Everything was lovey, delicious food (we had a 2 course meal at £20) - the gf brownie and rhubarb and custard pudding were incredible. Amazing atmosphere, so cosy and warm. The staff made us feel extremely welcome, especially Ellen. Thank you!

Lovely pub, excellent service from Ellen. One of the party was not happy with her food but she was compensated with a free pudding. Definitely would recommend.

Been coming here for years and it’s my favourite pub/restaurant. The staff are wonderful and Ellen always takes the time to talk to us and greet my children with questions about how they are. Food is brilliant.

We are local but have never been in for food before. So decided to come in for our anniversary and the bartender Rob was so lovely. Will definitely be back just for the service.

Our waitress was called Maddi and she was absolutely brilliant and the food was delicious.

Today we had excellent service from Lisa. Very friendly and efficient. We all enjoyed our food and drinks. For me the added benefit of substituting ice cream for custard made my dessert far more enjoyable.Ww shall definitely return and can happily recommend this pub/restaurant.

Sunday lunch was 'ok', we just think it is so over-priced. We were asked if we wanted water for the table when we arrived assuming it was free until we noticed it on the bill. A bit cheeky, this. At least explain that it's chargeable. For the size of portions and quality of food it's over-priced. I had the lamb shank for almost £25 and I had a spoonful of mash, a sliver of carrot, 4 runner beans and the lamb wasn't that good. My parents had the duo of beef and while the slow cooked beef was delicious, the sirloin was tough. The desserts are lovely but so expensive for the small portions you get. I have no problem with the prices as long as we feel we're getting value. I really don't think the food warrants the pricing here though. Service was great though. Oh, and £8 for a glass of wine...! All in all, four people had Sunday lunch and a dessert and it was over £150. Crazy.

Amazing service from Roberto, Billy and Ellie. Starters were lovely, the new chicken skewers are recommended. However, the seafood linguine with the over cooked scallops were a little disappointing.

Dropped in here on the way back from a visit to Clumber Park, and very glad we did. Lovely lunch, (interesting menu to choose from), friendly staff and pleasant setting. We'll be back! Update - March 2025 Received a Birthday offer a few days ago and returned for lunch today with my wife. Ellen looked after us and provided excellent friendly service, along with food selection from the new Spring menu. Everything was delicious and cooked just as requested. Brilliant!!

The dining experience has either lost or has disappeared from this venue. I have eaten here for 20 years including 12 Xmas days. The food is bland disspraportionate and poorly presented. Not in the same league as when David the previous landlord had it. Very disappointed. Lost my go to place.

The worst burger I have ever had in my life. We ordered 3 of the dirty burgers which cost £22 each The burgers were supposed to be “premium “ dripping in cheese and pulled beef topping with burger sauce and pickles All 3 arrived and were all were absolutely disgusting. It was a Frozen burger re heated which was burnt and had absolutely zero flavour. The texture was of rubber. My burger had no cheese or burger sauce. The pickles consisted of 2 pieces of cucumber soaked in vinegar. My husbands burger was so burnt and had hardly any toppings. The pulled beef consisted of 3 tiny pieces of beef. The bun was poor. Nothing about this burger was premium. I have never had such a bad burger ever it was absolutely shocking that they are charging £22 for a re heated frozen burger which probably cost about 50p We didn’t pay for our meal as we could not eat it. Left hungry and extremely disappointed. The manager admitted they buy the burgers in so they don’t even attempt to make them fresh

Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch today at the Mossbrook. The waitress, Ellen was a credit to your company. She was very attentive and friendly, explaining the menu to my friend and I. I’ll definitely be back to dine with you.

Amazing food and amazing service!

We visited for Sunday lunch yesterday and the sun was shining and there was a gorgeous atmosphere. The food was delicious, the meat eaters of the group said the meat was lovely and tender and really well cooked. The staff were super accommodating, especially to my demanding toddler! Thanks all, would highly recommend 😊

Visited this pm and staff are fantastic but food is average at best. Even our 4 yr old grandson complained about the food! Pasta overcooked , creme bullet like soup and chocolate brownie that must be from poundland . Not great but the young lady hosting us was 10/10.

Great food and brilliant service

Two of us had the karaage chicken starter. The chicken and marinade was Luke warm. 2 of us had the prawn and chorizo pasta main meal, it had a very weird taste and contained, cold tomatoes and I think? Cold peppers which were not needed. Would have been better with a tomato sauce. One had the pie. The pie was dry and over cooked with very little meat content. One had the sea bass, the sauce was disappointing. We were very disappointed as we usually have a good meal here.

Went last night and do go here on a special occasions to celebrate our anniversary usually. I had fish and chips the chips were oven chips and the fish was dry My partner had Lamb which was very good Prices have gone up and it’s my first negative experience here I’m afraid

We visit on average once a week. Like the variety offered by the menu - the always excellent quality of the food and of course the exceptional service.

Fish was under cooked, mushy peas were blended.

Visited the Mossbrook several times and it never fails to impress. Fillet steak is to die for. Staff were attentive and polite. Car park is quite tight if you have a large vehicle.

What an amazing Valentines meal the food was outstanding and a special mention must go to Josh who helped me by giving us a more private table, so I could Pop the big question. ❤️💍 And she said Yes !!!!!
