Got a take away from here as was staying near by. Food was great, good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Only down side was that there were peas in the curries that we wouldn't have had if we knew this. Would eat from here again though.

Food was amazing and served to the highest of qualities. Definitely recommend, quick friendly service and all staff try their best to make sure each customers experience is perfect! Good work!

Just ordered a meal to save weekend cooking! It will be the last! Had to call to ask where my delivery was... Given that I live in the central area.... I could have (woked)..... To collect the awful food, back heat chips the smallest portion of rice known to man...... Never again! Gawd awful!

This is a stand out take away, fast service for ordering and has a huge variety of options per category. The sauces for chips and starters are full of flavour! Love this independent take away who have been serving the local community for decades. I can tell it’s popular due to the stream of customers and endless phone ringing when I’m in the shop making my order. That’s a good sign. Keep cooking fab meals NHV! No idea why people have negative comments, they’re clearly non appreciative of proper, real food. Take away food ofc contains oil, my experiences with my food orders have been perfect! Yum x100!!

Everything was swimming in grease, it was tasteless.. even the chips were rubbish. I’m sorry but we won’t be back.

Friends here from down South so had a carry out meal. Fabulous food and excellent service. Gave really good advice on the best dishes to select given each individual's taste. Speedy delivery and excellent value. Highly recommended.

I use this on a semi-regular and every time I have ever had a meal from this Carry-Out the meal has always been first-class tasty and well served, I would recommend that you give it a try and I am sure that you will go back, The guy that runs the place Raymond makes sure that everything is up to a high standard

Chinese delivery for 7 of us, ages between 34 to 90 and we all enjoyed it! The lemon chicken, chicken chow mein and crispy chilli beef were so yummy! Would definitely recommend!

This chinese carryout is very good. The food is always hot when you get it and the staff are friendly under the watchful eye of Raymond. I have in all the years I have used them only complained once and the next order I received was free. We havr used many of the carryout places but we always end up back at the New Harbour Views.

Called in on the way home. Haven't been for years but wasn't disappointed. Food was flavourful and freshly cooked. Will return a bit sooner next time!

My husband and I were staying just down the road from this venue so decided to try it one evening. We had a tasters plate which was more than enough for two people and included spring rolls, prawn toast, and spicy chicken skewers. Very good quality for 8 pounds for two of us which is hard to beat for dinner! It is purely takeaway with no seating but they do deliver so if you are in the neighborhood and like Asian I would highly recommend.

The best chicken fried rice in the town I wouldn’t go any where else for our takeaway Everything is lovely Ham fried rice curry sauce totally amazing It’s the best

I don't often review carry out places but The New Harbour View deserves a great write up. Consistently great, fresh and hot food, very clean and well decorated and friendly staff. Try it!

Can't say i eat here all the time but when i do fancy a Chinese i always go here, Raymond's a nice guy that knows his menu inside out, Reviews are good for people that can't make up their own minds, i'd suggest you give it a try & make up your own mind, getting a delivery can be hard as sometimes it gets so busy they have two or more cars delivering, but pop into the shop & you'll be eating in 10/15 minuets

Been eating out this place since I left school I am now in my fourtys and food and service has always been 110% never disappointed

Descubierto este llevar por casualidad y me alegro tanto de haberlo hecho. Buena comida, raciones, y a precios razonables. Llamé y pedí un par de horas antes de que queríamos comer y comida por un pequeño cargo fue entregado a tiempo y bien caliente. Servicio amable también. Sin duda volveremos.

This is where I always go, had the chicken balls many times with sweet and sour sauce and they are always good as is the sweet and sour Cantonese style, I like the chicken fried rice also the mini spring rolls are a great starter....

This small jewel is tucked just out of the way on South Harbour street. The food was very good, the service exceptional. When in Ayr we will certainly return.

My partner and I thought we would try the "New Harbour Takeaway" on the 12th of October 2016. I ordered Chicken balls in batter,two portions of rice,curry sauce and two portions of chips. We both live five minutes away from the takeaway,and it was convenient. This has to be the WORST food i have ever eaten anywhere.!! I looked at it when i got home,and the Chicken balls were oozing oil. The Chips were rock solid hard and my dog would not eat them......(I asked him). The rice was full of fat and totally disgusting. I was furious and took all of the garbage back to the shop. I explained the food,and the owner said ..Oh sorry it was a bad run of chips.!! I said what about the rest of the gross food. His response was "You wanna refund mate". I was disgusted got my money back and left. The lady that started her order looked at my food and said to the guy..."No way i am off." This has to be the worst restaurant ever,and i am not joking. I would strongly recommend anyone buying from here avoids this place......truly disgusting.

Got a big order during the week just before Christmas, was very busy however order was all correct. Food was delicious and great service received by counter staff and Raymond the owner always there to make sure everything is in order. Definitely go back

For years, I'd always used this place as my local go-to takeaway. The food was usually great, and a relatively quick service. But the last straw was drawn recently when I ordered something on the phone and the wrong order was delivered. This was the seventh time IN A ROW that they'd got my order wrong and it would have to be sent back, or I would have to take it back myself. Only once did I get an apology when I decided to call to tell them I wouldn't be back. And the bloke had the audacity to tell me he would give me free delivery next time I ordered. I wont be using this place again.

We came across this gem of a Take Away by chance. Situated along Ayr's harbour, hidden away on the corner of an one way system. The exterior looks deceptive, but as you walk in the interior is clean and welcoming.Polite and helpful staff. The meals can be tailored according to taste, which in mine was extra chilli and my husband's no onions! We ordered the Crispy Aromatic duck for starters, BBQ ribs dry, Shredded crispy chicken in Peking sauce, Singapore noodles, Satay chicken and egg fried rice. For the children they had the sweet and sour chicken balls in batter with plain noodles.The meals were delicious and tantalising! Excellent value and huge portions. All freshly prepared as you can watch the chefs from the window.Would highly recommend and definitely order from here again! Keep up the good quality New Harbour Views

This used to be a good take away but in recent years this has gone down hill, the exterior is grubby and in need of decoration when you walk passed from Fort Street you can look in to the somewhat dirty looking kitchens. The menu is poor and the display in the window of it is also very dated. I do not rate this as a place to buy food.

I've not tried all of the Chinese takeaway restaurants in Ayr, however this has to be up there with the worst. The food is made with the cheapest of cheapest ingredients and it totally bland.

I have been ordering from here for years, this establishment has been open for 30 years+ which is testament to its success and commitment to producing superb food to the local community of Ayr! I love the homemade curry sauce and great variety of dishes are always appealing. The prawn noodles are delicious - salivating upon writing this review.The New Harbour Views stands out as superior to other local, 'newbie' take away shops in the area which are lacklustre with churning out greasy food in comparison.The owner is always cheerful, provides excellent service - is very personable and listens to my order in detail. Me and my family love the Chinese food here, the premise is clean, modern and tidy which is so refreshing to other 'old style' places.You have to try the meals here for yourself. A+++ all the way - keep up the good work chefs!

Waited over an hour for our delivery. We live 10 minutes Away. And when it arrived it was cold. Also tasted like it had been cooked in salt. Most of it went in bin. Special fried rice had chicken and pork only and special for yung was mostly veg. Will always remember this takeaway as awful and must be avoided!

Always a good meal and exceptional value for money if ever in ayr pop in and you will not be disappointed the chicken curry best in scotland
