The North Cliff Hotel in North Devon

A very well maintained family run hotel, everyone is helpful and friendly and the food is all freshly cooked and excellent. The views from communal rooms and bedrooms are fabulous, short walk to valley of rocks and cliff railway.

We stayed for one night at the hotel with 2 children, and had a great time. The sunrise from our window was amazing! Breakfast was delicious and lots of it! Will definitely book again!

A wonderful place, so welcoming and homely. Fantastic scenery, absolutely lovely people, can't wait to go back.

I didn’t actually stay at The North Cliff Hotel, but I met the most amazing person on earth when I became worried about driving my car up a hill. I had to stop my car and walk to the North Cliff to ask for help in moving my car to a nearby hotel where I had already booked. I had a quick look at the North Cliff while I was asking for help, and it was the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen – so cosy, clean, and appeared very comfortable. I will definitely stay at The North Cliff Hotel the next time I visit this beautiful part of the world. Thank you so much for your kindness, you saved a soul. Oh, and sorry, you told me your name, but I was so scared I forgot it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Lovely stay warm welcoming clean and tidy.Walked along the coastal path returning to the hotel for a clean and warm up. All that we needed at end of day coming out of wind and rain .

The most amazing views this hotel offers. Staff were amazing . Food was delicious. Rooms were ideal. Much recommended . Visited 28/29 November. Quiet little village this time of year which suits me very well. Took a 5 minute walk to the local cinema too which is a gorgeous character building.

Lovely traditional family owned and run hotel, stunning location on the Lynton cliffs. Service impeccable and extremely friendly. Breakfast fabulous and very generous. We hope to make this a regular retreat!

Wonderful place. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Beautifully furnished room and very comfortable bed. Fabulous sea views.

Just left here had a great stay. Owner and staff are so welcoming and friendly and can't do enough to make you feel comfortable. Lovely place with living room and games, tv. Breakfast room (breakfast really nice). Parking there but very tight and on steep hill but that's just the location! Wifi. Tv in room. Amazing view of the sea. We want to return it's great and the location is just amazing. Thanks to everyone there for being so kind and welcoming we and the kids really enjoyed ourselves.

Great dog friendly hotel. Absolutely loved it. Great rooms, ours had a lovely sea view. Honesty bar with fair prices, lounge, terrace, evening meals available and a great breakfast. Will definitely return. Proper place.

A lovely hotel with lovely staff a the best breakfast for a very long time . The only negative is it is on a cliff so walking back to hotel is a very hard climb

Third time here, one of my favourite places. Quirky town and harbour with superb walks. The hotel is privately run, terrific service, great food especially the breakfast. Rooms are very comfy with terrific views.

Everything about this hotel is awesome and just what one needs on a break

Without serious planning for a family trip, we pick the North Cliff Hotel a day before arrival. Close to high street and funicular rail with speculator view. Host is friendly and helpful. A 200yrs+ building nicely preserved. What’s more to expect ? I want more time !

A period hotel oousing with history. A warm friendly welcome received when we arrived. Really helpful owners. Great views over the bay from our room. Yes it is autumn but the warm welcome was not extended physically throughout the hotel. Our room was cold on arrival and took along time to warm up. We had a meal at the hotel which was excellent but the restaurant was chilly. My partner and I are not exactly spring chickens anymore. The position of the hotel to obtain the great views proved testing. To be fair that was an oversight on our behalf. Yes, we would consider to go back during the summer.
