The Nest in Treehouse in City of London, Westminster

This place is absolutely overrated. They market this on Sundays as also a doggie brunch for your furry friends called Drinks on the Woof. So of course we thought we’d take our pets, Katerina & Sir Brooking to indulge in this. The mezze platter was a big dissapointment & truffle fries for my partner were served cold. We had sent back and instead of making fresh they literally reheated it in microwave it. When we arrived as we had prebooked the female hostess was dismissive and unprofessional. She was like you dont have booking then found. We wanted to sit outside on this sunny afternoon. She was at first not allowing then did although there were plenty of spots and we had booking. This place not very much for plant based options nor great présentation with these dishes. Yes you get views of the city but better places to go for this in my opinion. Brooking and Katerina did enjoy their Doggie Tartare which they split as we requested. I do wanna mention Dan our waiter who did go out of his way to fix things. They forgot to split Tartare and he saw to it immediately being corrected. He also suggested better views to take in the city. He was the most pleasent part of this experience. Ask for him if your inclined for best service. I however wouldn’t recommend this place as they need to make menu better, have better value, & smoother service experience to be worth your while.

Great spot for a rooftop drink in central London with great views

This was our second visit within a couple of months and again we had the best time. The atmosphere is fantastic, cocktails were gorgeous, decor beautiful & views stunning! Most importantly the service was excellent, staff were attentive, kind & efficient. In particular, our lovely waitress Melissa who took such good care of us both times that we visited. She was so welcoming, extremely considerate & did all she could to ensure we had an amazing evenings. We’re really looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing place field with everything you need to feel special, rooftop view, decor, food. Music and atmosphere wouldn't let you go. Definitely coming again.

They forgot our order and left us waiting outside for half an hour. Wait staff could improve, otherwise the vibe is good.

Terrible experience, we waited half an hour for our first drinks after telling 3 different waiters we were waiting on the drinks, we then ordered food which then took another half an hour to come in which the full order was not given to us waiting another 15 mins for the rest to be given to us. A large party at the venue refused to let us past to get to our seats after being at the bar to order drinks leaving us to feel uncomfortable in the venue and being very upset after experiencing this verbal abuse !! Do not recommend as we were still made to spend the minimum £30 max order limit each. Highly would not recommend this venue due to the lack of service and customer care.

Lovely little rooftop terrace that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford street. Definitely recommend it if you want to relax and enjoy the skyline of London.

Friendly staff and the food was delicious. Views of London all around us made the whole experience really nice.

Great place... good drinks and fantastic food but the inside tables have a DJ and the music is easy too loud at 5pm to talk.

Cute and quirky rooftop bar, where you are paying for the amazing views of the London skyline. Lovely to be outside on a sunny day. The service is very slow, so try and flag a member of the staff down whenever you see them!

Service shockingly bad. My husband had to go uo to the bar and ask if it was even waitress service as nobody bothered coming to take our order. Food was just ok and cocktail drinks very small. We brought our daughter here in the afternoon for her 18th and we left after one drink to find a better experience elsewhere. Maybe if the waitress spent less time preening herself in the reflection of the door and more time focussed on customers, we might have felt like we were appreciated for our custom.

Great cocktails and venue. I was here on Tuesday in February, but it was still lovely to sit outside and the view was amazing, staff was attentive, friendly and charming. Great choice for meeting a friend or loved ones for a chat on a weekday after work as it was not very busy and possible to have a nice conversation. Thank you for making a difficult evening pleasant!

Beautiful place and experience! When our booked time came to an end they went above and beyond to find us another table even though it was very busy. We will definitely come back and recommend The Nest to our friends. Thank you!

Fantastic views of London! Atmosphere and Service were both great! Cocktails were a little disappointing as we had espresso martinis and they were not up to scratch. However I would return and have wine instead with a gorgeous view and outdoor seating.

We enjoyed as a party of 7 a few drinks and the delicious food (Tapas). The location is amazing, we loved the view and of course the outstanding service. Our waitress was extremely observant and I can highly recommend The Nest for sipping delicious cocktails. We come back, definitely!

Second time visiting The Nest and again I cannot fault it. Welcomed by a lady whose name I forgot to ask for at the front desk and she was lovely. All staff were great and super accommodating whilst also allowing you room to enjoy your experience. I’ve been to a few rooftop bars in London & the Nest is definitely in my top 5. Great views, cosy interior and exterior seating and great staff! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Work booked a table here but there was no food like the party next to us but thats not The Nest's fault, food looked immense. Only thing I did not like was the toilets literally being top of stairs... like... literally the top step, seeing drunk people attempt that towards end of night I am surprised no one actually fell down. Nice short walk to Liverpool Street Station

The atmosphere is great for a rooftop restaurant, and the views are great. Sadly our experience was ruined by the attitude of the black haired waiter with piercings. Will not be returning.

Breakfast included in our stay @Thetreehouse. It was a really nice experience to start our morning here - food and drinks was so good and the feeling lasted for hours - started off our day with such a nice atmosphere, super friendly staff and the food is proper english traditional but very contemporary and modern, really nutritious and wow donthe know how to poach eggs! 🥚 🍳 🍄‍🟫

Joined a friend here for a pre-dinner cocktail. Nice space with tons of plants. There's a small patio; we sat there and enjoyed the views of London. Small specialty cocktail list with appealing options. Our cocktails were beautifully presented--really visually stunning--and quite tasty. Service was polite but unremarkable. I wouldn't go dashing back if in London, but it was suitable for a cocktail with a friend and an enjoyable start to the evening.

Immediately put off after my hummus was garnished with a strand of hair :’) The waiter was considerate and apologetic but I guess was my unlucky day. The place is beautiful, decor is earthy making you feel one with nature. It’s a great date spot and the rooftop ambiance is a bonus. Ultimately it’s about the food which was a let down.

Rose is such an amazing host ive never experienced a host so friendly before. She made our stay absolute amazing pls thank her for me.

The staff were so lovely and attentive. They were brilliant with our two small dogs - one a puppy who had their own meals - albeit a little on the expensive side! The view were lovely, the interior design was beautiful. Will definitely be back

Amazing!!! Came here for birthday meal and was treated so well. Drinks were quick and service was great. Got some light snacks as well would 100% recommend and would go a second time.

The mini appetizer was overpriced and served in a very small portion. I could go to a more upscale place and pay less. Although the staff were friendly and offered a refund, which I declined, I won’t be returning.

Fantastic evening at the Nest. One of the best view in London! Service was top notch all night-long. Loved the truffle fries and the calamari.

Great space with loads of potential, but sat down for 20 minutes and no offer of a drink. Other tables got up and left. Pretty hopeless service for the prices charged.

Booked twice only to be cancelled twice for other events I’m guessing. Why would you book a table? You have no trust they will honor it! It’s a beautiful restaurant , shame about the management.

A beautiful bar. The cocktails are of very good quality and fit the cool overall concept. The employees are friendly, very attentive and competent. One point that many people bring up is that the service fee is included. Here you could give a hint in the cocktail menus.

Nice view of London and delicious wine!

The service at this place was absolutely shocking- the waiters would not check on you even though the full order was not placed and with air con blasting their only answer to a cold venue in winter , indoors, would be bringing you a blanket as opposed to perhaps ensuring the temperature is appropriate. And of course, despite expressing dissatisfaction, they would still add service charges to the bill.

It's one of the best rooftop bars in London at weeknds they have good DJ bands. Food ia greet. Cool vibs. Nice views to London downtown. Just one bad thing they didn't fix it for 1 year ( rude receptionists) at the entrance of the hotel, and the place entrance.

Great cocktails, friendly staff and fabulous views. I’ve been twice, the first time I had a fab brunch in the Madera restaurant below and then moved upstairs for a cocktail. Will definitely keep coming back as it’s a real gem!

From the bar tender Even though the person was so much bad in his attitude and not caring about others or management as his personal opinion say. @ I don’t care” say whatever I don’t care 🤷🏽 “As this place was highly recommended to visit. And I did went there with a big smile. But was attacked from him with a very bad attitude that were not welcome and won’t serve me and my friends. I thought he was joking but unfortunately he was not just reflecting his anger on us🤷🏽” Now I will till my friends whom did recommend me this place. What happened with me. If and only if this person not there I will think to visit again. Below response from the management is well received and appreciated.

The Nest is very beautifully decorated and the rooftop views are even more spectacular. One can see the major landmarks of London and also get a really good glimpse of the architecture of the city. The telescope in the corner of the patio was a nice touch. The food was good, truffle chips came out super fresh and crispy, the calamari was one of the best I've ever had, and the cocktails were delicious. Highly recommend checking it out!

Interesting menu, drinks, but they need more staff. We would have wanted to order much more but the service was so slow on a Thursday night. They could have earned so much more if they were faster. Menu was promising but food just ok. Small portions. Great view though! Music was confusing mix of house and rnb but good vibes

Had an amazing time at Nest. Came with a couple of friends for lunch and drinks during a trip to London. Views were amazing, and both indoor and terrace sitting areas were super relaxing. The overall vibe of the venue is so incredibly chilled and service was friendly and very attentive, we didn’t want to leave! Wine and cocktails were lovely and food was delicious. Portions were very large through so had we know that small plates weren’t small at all, we wouldn’t have ordered two lots of some of them. We left full to the brim and so relaxed we will definitely visit again.

I went for my 50th birthday for afternoon drinks with a small group of friends and family. I had an amazing time. We were given the choice to sit inside as the weather was a bit cold. The decor was gorgeous and the atmosphere lovely and relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely re-book.

My friend had brought me here for the first time yesterday we didn’t have a reservation but staff were very accommodating, we were served by a young lady named Bobbie, she was brilliant she took the time to speak to us and nothing we asked of her was to much. she recommended us the matchy matcha and Brazilian lemonade which were both delicious. We will be back very soon and will be recommending this place to our friends.

A fantastic venue for a quick drink before heading somewhere less expensive, Totally worth it to get lost in the views across London for an hour. But - Please don’t order your dinner here. The food is overpriced and really not very good. In fact it’s like food made by a small child, someone who has never eaten food before or something from a fever dream - weirdly tiny portions of bizarre concoctions of things that don’t belong together - I had a salmon thing with white bits in it - possibly potato, possibly egg, I wasn’t sure, garnished with burnt capers. Like wtf? My wife had this strange kind of mushroom sausage, with a mound of flavourless pesto. All very strange. They did also serve both with broken pieces of stale popadum, but I honestly couldn’t tell you why. As I say, have a cocktail, take in the view and then go somewhere good to eat.

Second time coming to the nest with my boyfriend as I wanted to give it another chance as the first time the service was horrendous and the host - Didn’t grab her name but had a French accent she was extremely rude. Tonight I had a whole different experience and it was amazing. Greeted by a lovely host called Rose who made effort in asking how our day was I told her my last experience was negative and she made sure this time it would be good. Malisa was also amazing upstairs and food was brilliant. Thankyou for making our second experience amazing

My friend surprised me last night here as it was my first time visiting London and i had the best experience. The drinks did take long to come but it’s understandable as it was very busy. David was my waiter who was very accommodating and friendly. Who was the main highlight was the host Rose who was amazing she greeted us and also extended our table when she found out I was leaving London today as she wanted me to have the best last night which I did. I love this place so much and will hope to come back soon. Please thank her for making my night amazing !!

Really rude staff downstairs, although it’s a nice ish view, it is not worth visiting! Expensive drinks which weren’t nice/ got a mojito with tequila instead of rum. Awful service overall

Had a booking last night on the terrace- 4 people plus a pup. The Nest has a great vibe to it but unfortunately the service is absolutely APPALLING. We had been sat down for 45mins before someone came up and asked “have you been served yet?”. At that point one of us had just gone to the bar because we were clearly not being served at the table (whilst everyone else around us was being served). Had to ask for a water bowl for our puppy FOUR times until one of the servers finally brought us one. They say this place is dog-friendly but half the staff clearly dislike dogs. We were then kicked out by a server saying “you have 30 mins left on your booking” which is totally understandable as there are bookings after us but when you lose 45 mins of your booking because of the lack of service attention.. The audacity. There are plenty of other roof top bars to go to in London that will treat you with respect and hospitality- this place isn’t one of them.

We experienced an afternoon lunch at The Nest Rooftop Bar yesterday. It's out second visit and on both occasions the staff have been nothing short of amazing. The food is delicious and the cocktails are not to be missed. Dogs are allowed on Sundays between 12pm-3pm. They even have dog menus! Our 2 loved it.

Came to the rooftop on a Monday night. Was a nice evening enjoying the view. The outdoor seating is lovely and has heating which is great for the colder evenings. My guests enjoyed their cocktails and hot drinks were also available in the evening. Staff were also friendly. Will be looking forward to go back!

Had a truly lovely time at The Nest. The vibes were great! A very fun rooftop for a drink in London :) a tad pricy but worth it for the experience. Jordan was a great hostess! Matthew was truly a phenomenal bartender, his energy and recommendations were top tier!!

Beautiful sunset views of central London! Ambience is good too IF they like you and give you a decent table outside.. Service was okay. We booked and went for sunset drinks, our table outside was small, cramped, middle of walkway with view blocked by weird wooden paneling! Asked to change but they did not. Tried a cocktail each - really disappointing, seemed like things were just poured into the glass by an amateur kid. 17gbp each -waste of money.

The cocktails were okay. The service was horrible! We waited at least 15 minutes until someone took our orders although there were a lot of staff members standing around the bar and there weren't a lot of guests. The staff was particularly nice either. The view is nice but for a cocktail for 16-17 pounds I do expect a better service.

Got told off by security for not knowing which lift to take up to the nest when I was apparently told by the host.. leaves a very poor impression at arrival.. staff should be trained to be polite, especially when the host said security would take me up and he did not..

One of the best rooftops in central London. The atmosphere was very cozy, and the staff were friendly.

Very frustrated to begin with as it was raining and I could not get a seat inside. Food was lovely big shoutout to the Host Rose who still gave us a good table and tried accommodate us the best she could. 10/10 service from her .Overall review wouldn’t have been the best but due to the amazing customer service from Rose and dealing with the problem immediately the review has turned from a bad one to a good one.

The moment we entered in the vicinity, the female staff did not even bother greeting us. We reserved for 3 seats but was allocated a 2 person table (although there were heaps of empty chairs) and with service charge fees I was expecting that it is STANDARD TO provide space and menus for 3 people. Might be petty of me but felt like since we are asians or looked like asians we were not welcome versus the other white guests. The place is cozy and nice. however, i felt like that staff were not enthusiastic to even serve us anything. No amount of exterior and interior design can replicate a team’s hospitality and service!

Came for my birthday tonight and it was amazing. The cocktails are quite expensive but they are worth it. The hostess Rosa is so sweet and made sure my birthday night was amazing. I will definitely come again

Unfortunately I had to edit this review from 5 stars to 1 star. I usually abstain from reviewing businesses negatively, but I'm opening an exception because I used to be a regular at The Nest and I've never been treated this way. The security's customer service is deplorable. I had a work booking and he didn't let me in upstairs because he said he didn't like my attitude and 'they need people like me there' (hope this was not a racist remark). The whole conversation was recorded and at any instance I've been rude or unpolite to this gentleman. As he didn't let me in upstairs I had to ask my customers to come downstairs and go to another place, where the treatment was considerably different and where securities don't behave akin to aggressive bouncers. I will never, ever return to this place. I don't want to be unfair so I will say the the staff members at The Nest, the bar are super friendly and nice, so this is sort of a sad goodbye. To the staff upstairs I wish you the best and you're amazing. Thank you for treating me and my customers outstandingly.

Very instagrammable location with a great view. Friendly service from our waiter. Cocktails are ok, though not great, food was really not up to the prices (sent back the chips as they were soggy and limp), and to top it off the hostess reminded us several times that we only had the table for X amount of time. No problem- we were aware- then she came 5 minutes before the end time of our table to tell us we had to leave and that the previous guests were waiting . I’ll skip the rest of the story but we gave them an earful- almost like talking to children. We left the table exactly at the end time and went to the restroom- when we walked by again, no one was sitting at our table yet. I would go here for a quick drink for fun music and a view but would quickly move on to somewhere else for food and real cocktails.

Awful experience at The Nest. Went there for my birthday which was a mistake. They rushed us out of the place, quite literally at one point taking one of the remaining plates as one of my friends moved the fork with food to her mouth. I’ve never seen anything like it, so rude. They also despite emailing ahead and agreeing it 3 times forgot to bring out the cake we had dropped off prior, and when asked about it said they had no idea about it. Avoid.

Seriously overpriced pre-mixed cocktails. Surly service.
