I dined here during breakfast service and ordered the works butty which was a sandwich on white bread with a fried egg, sausage, and bacon. The food didn’t taste bad, but it was nothing to write home about and in my opinion didn’t have a lot of filling. Especially for £10.50, it could have been served with a side of hash browns. The service was also not the best, the staff I came across did not seem very friendly. The food however did come out quickly however I can’t say the same for the drinks I ordered. For one they didn’t have apple juice available which was slightly disappointing and 2 coffees took a long time to be made, so long that the food arrived to the table first and was slowly going cold as the hot drinks were taking a long time to be made. To sum it up, The Navigator is nothing special so don’t go expecting to be impressed, the food was average and probably best your going to get at Bournemouth Airport.

Shockingly bad food. My son had the pancakes with bacon which was stodgy, lukewarm pancakes with 3 pieces of fatty, boiled bacon on top, no maple syrup - he couldn’t finish it. The fruit juices are that synthetic, watery stuff that have never even seen a fruit. They have a captive audience in the airport which means they will never bother even trying to offer decent food. Eat there at your own peril - you’ll just be throwing your money away.

Very limited menu and few non bread options. Fish / scampi or even pie and chips? No. We ordered The garlic pizza bread which was inedible, overcooked. Children's pasta £7.50 portion only for a 2yr old maybe. Lovely flavor but served in a ramekin bowl, wouldn't satisfy my 4yr nephew. Fish finger sandwich and chips, was ok. One small rose and an aperol spritz Total bill £47. Felt right mugged off to be honest. Normally we would complain but the staff didn't seem bothered, felt it would fall on deaf ears, one very grumpy woman, like we were putting them out with our late flight at 8:55! Will definitely eat before we fly from there again. The lack of competition for anything else breeding complacency perhaps.

Possibly the worst meal and biggest waste of money ever. My wife had said we should take a Tesco meal deal as no food on the plane, I said no, let’s have a pub lunch before we flat!. Well about 89 very disappointed pounds later I wish I did. Absolute shocker. Chicken and chorizo open sandwich, was a slice of half toasted bread, a couple of bits of chicken, half a dozen slices of chorizo, mayo, chilli sauce and rocket, looked like a toddler had put it together, ham and cheese toasty was dreadful, the fish finger sandwich was cold and the fish was poor, even the chips tasted funny, like sweaty feet as described by my daughter, never again.

Awful food, almost inedible.. but as we had a flight we needed to eat, cold burger and chips, meze dish which looked like it had been standing in the sun for hours, the dips hard in places all this for £26.00, no breakfast available and staff looking like they wanted to be somewhere else.. Will bring sarnies in future….

Dear oh dear 🙄 You are certainly a captive audience at Bmth Airport & if you want a pre-flight drink, be prepared for shockingly expensive drinks served in a messy airport bar/cafe !!! Definitely room for major improvement, especially if Bmth airport is going to get busier with extra flights.

20.45 on a sunday. Quiet so staff could have had time to be pleasant. But a male member of staff was sloppy, can't care less attitude and the coffee was horrible.

Totally overpriced, pint of lager and a green tea £11 . If that wasn't bad enough, it was empty when we arrived at about 4.15pm and the carpet and floor is disgusting, food and rubbish everywhere. I saw at least 4/5 staff on duty, who's in charge? So poor! No one seems to care.

This is s prime example of riping off customers in a captive market. It's the only place to eat airside. The food is edable, just and the prices are ridiculous for the quality. Bring your own food.

We arrived at Bournemouth Airport looking forward to having something to eat before our flight. I wasn’t expecting anything special and understand that as a captive audience prices will be high. However, the ham and cheese (£11.00) and cheese and tomato (£10.25) toasties we ordered were particularly poor value. The thin ham only half-filled the bread. I asked for a replacement and got the same amount in the next version. When I complained the barman got defensive and said it was the ‘spec’ of the sandwich. I asked him to pass my feedback to his bosses to improve the ‘spec’. Btw, the other toastie only had 2 thin tomato slices. The chips that accompanied each toastie were okay. I’m happy to pay their prices as long as they make some effort to provide vale but this was taking the p*ss. I suggest you bring your own food or do the meal deal at WH Smith. It’s bound to be better.

When you’re the only cafe in an airport departure lounge, you don’t need to try that hard !!! As it’s the only cafe the queues are long, they could do with more staff. Plenty of seating, which is an obvious positive. Food & drink is just what you’d expect at an airport 🙄

It does make me chuckle reading some of these scathing reviews! We've flown from Bournemouth for years (local airport) and generally celebrate the start of our holiday with a glass of bubbles and a bacon sandwich in the Navagator. Yes the food is sub-standard (but edible) and you probably need a credit rating of 999 to apply for the mortgage you'll need to afford your meal - but we've always found the staff pleasant and accommodating, the food has always been quick to appear and YOUR ON HOLIDAY - Cheer up!!! If you don't want to spend the £45 on a couple of beers and a bacon sandwich then pop into Smiths next door for a meal deal!

We arrived at the airport for a 630am flight. The bar was open, just. While waiting to be served, a lady ahead of me asked about food and was told it would be 5 or so minutes. Another member of staff appeared and the staff member asked him if she could out ot through the til. His response was, if you must. I coild hear this much further back. Not what you want to hear from a service that is there to cater for customers of flight that are scheduled to leave at that time.e. uts not as if it was un expected . Once more passengers came through, additional staff were slow to help take bar orders. Not the best experience

Pretty shocking after ordering the vegetarian breakfast and the brunch breakfast with a pint of Peroni and Mermaid Gin totaling £43!! When the meals came out, it was shocking for what we paid. It was basically sub Wetherspoons where the same would've cost around £15-18 and for more. The only thing missing from the staff serving is a mask and a shotgun when clearly robbing people before their holiday.....

Before our flight to Gran Canaria we decided to order a portion of chips because we felt a little bit peckish. Don’t go in with high expectations: it’s nothing to get your holiday started of on a high! The staff are pleasant but the food not so much, it’s all extremely overpriced and incredibly average. The chips where not very fluffy and were quite hard! I advise you like we thankfully did was to stop off at M&S on the way and pick up your favourite sarnie, we are so glad we were did, now that was tasty!

Visited Haven Cafe last Wednesday & what a disappointment…………………………Had arranged to meet other family members for crabbing at Mudeford. Thought would be authentic to have lunch that was likely sourced locally so went to the cafe. In total we were a party of 5 adults & 2 children. The large order included one child’s portion of fish chips (£8.95) and a fair portion was served but when the small adult scampi & chips (£11) arrived we couldn’t believe it, I so regret now not taking a photograph. Four pieces of scampi peas & less chips than on the child’s portion. We queried it with a member of staff who really wasn’t bothered and confirmed it was the correct size for the order. How the price can be justified I really don’t know. I spoke to a group of staff who throughout our time in the cafe had stood chatting at the till area, they appeared totally disinterested especially at my complaint. Asking to speak to someone about it, a different member of staff came to the table & was adamant that my portion size was a small adult portion of the 2 sizes - small/large on offer. Saying the adult would have had more chips. No way was there more chips, my portion was in general smaller than the child’s. How I wish I had taken that photo. I don’t know the position or seniority of the person who came to speak to me, there was no introduction. Just insistence that I’d been served the correct portion size. No apology or valid reason was offered for my disappointment. I regret now not ordering a child’s fish & chips I would definitely at least have felt I’d had a meal. I have to say two in our group had mussels which were amazing & thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately the whole experience was ruined by my “small”meal, eaten almost immediately before others’ meals had arrived. The others feeling guilty starting their’s as I had finished and not at all fulfilled. Our combined family group spent £100 in the cafe that lunchtime. Never again!!

Not sure how I’ve managed the last few months during the impromptu shut down of the coffee shop. I work nearby and send all my clients here for the best coffee and service in a clean and inviting atmosphere. I also use the cafe daily for my lunch time coffee and occasionally lunch or a snack; sometimes with friends or colleagues. All the staff in Waitrose Christchurch are wonderful but particularly Graham makes my day with his warm welcome, unrushed but efficient service and gorgeous soya lattes. The average age of resident in xchurch is 65 and it should not come as a surprise that any supermarket offering cafe services is a particular draw to our residents. Please don’t close down again!

Great Coffee shop. Great staff team and nothing is too much trouble. Very clean including the toilet facilities. Ample room and free parking outside. All produce of goods quality. Can be busy at times but worth the wait.. Even if you do not drink coffee. Update, new staff from last time, still as friendly and quick. This place could do with a self clear station. The staff work hard enough as it is.. Still a favourite..

Can’t stop thinking about the food which we had on Friday night. It was absolutely delicious. Defo my new place to go. The flavours were amazing and the service was great too. Shame they had no coffee left which would have finished the whole experience off nicely, but all in all we loved it and we will definitely be back. Thank you.
