The New Lancaster in Scarborough

Great place, great view, great service.

Went here out of season. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. Had a breakfast sandwich, freshly made and a child's breakfast. Reasonably priced.

We always visit the Lancaster for an evening whenever we're in Scarborough.

Friendly landlady made us and our dog very welcome

Didn't stay there, but had a drink. Love the place. It's very relaxed which I love. Different types of tables and chairs. Very modern, but oldy worldy too.

Very friendly atmosphere. As a non local and on holiday it was very welcoming, staff lovely and chatting to people who lived in the area was lovely, including all the fabulous dogs I met along the way.. Look forward to seeing Scarborough again...

Nice pint, friendly atmosphere and right on the beach with amazing views what more can you ask for. Staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely go back.

Stopped off for a rest as it was a nice day, got our beer, and sat outside for a while. Moved in for the next beer with the guitar guy playing some decent tunes and watched some strange 40 and 50th birthday groups wander around the town. Staff were friendly and service good.

A good traditional pub on the sea front at Scarborough's South Bay. Good choice of drinks and excellent service

Went here last weekend.singer was good evrn wen he was at irish bar last year. Bar staff brilliant.all good here

Sound place, but I was out with the family and was driving so opted for a 0.0% Heineken got two bottles and it s £9.0. Proper annoyed me.

We usually pay this place a visit when in Scarborough. Really nice atmosphere with friendly staff and knowledgeable about the drinks on offer. One man was really testing the member of staff about the different wines on offer before his wife came in. Dog friendly as well which is a big plus for us.

Service was spot on always polite,, glasses taken away when empty rather than left at tables,, everything cleaned on regular basis. All said nice pub.

the staff here was very polite and friendly we when as a family to get some food on our day visit the only thing I didn't understand is why on a kids breakfast you have to choose between having bacon or sausage on it its should come with both maybe just I piece of bacon and 1 sausage let them choose think it could work better that way bit other then this we had a great experience and would definitely go back.

This place all but no vegi option, no vegan hotdog (which I didn't want anyway) no breaded mushrooms no coleslaw. So I ordered pizza fries (which I didn't want only next option) they then forgot to put it on the order so I had no food when everybody got there's. Not the cleanest and or the friendliest so basically only go if you want refreshments. Or just don't go my advice.

Nice bar but the breakfast was awful had to ask for our money back it was that bad Cheap Sausage that I wouldn't feed my dog about 10 beans in total a sorry looking egg the only plus was the bacon wasn't too bad I won't be back

The bar man was great he had a good sense of humour. Prices are good, and the location by the beach/ harbour is perfect !

Went in here for breakfast, reason we picked it was because it was dog friendly. Ordered 2 full English breakfasts and couple of drinks. Horrible cheap snide sausages, not good quality, gave them to the dog. Bacon was nice & thick but a bit fatty. 2 hash brown's which I dont eat, so cant comment, two sad looking mushrooms, didnt eat those either. A fried egg, beans and half a tomato. One slice of toast. If they upgraded the sausages, used some better quality bread, got rid of the hash browns, would be a good breakfast. Drinks were good, good service, nice ambience, polite staff etc. Sorry, but as it is couldnt recommend the breakfast.

Saturday afternoon, busy, slow service. Food and drink ok. Free motorbike parking across the road. Plenty of seats inside and more outside.

Lively and fun Saturday afternoon drink to see the fab. Devan Kellett performing. Distracted bar staff needed the order repeated several times. Busy but chilled vibe.

The staff were very polite and friendly, the pub was very clean and tidy. Every time I have a day out at Scarborough, I go into the Lancaster pub, would recommend to anyone.

We always head here when we stay in Scarborough. We call it 'our local'. Nice atmosphere and outdoor seating near the sea front.

Near the harbour at scarborough, called in for a drink and a sandwich at lunch and really enjoyed the good weather as well

Really surprised at how reasonably priced the drinks were, also first pint of Guinness I've had in scarborough that was properly poured. Very good!

Lovely pub, can't believe we've only just been in on our most recent visit to Scarborough. Really welcoming and dog friendly. Happy to give us a bowl of water for the boys. Will definitely be back.

We visited this public house a couple of weeks ago,very friendly.Dogs are allowed,the menu is simple,but the platters look interesting,for two to share.Toilets are nice and kept very clean.The drinks selection is good,and so well worth a visit to rest your weary legs.A very well done to the staff,we'll be back.

Had a lovely meal value you for money and dog just a shame about the staff member constantly vaping in the bar whilst trying to have our meal suggest he takes it out side look all smokers not a good Shame

Beers very good, cheese/meat board very good and excellent value.

Good selection of beers, food was pretty good, went in three times during our stay which speaks volumes. In a great location on the front , staff very friendly, and a nice atmosphere, dog friendly as seems almost everywhere in Scarborough. Live music during week . Well worth a try.
