Booked this for a table of 14. I had called midweek and advised that we would arrive at 14:15pm instead of 2pm to allow people to arrive in waves. When I arrived I'd been advised that two particular waitresses had already said the table was booked for 2pm and the looks they were giving out were anything but friendly! One particular waitress with hearts on her face, yet lacking a heart was nothing short of miserable and passive aggressive! Not able to crack even a semi smile, she came numerous times to the table instructing us to find out how long the others would be, whilst telling us dessert was off the table! They, rather then be grateful for the booking they had, were too busy banging on about how they could have another party take our table at 3.30pm! So had allocated a large booking just a sheer 1:15 minutes to drink and eat. To say this particular waitress was toxic was an understatement! Even when thanked as we left she was stone faced and said nothing. She definitely picked the wrong profession and should consider policing! Don't go here folks unless you want to be treated like garbage! The food was nothing special either!

Brilliant local offering great pub food. Very friendly staff made us all feel welcome and took care of our large party with ease. Highly recommend a visit.

Proper home cooked food, real chips (not the tasteless frozen chips served by most pub/restaurant chains these days), generous portions, reasonably priced, varied menu, good service. The chef who cooks the evening meals when we have eaten here certainly knows what he is doing.

Great meal, friendly staff and atmosphere. Ordered sizzling steak with peppercorn sauce and it didn’t disappoint & Very well presented. Will be back again with fiends and family.

Just been for Sunday Lunch, had the small meal this time, which was not that small, and was ample. We even managed a dessert, Baileys cheesecake and Black current and prosecco cheesecake with ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. Just had a Sunday lunch. We had the pork, turkey and beef and they were all exceptional. The beef just melted in your mouth and there was plenty of it. I would definitely recommend to give this place a try

We live just 5 mins away but haven’t been for years , the last visit was a disaster but let me tell you this …. It’s a great place to eat nowadays for sure. Salad was fresh , portions are good , great choice on the menu for everyone ( I don’t eat meat ) my missus had the pate and then the Lasagne …. I had the tomato & mozzarella salad and then the prawn sizzler … all the good was really really nice , nice staff too. Give it a go , I’m gonna try one of the breakfasts in the week 👍

A total disappointment...probably the worst sunday lunch I have ever had.The only item of food edible was the mashed potato...there was an overriding taste of burnt roasted potatoes which were brown when cut into and the extra portion were disguised with gravy.Some basic cooking and presentation skills needed here.To add insult to injury full payment was made as the Manager was not on site .We were offered a free drink and desert but refused both as just wanted to leave and find another eatery however we negotiated a refund on the drinks we had purchased. Very disappointing experience all in all.

We went on a Friday evening, looked really busy so we asked if they could accommodate us and thankfully was told yes. We ordered our meal and waited for a while for it to arrive. I am always feel relieved when food takes a while to arrive as it appears to be cooked to order and not "pinged". We were not disappointed my steak was cooked to perfection and proper chips(not frozen)!!! My husband really enjoyed his lamb cutlets and didn't find anything to complain about (he's not a moaner just unlucky) well worth a visit.

Wednesday lunch 1.30. The restaurant part of this pub was three quarters full. Service was friendly, professional and quick. Two gammon and eggs, two generous desserts and two drinks...£26.30. Very reasonable. The outdoor area was very nicely done and the interior clean and nicely decorated. This is good pub grub at good prices. Nice chips!!

Been here a couple of times now, both times we have been it has been quiet (weekday afternoon), but because it is cosy I can imagine it might get a bit busy when full. However the food is gorgeous! Visited this pub last week with friends, I ordered the Guinness pie came out cold, told staff they sent it back for reheating, the meat in the pie was really chewy and tasteless.

My family and I visited the navigation and wasn't disappointed with the food, although the scampi and mash was a little odd combination. Food ordered was the gammon steak, lamb cutlets, meat feast pizza and scampi, other than mash rather than chips with the scampi the food was delicious and generous portions. The only criticism is the tables are a little too close together especially with the existing bench seating around the edge of the the room, my mom kept getting bumped by the table behind her. On the whole, food, service and price excellent and will definitely be back.

My Husband, young son and me have been frequentling here for a couple of weeks now on a Friday. We were made to feel very welcomed by the friendly staff and owners. Excellent choice of beers and wines, excellent food. Would highly recommend
