Myself and my partner booked a night here on a whim, I’ve lived nearby this hotel my whole life but never actually stayed before. The car park was relatively small unfortunately, however I believe overflow parking nearby can also be used for the hotel; it is free for hotel guests however, which was a pleasant surprise! Checking in was quick and easy, all of the staff we met during our short stay were nice and polite. I would describe the room itself as very basic, but also very clean. This particular Premier Inn clearly hasn’t had an interior update for quite some time, unlike others I’ve stayed in over the last couple of years. However, like I said it was nice and clean, which is far more important in my opinion, especially since it was only an overnight stay. Unfortunately I’m unable to comment on breakfast etc as we had to leave quickly the next morning, however, checking out was as quick and simple as dropping our keycard into a box by the door, and the checkout time was generous, 12pm! I would definitely recommend this hotel for folks needing a quick and easy overnight stay, it also has a very convenient location being situated right next to the coldra roundabout off the M4 motorway. I would definitely stay again!

I cannot praise the management and staff (Roshone, Melissa and Sabrina in the Premier Inn. Also Jamie and the team at the Beefeater) enough for their professionalism, empathy, kindness and compassion. My stay here was not planned as my car started failing on the M4, but I managed to coast it into the car park from which I called out the RAC. As this was going to take a long time I opted to dine in the Beefeater with my 12 y/o son which was a lovely experience. Having spoken to Jamie and explained the situation he promptly took my car reg number and assured me that my car can stay in the car park until it was fixed or towed. As closing time approached Jamie took it upon himself to speak to the night manager of the premier inn (Roshone) who agreed to let us wait in the hotel reception until the RAC arrived, Roshone also provided a pillow for son so he could try and get some sleep in the chair. Long story short the RAC were messing me about, so I booked a room for the night, which is just as well as when they did finally attend my car (02.30) they explained they could not fix it or tow it until the morning (08.00). Having slept in the clean and comfortable room (Sabrina) and after a hot shower my son and I were again let down by the RAC as they didn’t show for the tow. Having spoken to the duty manager (Melissa) she was happy for me to leave my keys with her for the RAC to collect at some point that day so that my son and I could continue our journey to Hay on Wye. All in all the kindness and understanding of all the staff at this hotel and restaurant was second to none and they have restored my faith in humanity and that excellent hospitality and customer service is still alive and well in the UK!! Thank you all again, Dan.

I had the pleasure of staying at Newport premier Inn, and I cannot praise Jess (the manager), Tara, and Melissa enough. Their exceptional professionalism and warm, polite demeanor truly made my stay unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, Jess went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction set the tone for a fantastic experience. Tara and Melissa were equally amazing. They were always friendly, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile to assist with any requests. Their dedication and genuine care for guests made me feel valued and at home. Thanks to Jess, Tara, and Melissa, my stay was not just good—it was brilliant. Their efforts made all the difference, and I would highly recommend premier inn to anyone seeking an outstanding experience.

Rooms are dated and looking tired. The one we stayed in was cold and damp smelling. Have stayed here many times over the years because of close proximity to M4 and Newport but in need of updating.

Fined by this parasite company’s partner parking company, there is absolutely no signage. The land isn’t even on the same side of the road that I was fined for. Will be coming down for a chat 🤙

The mid hotel. It was stuffy and blasting hot during the summer but the service made it good

Good as you would expect from a Premier Inn. Great value for money and a great location for access to the Celtic Manor.

There is no aircon so the only way to cool the room was open the window but then you get the traffic noise from the motorway. Otherwise everything was as expected.

Room stank of damp, lovely staff member who was lone working said it was due to that part of the building beingbolder.. bless her. My home is over 250 years old cold and damp happens....owners, shareholders, those making a profit from premier inn either cure the damp issues or keep heating on low. I'm paying to get a night's sleep ..not be kept awake by foul smells and cold rooms. This is no way down to the in house staff purely down to the greed of up above, who are so disgustingly selfish and interested in their own bank accounts they won't even give a second thought to y feedback

I stayed here last night and this morning there was no hot water, even an hour after they said it would work it was still cold. They gave me a URL to put in my complaint to guest services, that form does not work. Very poor experience.

Not the best first impression as car park full of McDonald’s rubbish, which was still there the next morning. Reception helpful and friendly, we needed an iron and board which they provided. Handy to have the Beefeater over the road so we dined there. Some signs of wear in the bathroom and bedroom, though bed was comfy and bigger than expected. Would be nice to have a dairy free milk option in the rooms. Bathroom small for a family room and the door lock didn’t work. Nice big tv and room was warm

"Steven doesn't work here" - written by Steven himself. So bad at pretending it's just as cringe as his hospitality skills.

Nice food at great prices but service can be quite slow, had to remove a star arrived there today at 6.50pm kitchen closed ? States online open until 8 pm ,seems to be getting worse every week now one staff member to serve two separate bars and food and kitchen closes at will no notice , removed another star today I purchased a chip shop platter £13.70 for me and a chicken platter for my son £11.70 so with a drink each £32 , my fish was paper thin with loads of batter and cost £5 more for a small fish cake 3 scampi and tiny amount of curry and even though states bread and butter I received none , never again both of us ate again after meal if you want value for money stick to the 2 meals for £13.50 Monday to Thursday as more expensive meals are just not worth it and often missing items listed on menu no reason given. Sorry I believe in honesty turned up today Sunday for dinner with son empty tables everywhere but it was only for bookings for mother's Day? , online says kitchen open 12 till 4 no mention of being turned away hungry if you haven't booked? , I had Sunday dinner there last week no mention of have to book for next week? Are we supposed to be mind-readers to eat at the gaer inn I have to admit I'm psd had to go eat at subway , it makes no sense to turn away regular paying customers in this day and age , next year they be saying they can't afford to stay open 🤔 hello your turning regular paying customers away with loads of empty tables, just makes no sense
