Absolutely terrible food. Re heated crispy duck, very dry and came with no lettuce. The pancakes for the duck were dry and broke when you tried to roll them. The salt and pepper wings basically dipped in curry sauce and deep fried. There wasn’t any salt, pepper, garlic or chilli present anywhere. The worst meal I have ever had, we ended up throwing it away and cooking ourselves. Avoid, save your money and find somewhere better.

Looking for a decent take away on our trip to Newark, we came across this great place… friendly, efficient, good value and big portions, the set meal for two fed three of us with plenty over!! Right in the centre of town so convenient.. Definitely worth a visit, we went twice it was so good!!!

Not sure what has happened to this place, we have used it for years but the last two occasions have been absolutely awful, and I mean awful. We will have to look for another Chinese/Cantonese takeaway now!

Don’t order if you want nice food, go to Mc Donald’s instead because it tastes like they have kids slave labouring over hot stoves, The chips taste like micro chips and the sweet n sour sauce tastes like dog sh…… Coustomer service blames just eat…… typical crappy Chinese’s

Having attended the recent Antique Fair in Newark,myself and a friend were staying overnight at a local Travelodge and were looking forward to a nice Chinese takeaway. My friend ordered a 38a and 69 and I ordered a 6,37a and 56. Words cannot describe our disgust in the presentation of your meals which appeared to be re-heated and not prepared freshly-the vegetables were undercooked and hard and the chicken balls were almost solid and" chewy". Overall this food was inedible and as we had taken the food back to the Travelodge to eat,we had no option but to pick out things we could just about manage to eat-had your establishment been a sit down restaurant,we would have demanded both meals to be freshly prepared and an adjustment made on the bill. As it was,on complaining on the phone this was received with complete apathy without any apology whatsoever or an offer of a refund if we came back to your takeaway. Having now read the dreadful Tripadvisor reviews,we are not surprised that your establishment has taken no steps to redeem your reputation.

Ordered food from here on new years eve at 6.30pm. It didn't turn up. The phone was taken off the hook so couldn't get through to even check the status of the order. Terrible service. Not sure what the food is like as it didn't turn up. Not sure if the restaurant even reads these reviews but if so shame on you. I can see from just eat reviews and the previous review hee that mine wasnt the only NYE that was ruined by your shoddy service

Do not ever go to this place , in 25 years of eating Chinese food I've never eaten absolute discussting food , tbh it wasn't even edible , rang up but no joy , DO NOT BUY PLEASE

ordered at 6.15 arrived at 6.50 piping hot and very tasty -- enough left for another meal each will certainly use this place again and tell my friends about it

The reviews on here that are poor are all about delivery. We actually went to the takeaway and low and behold we both had great meals. And it is the meal that is important after all. Lots of food in good containers, cooked well and came in good time. And I would go back.

Order arrived 40mins late. No apology. One dish was missing. Portion of chips cold and soggy. Called the restaurant to complain but the ladys response was ‘what do you want me to do about it’ we asked for a refund for the chips and the dish that we were missing but she said this wouldn’t be possible as we paid through just-eat. There was still no apology. Offered us a 10%discount off next order, or said she could have the missing dish sent out. When I argued that the rest of my food would be cold by then she told us to put everything back in the bag and they would send their driver with a whole new order and take away the old one. Which took a further half hour. Very disappointing and shocking customer service. Will not be using this takeaway again. Have only scored 2 out of 5 rather than 1 due to the fact that the food was very nice when it finally arrived correct

Don't bother ordering if you want your food quickly, both times I have ordered the food has been over an hour from the advised time, will never eat here again.

I have used this takeaway for around 12 years, but since the take over 18 months ago the food has slowly gone down in quality, Last night it reached the worst food I have had! Chicken curry made with formed chicken that was soggy you could squeeze the water out of it, it was white so not even cooked in curry, it went straight in the bin, the new owners are obviously trying to cut costs to save money, it was disgusting, don't waste your money go somewhere else, I shall not be using again, to top it off when I complained they offered me a free chicken curry! no thanks

We have used this takeaway for years and it was always so good. It got new owners about 18 months ago and to begin with they carried on as before. Sadly it's gone downhill little by little, Saturday night will be my last though. Curry tasted like it was out of a can, chips had been stood ages, rice microwaved to death till it shrunk, sweet&sour tasted rotten, like others said the prawn crackers are so thick and waxy. Will be using the King Wah from now on even though it means collecting myself

We had a great takeaway meal. Food was piping hot, plenty of it and very flavoured and tasty. Delivery was on time and the delivery man was polite and friendly . Varied menu to choose from. Good quality.

Thought I would give this one a try, and it did not come up to standard. Ordered King Prawn curry, fried rice and Prawn Crackers. First thing that was wrong was the 50p charge to use a debit card, this is unnecessary and a rip off. And then we move onto the food, the rice was ok. The curry was watery and had no real flavour. The prawns crackers should be renamed as they were rubbery and way overpriced for the size of bag. All in all very poor so will not be going back.

Tuvimos una comida para llevar, fabuloso enviadas a nuestra puerta que estaba muy sabroso y había un montón de cosas. Pedimos una para 1 y patatas fritas, era más que suficiente para 2 de nosotros, y también nos mandaron una bolsa de galletas saladas de gambas y el precio total sólo £10,70 ...

Always use this little gem for takeaway Chinese,easily the best value and quality in Newark plus they will deliver. Next time only a Chinese will do give it a try!!
