Fantastic Caffe and great value for money. I Recommend this place to anyone visiting Barnstaple and the cater for vegan and gluten free people. Me and my family stayed for lunch and had a great time, we sat upstairs where there was lots of room. The staff are fantastic and very helpful and friendly.

Friendly little vegetarian cafe round corner from the Post Office. Hot meals. Lentil stew with rice is a fav. Homebaked cakes. Excellent coffee. Good range of teas. Good value. And served with a smile and welcome. Always good to support local business .. rather than the chains.

Our first visit but certainly not our last. We ate Cheese Scones and drank Coffee; the scones were especially delicious. The Cafe is well laid out and Heidi the proprietor warm and welcoming and her daughter Poppy charming. Some hot food was being served while we were there and it looked and smelled divide.

Enjoyed our lunchtime visit very much. We were made very welcome in this pretty Bridport cafe. A varied menu of delicious homemade cakes and interesting lunch offerings. Vegetarian and vegan options to choose from, be it a hearty hot pot, soups or a light salad, all beautifully presented.

Visited Bridport with my family from Surrey. Popped into The Nook and received a warm welcome. All the home-made items on the menu were tempting and finally went went for the excellent root vegetable hotpot. Nice decor, friendly service. Highly recommend.

Found this café tucked round from the main Bridport streets. It is small but lovely. A splendid display of home made cake was tempting and the coffee was pronounced to be some of the best in the local area (and my husband is VERY picky when it comes to his coffee!) So pleased to have discovered it and we will certainly return.

I had just been on a hearty dog walk and needed a really good coffee as a treat! Popped into the Nook with tired dog in tow. We were warmly greeted and coffee arrived quickly. The cake display was too much to ignore and my slice of Apple Cake was moist and tasty. The lucky dog was given a treat! This is a great cafe under new management and deserves to do very well indeed.

My family and I recently visited here instead of the usual choice as it has just reopened under new management. The lady running the cafe was professional, friendly and obviously takes a lot of pride in the quality of what she sells and also the cleanliness of her premises. A real success I'm sure.

Very disappointing. When we booked the table, I mentioned that I have cealiacs and they no problem. When I turned up they said that they cannot guarantee that there is no cross contamination. What a waste of a booking. Please do not say that it is suitable for cealiacs if that is not the case.

Second visit and exceeded our already high expectations. A really friendly welcome from the team as we walked through the door. There is a wonderful vibe to this restaurant, lively yet intimate. The menu changes regularly but great local produce. Attentive but not overbearing service. Freebies which always go down well with some great bread and an appetiser of a creamy parsnip velouté which was beyond delicious particularly as I have a real dislike of that particular vegetable! A choice of five (six?) dishes for starters, mains and desserts so not overwhelming! Good wine list, by the glass or bottle. And the food. Simply outstanding. I had a crėme brûlée of crab, my partner had a goat cheddar mousse to kick off. Beef fillet and duck respectively to follow both demonstrating an attention to detail and showing off innovation and respect for the ingredients by the chef and his team. Beetroot and ginger sticky toffee pudding and passion fruit crème brûlée. It’s extremely rare that we both have three courses, fortunately the plates are not overloaded and there is such a good balance that we left pleasantly full! Outstanding value from a restaurant that takes a real pride in making their diners feel special and happy! Only downside? I can’t eat here every day.

Went for a Mexican and half price cocktails on a Wednesday evening. Mexican is cooked in a van in the car park, but served in the bar/conservatory - excellent food (real cutlery but takeaway boxes). Stayed for one night: very comfortable beds and well appointed room (room 8). Excellent breakfast including buffet with cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit and berries, croissant. Also a good selection of al a carte cooked breakfast options. Bar staff in the evening and at breakfast were super friendly, efficient and helpful.

Another most delicious meal - lunch this time - the gigot with wild mushrooms and pommes dauphinoises was perfect. And easy parking just outside.
