Decided to have a Sunday lunch which was excellent, I had beef, plenty of it, 4 vegetables and all the trimmings, very good value. Good choice of drinks and plenty of room outside for children. All the sport channels available. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back on a regular basis.

I am a local been in the pub on 3 occasions and being of colour have found I'm always served last and left waiting. Try the royal Oak or the new inn both a 5 minute walk either way.

This is a nice pub with a lovely playground for the kids. Was a lovely sunny day so we stopped for a drink while our little girl played. Unfortunately there was a large group of young people whose language and behaviour was totally inappropriate for a family friendly establishment. Such a shame as there were lots of families out trying to enjoy the sunshine and a drink with there children. I realise that the pub are not responsible for peoples behaviour, I just don’t know what’s wrong with some of our younger generation this is the 2 pub we have visited in a week and all you hear is the F*** word every other. I have a family but still want to be able to go out to visit a pub now and again but it seems this isn’t possible. On a plus the staff were friendly, garden was nice and the playground and I am sure with different people it would have been a much nicer experience. I did want to say something but unfortunately in this day and age you feel a little nervous because you don’t know what reaction you may receive.

Manager has gone on holiday and nobody can turn the heating, came in here for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and we are all freezing, what a joke.

Not one to leave bad reviews, food was terrible and dry , manager comes across rude and unfriendly won't be coming back on a plus note girl waitress was brilliant.

Am buying a house in the area....so thought id do a reckie on all the pubs etc...i do know the area, but had never been into this pub before, always looked interesting, as an old traditional style pub. I came in on my own at 9.45pm Two at the bar with £5 in their hands, two girls serving........fine......stood at bar and a dozen people walked in....."ill get these" said the guy walking in......fine......one barmaid disappears....ok fine.....the remaining bartender serves the guys waiting.....a man to my left alerts the barmaid to my being there....her response " ahh im doing a big round here"....( no acknowledgement of me)....the same guy says "sorry pal shes looking after the locals"..... Of which i would have been ....BUT NOT NOW!!!!! Having owned a pub in the past , i would have served the lone stranger...i only came in for ONE drink.....an acknowledgement from the staff àt least would have sufficed, in the middle of her twenty person round she could have quickly poured mine....and who would have noticed... AH WELL MY FREINDS AND FAMILY, AND MUCH MORE WILL NOT BE COMING TO THIS PLACE... ( Wonderful as it looks)...

A great traditional pub with a good atmosphere. The bar staff are great and the couple who run the pub are so lovely and friendly. Best thing is you can bring your dogs too. Will be back again soon.

Some fine real ales, we’ll kept, the “Enville” is the beer of the gods. Decent standard pub grub, love the chicken wings. Nice atmosphere, lovely garden when the weather allows. We shall return, happy to recommend.

Gosh - some the recent reviews are quite poor but look at the dates - mostly a year or more old. My experience yesterday was much different. I don’t know if anything has changed but I’d go back. Food is a standard pub menu but the three meals we had were well presented and good to eat so met expectations. The difference - welcomed by a nice barman who was very helpful, placed order for food with a younger barman who was equally nice and food delivered by a lady who again was really nice. It’s this sort of attention and service that make me want to go back to somewhere. I don’t go to Wombourne often but the Mount Pleasant would be somewhere I’d be happy to go back to.

The worst pub meal i have ever experienced, i ordered a mix grill and there was no steak available, my daughter ordered a chicken platter and they did not have buffalo chickens wings.They also only had only four onion rings available..My partner had hunters chicken which tasted like card board.The food presentation was poor. We were the only people eating in the pub and I can see why.We will never eat there again!!

As regulars to the Mount Pleasant pub, we felt let down after waiting ONE hour for our meals (19 April) without any warning it would be that long. It was a lovely sunny evening to sit in the beer garden. Inside the pub was not busy at all, and very few people outside appeared to be eating. So we were surprised at the wait. As a gesture of goodwill, we felt we should have been offered a complimentary bottle of wine. They gave us a bottle of Mulled Wine no doubt left over from Christmas, and said we had drunk all the white wine (what?) Wasn't impressed. In fact felt quite insulted.

First observations this pub has a good food and drink menu, but when visited recently we felt unwelcome. Staff rushed off their feet and resulted in tables left uncleared and orders being missed. Owners appear disinterested if you're not a regular. I would say the pub is capable of so much more and there are much better pubs within a short walk/drive.

Made our first visit to this lovely pub on Sunday 10th February 2018 as we had a water leak at home and decided to go and have Sunday lunch out. Found this nice looking pub found a table and sat down. Nice simple menu but as I fancied some fish and not fried fish & chips I was originally disappointed. I'm avoiding carbs at the moment so the choice was a little limited and no specials board? Decided on the Chicken & Bacon salad which arrived fairly promptly and well presented. Lots of nice salad (packet not kitchen prepared) but very nice and hot fresh cooked chicken & Bacon. I asked for salad cream but they had none and brought Mayo which I also like. the salad dressing was a nice French dressing. The people had only just taken over and were looking at getting things started, that's why no special board and salad cream I thought. The toilets were spotlessly clean which I believe is a very good sign and the pub it self was clean and tidy and the new people very friendly and we shall definitely make another visit again soon to see how they are doing. Good food in a friendly environment at reasonable prices, I would recommend a visit

Had a table booked for Sunday lunch, no Sunday dinners left when we arrived. Ordered the sirloin off the main menu and asked for it medium. When it eventually turned up it was burnt! Had a young baby with us and by this point we just needed to leave. No one asked if our meals were ok, our server disappeared after giving us our meals. Will not be returning

Dropped in one mid-week lunchtime with my mum, which was our first (and last) visit. We were the only people in the pub, so we had the full attention of the lady serving (or so we thought)!She asked if we'd like to order drinks and my mum ordered a glass of rose wine and I had a diet Pepsi. The lady asked if I wanted ice and I said 'no.' Our drinks arrived less than a minute later and my glass of Pepsi was full of ice! But I just let it go and hoped it was a case of having a very poor memory! For lunch, we decided on the fish-finger sandwich (mum) and tuna mayo melt (me). I went up to the bar and the lady took our order, although she seemed a little confused when I asked for the tuna mayo melt, despite it being on the standard menu, not a special. By this point, only one other couple had come in to dine, so the place was hardly packed!Our meals arrived and we both looked at my sorry offering with confusion. My mum's beer-battered fish finger sandwich was huge and served on a large oval plate with loads of chunky chips, peas and tartare sauce, while my 'tuna mayo melt' was made with the tiniest slices of bread (half the size of my mum's) and served on a saucer-size plate, minus chips or any kind of garnish. I was bewildered! I looked at the menu and both dishes came under the 'Sandwiches' heading, which says 'served with chunky chips' and they were exactly the same price! The serving lady had disappeared by this stage, so we started to eat and my mum threw a handful of chips my way, as there were too many for her and she felt sorry for me. I took the first bite of my sandwich and realised that I couldn't taste any tuna, so I opened it up to find that all that was inside was two quarter-inch thick pieces of raw tomato and some melted cheese. At that, the serving lady reappeared and I called her over to tell her that my 'tuna melt' didn't actually have any tuna on it! She hovered about looking confused and said 'the chef must've got it wrong' before saying she'd better check what she'd asked the chef to make before going to tell him off. She went behind the bar and said she'd found the order and, not very convincingly, stated 'yes, tuna, cheese melt' that's right.' However, as she didn't head off into the kitchen to reprimand the chef, I presume it had been her cock-up. I didn't even bother to mention the lack of chips, as by this point, I'd lost the will to live! How difficult can it be to take 2 drinks and 2 sandwich orders and get them right, when there's no-one else in the place?! Quite unbelievable! Needless to say, we disappeared quietly without ordering anything else and won't be returning.

Mi familia y yo fuimos el sábado por la noche para una cena a la luz después de un día ajetreado.Buena variedad de cervezas, vinos y cerveza y un menú para el almuerzo y la luz aceptable picaduras. Una pequeña mejora es que se puede hacer con una sección de parrilla con un bistec y una sobresaliente.Pedimos cuatro comidas principales de una camarera super amable y llegó rápidamente. La hamburguesa vegetal era realmente buena, así como las chuletas de tocino y huevos, que estaban bien presentados. Mi madre pidió la los cazadores de pollo que estaba bien presentado y probado realmente buenas y tuve el pollo cubierto con una salsa de crema con puerro y puré de patatas y verduras frescas. El pollo estaba húmeda y suculento y la cremosa salsa era maravilloso y sabor increíble. Fue bueno ver algo de variedad en vez de patatas fritas puré de patatas por tener. Llegó con judías verdes y zanahorias, ambos de los cuales estaban crujientes y frescas. Muy buen esfuerzo en la comida.Pedimos postre, algunos más hasta la capacitación con la camarera que obviamente era nuevo, ya que ella realmente no parecen saber su manera alrededor de la caja, pero era muy servicial y amable, nunca menos. Los postres eran realmente lo más destacado de la comida, recomiendo encarecidamente el caramelo y chocolate brownie salados refresco, debido a las pequeñas piezas de merengue (volvería por eso). Sólo me hubiera gustado que pusieran un bistec en el menú, y quizá tener una tabla de ofertas, no me importa pagar un poco más, ya que los precios eran realmente buenos.

We celebrated the life of a beautiful lady yesterday and this place couldn't have done more. They created a beautiful Buffett, Marques outside & together with the fabulous service from the staff they made her send off so rememberable. Thank you to you all

Always visit this pub when in wombourne mainly on a sunday I would highly recommend this pub to anyone Nicky @ Mark have really turned the pub around great atmosphere ales and food is top draw on sunday 11th June we visited for a few beers my dad came over all faint @ blacked out nicky called ambulance to which later we found my dad had suffered mild heart attack to which he was in coronary care for 4 days pleased to say he out now gotta take it easy I would like to praise nicky @ mark for the professional way they handled the situation can't thank them enough see you both sunday for fathers day all being well

He estado aquí unas cuantas veces para reunirse con amigos para comer y que todos tenemos un tiempo agradable. La oferta de comida (almuerzo y postre) son de buena calidad y muy sabrosa. El personal es servicial y te hacen sentir bienvenido. Es un pub muy agradable.

Recientemente fuimos a "El Mount Pleasant" nunca la habían antes, sólo una pequeña zona para comer, pero estaba bien atendida, pedimos nuestra comida de un buen menú completo para un sitio tan pequeño y todo estaba muy sabroso, volvería.

Pescado y patatas fritas son fabulosas. Una botella de vino de menos de 10 libras. ? No puedes equivocarte! Pasamos el día de Navidad el almuerzo con mi familia visitando hére desde España. Todo muy agradable.

called into this pub (as I work locally) I had already had lunch but thought I would drop in for a drink and check out the menu. I was greeted by Dan - a lovely chap, helpful and welcoming. we had a chat about food and the menu and I look forward to returning with friends to have a bite to eat. If the food is as good as the bar service, politeness and welcome, then its going to be a great meal! this is how pubs/restaurants should be run.

I live in the area and I often go to this pub, it has a nice friendly atmosphere. It's a great pint and the foods good too, best pub in area.

We have eaten here twice in a week- once in the evening and today a sandwich lunch after a canal walk. On both occasions th he food was great and the welcome friendly. This has always been a good pub but the new owner had added a different outlook with the food.Think we may become regulars!!

Just popped in for some lunch and well food was delicious, well priced and you didn't have to wait to long about 10 mins which was fine Would definitely eat here again and as always amazing staff and a friendly reception.

A decent menu with something for everyone and very well priced. The service was quick and friendly and the food was decent enough for what you pay. I noticed a food hygiene rating sticker saying 4. It always concerns me a little when it's not a 5!

popped in with some friends and family now that the pub is under new management and what can I say!! Such a lovely atmosphere here fantastic pub set off the road in a village location with great food on offer and nicely priced and the new owners are so friendly make you feel so welcome and part of their family when your their. They even found the time to personally ask us if everything was OK! Staff really helpful couldn't ask for more,Fantastic little village pub very clean, modern with that village pub vibe!! Would I visit again? Yes I would!Would I recommend? Yes if in the area you must pop in.10/10!!Nicky and your team your all truly amazing. See you next time!

Only popped in for a couple before we started our bar crawl for a friends birthday, I live relatively local, but had never been here before.The staff here are one of a kind, I can't say anything about the food, but the atmosphere when we walked in was fantastic, and I felt welcome in the building as soon as I walked in.Keep up the good work guys!

We moored our boat up overnight in Wombourne. Went into the Round Oak canalside pub where the service was appalling and the food looked awful. The Mount Pleasant is however 200 yds up the hill and is an excellent place for beer and food. The staff an customers were all very friendly and we would definitely visit again.

We do not live very close to the mount pleasant but we enjoyed it last year. I booked a table for my husband and three children on Sunday 21 June as it was my husbands birthday and Father's Day. I drove up a few days before with balloons and a cake. On arrival we sat at our table and a member of staff told us it was Sunday roast only and only fish fingers on the kids menu. Although this wasn't on the website or the menu, and again other meals were being served to " other tables ".We asked for the cake and left as it was a joke. The whole day was ruined.

Beer is good but don't eat here ... Food takes a long time to be served and it really isn't value for money. My salmon was more like a minnow with the 3 bean chilli means you get 3 beans ...

Visited this place with my Wife & 9 year old daughter. Recommended by colleague at work. Arrived and as soon as we went in we were approached by a Pleasant young lady who informed us that on the Menu was Sunday Roast only. Which we agreed was fine. So we placed our order for 3 Sunday roasts and Deserts to follow after. After meal we had our deserts, a family walked in and ordered there meal amongst which was Burger & Chips. I have to question why we were only offered Sunday roast, and a regular family walks in and can order whatever they like from the menu. I had checked the menu on there website and although Sunday Roast is on offer that is not the only choice available for customers. Maybe there after a certain type of clientele that they prefer or our face doesn't fit in a village pub type environment. I wonder what the management will have to say....... I certainly was disappointed by this two tier attitude they have towards certain customers......

Decent pub food, at a reasonable price but the speed of service was a touch slow! the beer was superb though - defo worth going for a pint!

A clean and bright pub devoid of customers and when the food arrived after an inordinate time the portions were tiny and not sufficient given the higher than average prices. Disappointed won't be returning

Great place to go for a drink! Only stopped off once for food but can't complain about the quality or the price. Huge selection of real ales and really clued up staff. Love it!
