The New Inn in Newport

Sadly the place is looking tired and needs redecorating bringing up to scratch for 2025. Food was slow coming out, long wait for it. But was v nice when we had it. Staff seemed to be run off their feet for the amount of customers in tonight. We were seated at a filthy table, and had to request it be cleaned.

Went here today for a new year mean with my family. Service was absolutely terrible, only table there and yet no one come over to ask about meals, bare in mind I had 2 hairs, steak not cooked how we asked and the sausages didn't even look like they had been cooked. This was mix grill. My daughter had make your own wraps and looked terrible like the left overs. 3 members off staff in and out the play part. One member iff staff didn't even crank a smile. Been coming here for years and this has made us not want to come back!!

13 of us ate at The New Inn on Christmas Day 2024 and we all had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect and we couldn't fault one single thing! All of the food was delicious, each course was served at a great time, and all of the staff were brilliant! The staff who served us were Emily, Louise, and Josh. They were friendly, caring, and they couldn't do enough for us. We've ate out at many places on Christmas Day and this was definitely one of our favourites! We would highly recommend.

Went with a family party of 8 today . Food & staff were great , nothing too much trouble & the atmosphere was relaxing. The assistant manager went out of her way to encourage my 5yr old granddaughter into the play area & down the slide . Will definitely visit again . Thank you all

We visited for the breakfast with Santa. Was set up very efficiently and had a nice Christmas theme breakfast menu. Santa came around to talk to all the tables before taking his seat in a nicely decorated area. During the meal there was some entertainment with the grinch. After food every child went up to Santa where they got given a gift. The horse toy given has already become a firm favourite of my little boy. The staff were also very helpful when our horse got misplaced. After food we went into the softplay where we had a coffee whilst my little boy burnt off some of his energy. Would recommend

We stopped at the new inn on the way home from visiting family. The food and drinks were good and the service was excellent.

Great meal and service at a very busy time of year. Food was hot and tasted lovely. Staff were professional and polite - will defo be back!

Over all really good, my meal was tasty. Totally recommend the cornflakes chicken dippers, had to wait a bit to put in order at bar, but it was a little busy so understandable

Clean,tidy and great value for money. A real family venue with friendly service who can't do enough for you. Food was very good and the breakfast was great. Highly recommended.

Had the Lamb Keema stack! It was without question one of the most utterly delicious meals i have ever eaten! Highly recommended. The presentation was absolutely out of this world. Watch out Heston! Has this place had a Michelin star yet? Wow!

All the staff especially Lisa, Louise and Emily were fantastic, with a big family of 25 dining it was effortless the food was fantastic and nothing was too much of an ask deffinatly coming back.

We’ve been a few times recently and every meal has been hot, fresh and tasty! All staff are friendly and accommodating…. 100% recommend!

Wont go back there. Wait food for 55mins. One sandwich was ok another was burned. Fish fingers for kid was burned aswell. Staff is friendly but super slow. Its ok if you just wanna go there get few drinks, but dont go eat there. Is not worth wait 55min.to get burned sandwich
