Asked for a curry that didn’t exist… anyway now it does, Lamb Garlic medium curry with onions and peppers and a slight kick! Nicest curry I’ve had in a long time! I’m calling it the Samb Garlic! Love the Mothi won’t go anywhere else 🙌🏽 the chilli sauce with the popadoms is really nice as well also the mixed balti and chicken Bhuna. Always comes on time always hot always looks well presented

Excellent food and value for money

This place used to be amazing, now they cut corners, the sauces are soooooooo diluted that the “mint” yogurt sauce soaks in to your onion Baji it’s like water, basically white water. The mango is like vinegar and absolute no chutney consistency also like water, Pour this on your food and it’s game over. So annoying as once this was the best about. Just don’t waste your time and go to the grand dhavali in irlam instead. Hope they get their heads together. Terrible and so annoying.

Mothi has been running for what must be over 15 plus years and has always had a very good standard. But I hate to say in recent times it’s becoming a bit dated and formal don’t get me wrong the staff are nice but it’s the feel you get when your there.

Not had an Indian meal for quiet a long time due to price increases, thought we would have a treat tonight . Had plenty of meals from here before & always enjoyed it . Tikka masala wasn’t good at all didn’t taste right my bhuna was VERY boring no taste , mango for the poppadoms was like water , husbands Korma was ok but the rest went in the bin last order we will place huge let down 😤

I have lived in the area for 13 years and have always felt safe eating here. I have a life-threatening allergy, which has resulted in me being placed in comas previously. The man I usually deal with has always advised me to call early so they can make me a curry without the ingredient that im allergic to. I've always paid the extra but was worth it. Tonight, I've called to order a curry, and they have refused to serve me, which is quite upsetting. They said everything is pre made, and my allergy is their main ingredient. I said I've eaten there for years and asked if they were refusing to serve me. He said yes, we are refusing to serve you. I advised that this was discriminatory and quite upsetting given the money I've spent with them over the year's, and because I know they are able to accommodate me. They always have. So whether this is a different manager, I'm not sure. But it's upsetting and rude. There are many restaurants around cadishead that will accommodate, so I'm not short of places to eat. But this tells me that fresh is no longer their moto, neither is customer service. I've managed to get tea from elsewhere tonight and I'll not be bringing family to dine again.

Fantastic little spice house, great currys best selections

The food is fantastic and at very reasonable prices. A great local restaurant. The owner is very helpful & attentive and nothing is to much trouble. In the 15 year's my wife and I have been coming here we have never had a bad meal. Top drawer every time.

Lovely food spoilt by a terrible peshawar naan. Peshawar nan, coconut and sultanas right ? Not here. No filling, so plain naan drizzled with ( I think )a caramel sauce. Sickly sweet, extremely messy and sticky on your hands and an overriding bitter sweet taste. Strange. I told them and reply I got was . . . That's how they do it here. No apology or knock it off the bill. So bitterly disappointed. Otherwise quite nice food. BUT CARAMEL SAUCE !!! 🤮

We order food via their website to be delivered . The food always arrives hot and in good time. Delivery staff are always polite and friendly. Prices are reasonable, and most importantly, the food tastes great!

We placed a collection order for Madras curry (Vegetables) Pulao rice, chilli naan & chips We picked it up within 15min as the person on phone said it would be ready I thought that was abut quick anyways pick the food up got home The food smelt horrible don't know if it was gone off or not we thought well still try it out as we spent total of £15 on order .. chips looked over fried and burnt and so oily like literally you could taste the oil rice was smelling nasty had one mouthful and spat it out it was hard and tasted gone off the curry was nasty full of just potatoes and mushrooms lol its as if there couldn't find any other vegetables to include in the curry the naan as you can see in the picture was burnt out left right centre hard as anything to bite on I was so angry I wanted to call them what an absolute dissapointing service and laziness gone into this service never ever ordering from here and if you guys do order please check your food before leaving the restaurant if you get takeout how can you provide this sort service to customers the food was gone off! I wanted to give them a call and rant it all out and wanted refund but my partner just said leave it anyways the food all ended up in bin so disgusted by the lack of service and food would have been better spending 15 pounds in chippy across the road then giving it here !!

Ordered lots of times before this time portions very small on this occasion not very happy being a loyal customer, and then just brushed of on the phone never again I'm done this place has be going down hill for a while.

We visited late afternoon to appreciate the early bird menu. We were spoilt, the food was plentiful and delicious, we struggled to finish it! Highly recommended and the waiters are very friendly :)

Nice ambiance. The staff were very nice. We went on a Monday so it wasn't busy at all. Had the chicken tikka and it was very mild. Some extra bit of chicken would have been nice but it was altogether good. Not expensive either.

If you like a kebab that's 10% chicken and 90% naan this is the place, accompanied by chips in oil that was last changed when they opened the place. Don't bother ringing them and telling them, you'll be met with the same lifelessness as the chicken. Used to be alright but then again I was usually half cut. Save your money because they're clearly saving theirs.

Very friendly , always delicious, and very tasty, you can tell that good quality ingredients are used. The best for miles around, quick service, food hot when it arrives, with good size portions, you won't be disappointed. We've been here a few times now, really looking forward to the next meal from 'The Mothi'

We ordered food worth upto 30 pounds and it was awful the currys didn't have any spice of any sort of taste to it the rice in briyani was hard as if its been reheated and just given to us .. the naans we ordered was chilli naan and it was burnt out had massive holes in it and could not even tire it apart literally pull hard on it to rip it apart and it was not ateabl at all it was hard and tasted burnt chips were reheated also was hard to chew on felt like been left for days and was just added on our order.. onion raita was horrible I mean I get it its meant to have yogurt taste could not taste anything good felt like I was just eating yogurt with onions. This is pure laziness from staffs at restaurant and for customers like us who order least £25-30 pounds worth of takeout helping to keep the business running during lockdown. We shouldn't have to deal with this sort of quality on food or laziness service!! This is the last time will never order from here again regretting it so much for anyone who does consider getting takeout or eat in here always check your food before you leave the restaurant! I wouldn't even give one star

The food is always lovely but I just wanted to put out a special mention to them because they really went the extra mile today! They knew we were celebrating a lockdown birthday and so when our delivery order arrived they also sent a complimentary bottle of wine to help us celebrate! This was so thoughtful and so appreciated!

Covid safe restaurant and good food

The onion bhaji was hard and looked old and the chips where reheated and just fat. The curry didn’t have any spices in it at all. The tikka masala just tasted like passatta was nothing in it. I will not be using here again.

Had a fantastic curry at 'The Mothi' Friday (17.7.20). I can't fault the service nor the quality of food which went above and beyond not withstanding the current covid guidelines and advice. Didn't fancy town and pleased I stayed local, finished off with our usual brandy coffee. Will be back again soon.

We ordered take away food after we were told the food was excellent by a family member I ordered the king prawn madras curry and I have to say I was extremely disappointed The sauce had a weird sour taste to it, vinegary or too much lemon in it and it wasn’t pleasant at all But my main complaint is that there was only 4 prawns in the dish which worked out at £2.50 per prawn. I consider that very poor value for money and my Saturday night takeaway ruined. Never again.

i have been visiting this place since 1982 when i left school and needed and need a drink after midnight. the food has always been great and the owner is a perfect host.

I absolutely love the food from here delivery is brilliant the portion sizes, the freshness and the flavours are all amazing I've never been disapointed compared to another indian close by it's by far the best in every sense

Probably the only place to eat in Irlam and Cadishead in the 1980's - went there a couple of weeks back and great - Good stuff guys. a great job !!

We searched for a recommended indian take away for a while. And mothi was up there. We placed the order online. We were about to pay but Google sent a warning to say it was an insecure connection. Unfortunately on this occasion we were put off by this. We were on this occasion too lazy to collect. But will be trying this place out in the future.

Apart from having a table right next to the toilets, the food is bland and the drinks are watered down. Staff were very cheery and friendly though.

I've never actually eaten in The Mothi! I have, however, has countless take away meals or, even better, had meals delivered to our home. The interesting menu serves a large choice of well cooked meals using first class ingredients. The staff are always friendly and cheerful. Large portions of well cooked food at very reasonable prices. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Manchester.

Wow, I found this hidden gem whilst traveling on business. The food was excellent, the service very good and the decor modern. All in all a lovely meal. Highly recommended.

Myself and two friends visited for a meal before heading out for drinks. Waiting staff very friendly and attentive. Great when asking for opinions on what best to order or special dietary requirements. I ordered a prawn bhuna and nann bread.....both were lovely and plenty of prawns in the bhuna. Also had poppadoms with chutney yum yum. Drinks and food very well priced and table service excellent. Would recommend a visit and shall be back again soon.

Nephew decided we where going for a curry to his favourite curry house. The staff where friendly, the food was delicious, drinks not over priced. Great night and more to follow at The Mothi

ordered a delivery and told 40 minutes. we received no food but was told it had been delivered. the actual owner of the restaurant was laughing and thought this was funny...hence my payment will be cancelled first thing tomorrow
