate of complimentary prawn crackers which was a tasty appetiser 🦐

A good place for Chinese food. We ordered chicken and duck chowmein. Quantity was good for the price. Food was bit salty but we liked it. Will try more in future.

Amazing food with very reasonable prices

Ordered food from this restaurant today. I do not know what kind of salt and additive added to the food. It’s so bad and taste nowhere like Chineese food. PLEASE AVOID.

For me, It's the worst Chinese food I've had in UK, Their vegetable and meat seems not freshly prepared, and the way they cook are way too bad, some of the dishes they serve I think I even can do better than they do, I don't recommend you to waste your money to eat here😓

Very disappointed with some of my orders as I ordered crispy pork with noodles and it turns out to be char siu pork with noodles. Certainly there is a very clear distinction between crispy pork and char siu pork. The roast duck was not cleaned properly before roasting as I can smell and taste the distinct foul odour of a poorly cleaned duck. Very disgraceful. They don't accept credit card either.

I go here regularly because the food is great and has fast service although customer service can be a bit better. I consider it all part of its charm. :)

Service is good however there are much better choice of Chinese food in Coventry.

Had lunch here today, very nice food at affordable prices. Basic interior but clean. We will be going again. Food was a little slow to come to the table but that was due to the amount of take away meals they were producing.

The one time I was there I had the beer duck, which the lady pointed out was actually a kind of soup. While it tasted good it contained lots of larger bones, small fragments of bones and gristle, which was not very nice. Other meals looked nice and tastey and you can get them for a good price.

Visitando a mi hija en la universidad y fuimos de compras. Queríamos un almuerzo dim sum, pero no pudimos encontrar un lugar (o sabía dónde mirar) mientras que en el centro comercial. Sin haber comido nada, como fue después de las 3 pm.

Llamado cuando pasando. Entrega instantánea de taza de té de China, seguido de petición para pedir comida. Como yo nunca había estado aquí antes y menú es de seis páginas detalladas, esto fue bastante optimista. No fue bastante insulso sin embargo camarera simpática.

Been there once and ordered noodles however I was the only customer when I went, food was served within 20mins but felt like was being constant watched, Tea which was served wasn't hot it was warmish like its been reheated quickly I would go again only if there was other customers at it feels kinda strange for a restaurant

He comido muy bien. la comida antes y fue realmente bueno. La última vez, aunque me lo tomé como llevar. Esta vez, me llevé a mi familia al restaurante en su lugar para disfrutar de una buena mesa. Vaya, me hubiera gustado sabía lo que era. El servicio era peligroso. Me sentí mal por la camarera ya que su inglés no era muy buena y que no podía entender peticiones básicas (como vasos de hielo para ir con nuestras bebidas fizzy_nup calientes). Inicialmente al pedir ella sólo nos trajo una copa con 4 cubitos de hielo para 4 adultos, entonces avivada registrándose como para decir que era duro trabajo, como lo acabo de hacer ladrillos de una casa. Además, mi esposa tuvo que ir a nuestra propia silla alta para nuestro hijo, ya que ella fue muy concurrida para ayudarnos con esa solicitud. De todos modos, la comida era todavía muy bien nuevo (aunque se sirve esporádica y no todos a la vez), pero no esperes que sea como un Wagamama o nada. Si decide comer en casa, no esperes la luna.
