Traditional boozer in South London bustling with characters on a Friday lunchtime. Food delivered within the usual 10 minutes despite being pretty busy. Pint was a little slow but worth the wait.

We went for Sunday brunch and had our food. Then we ordered drinks through the app and we felt that it took a while so my partner went over to the bar and waited until other customers were served and once his turn, he asked the bar staff that he was ordered drinks through the app maybe 20-30 mins ago and waiting for drinks. What the bar staff did was checking one of the screens and said it's only 18 mins. My partner asked him politely and did not understand his attitude. As we saw part of the drink order was already done, my partner asked for the last drink that was not yet made. He then said he would not serve my partner because "he is a cock". Shockingly felt this is not how we expect someone to treat us in such a rude manner nor we ever treat people impolitely. My partner was upset and went back to the table as he did not understand what he did wrong nor was impolite to this rude staff. Another friend of us went over to the bar and said he did not know what happened and if we could have our drinks as we already ordered and paid for it and the response from the rude staff was "That's the last thing he would do". So I went over to the bar myself and asked for the rest of the drinks as its all been paid for. The manager told me if I was part of this table, she would refuse to serve. In the end, I asked for a refund which she did. I don't know if the truth was told by the bar staff, I did ask the manager to check CCTV to see who was rude. It still left me in shock to hear a staff called a customer "a cock"! Up til now, we still don't know what we did wrong. All we asked was to have our drinks which we have ordered and paid for. Excellent customer service!

Avoid! The venue has a stale odour. The kitchen couldn't get a simple order right. The chips were far to greasy and very small portions. The manager refunded my whole order which I appreciated, and deserved.

My husband and I recently visited Wetherspoon, and our experience was incredibly disappointing. We ordered two beers and an Aperol. While my husband was served his beer, I was refused the Aperol because, according to the staff, I didn't look over 18 years old (I'm 24). None of my electronic documents were accepted as proof of age. We decided to sit on the terrace, and I took two sips of my drink before a female waitress approached us, took all of the beers away, and issued a refund. However, the refund was only for the full beers; they did not refund the partially consumed one. Frustrated, we went home to get my physical documents and returned to the establishment, hoping to enjoy our time together. But the evening was already ruined when we were flat-out refused service, despite now having my ID. The female staff members working there were utterly incompetent, while the man at the bar had no issues with us. It’s a shame how a simple outing was turned into such a negative experience due to the lack of professionalism from these women.

My recent experience at Wetherspoon was truly disappointing. After reading several negative reviews, I was hoping they were isolated incidents, but unfortunately, I encountered the same poor service. The staff seemed uninterested and unprofessional, which made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority here, as several of my requests were either ignored or met with rude responses. It’s frustrating to see that many others have had similar experiences, yet no improvements have been made. I expected better from a well-known chain like Wetherspoon. I won’t be returning anytime soon and would advise others to look elsewhere if they want to enjoy their meal in a welcoming environment.

**Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs** I recently visited this Wetherspoon location, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a pub. The service was absolutely abysmal—staff were rude, unhelpful, and seemed completely uninterested in doing their jobs. It took forever to get served, and when I finally did, the staff acted like they were doing me a favor. The entire place had a terrible smell, making it incredibly unpleasant to stay there. It honestly felt like the place hadn't been cleaned properly in ages. To make matters worse, the toilets were disgusting—dirty, poorly maintained, and just added to the overall awful atmosphere. I won't be coming back and would strongly advise others to steer clear of this place. There are far better pubs in the area where you'll be treated with respect and can enjoy a clean, welcoming environment.

Went in for breakfast last week , several things I ordered were unavailable, so thought I would try again this week ordered traditional breakfast for my husband with bacon well done it came , not well done , ordered fiesta brunch for myself , was cold and missing the hallumi , I told a staff member who apologised and said he would get it for me , it never arrived , never going back to this branch again 😡

Suffered racist abuse from staff after Englands defeat in the Euros. The managers present refused to pass the name of the individual responsible, therefore I’m left with no choice but to pass this onto London metropolitan police service, and Wetherspoons head office. Not a good idea to shout at women and kids is it ? Footballs never coming home

Would leave zero stars if I could. My family went to enjoy the match and after England’s humiliating defeat, the bartender felt it appropriate to hurl racist abuse towards my Latin family, they’re not even Spanish but I wouldn’t expect a smooth brained individual who works in a pub to be able to tell the difference. He shouted at my auntie and nephew to the point where my 5 year old nephew was crying. Wetherspoons being a company that promotes diversity and inclusivity, I am absolutely appalled by the behaviour of their staff. I have made a report to the police and will be following this up very closely. I will also be contacting Wetherspoons head office to ensure that the employee receives some sort of disciplinary action. To my utter dismay, the managers present refused to provide me with the name of the racist bartender. They’re clearly trying to shelter one of their own. You can expect a visit from me when I return from abroad. We’ll see how racist you are to a man’s face. Absolutely DISGUSTING. This is precisely the reason England will never bring home a trophy.

An utterly grim 'Spoons. Very large car park outside which is repurposed as an outside space, but you cannot avoid smokers. Very poor ale selection, only "old man" ales. Poor lagers, like Carling etc, went for Stella, but pleasantly surprised by the £3.99 price.

This is your normal whetherspoons pub, cheap and cheerful. Portion size are not the biggest. As they also say you get what you paid for. The food could have been hotter, you couldn't wait too long to eat it or it would be cold. Service was quick enough, staff were friendly. As a quick bite to eat, it does the job.

Update: Went again today a few years after my previous review, the pub seemed a lot more crowded, The food was really good still but the food service was just OK, a smile would be nice. Another great Wetherspoon's pub. Went in there for Fish and Chips on Friday, ordered the food and drinks from their Mobile app, saves queuing at the bar. Both the drinks and food came very quickly, and I must say the food and drinks are exceptional value for money, with the prices they charge you'd expect the food to be rubbish, it's not. The service was great as were the staff. Also the toilets were very clean and modern, I think that is always nice to know. I highly recommed this pub. It's cheap as chips. The food is the usual wetherspoons standard, cheap but as a result not great and often dry and overcooked. A large seating area outside which is very good. Table service through the app. Filled with locals

I came here with my family and the pub had a good atmosphere. Our food was delicious! I think the Chefs name was ‘Elle’ she came out to tell us to enjoy our food and also to introduce herself which I thought was very nice of her. Lovely staff!

Went today 7th August met by a loud mouth pushy barmaid who was dam right rude Didnt have the correct facts of a situation but called me rude. We were at the bar, no one else there, being served by a NICE young girl 2 guys came shouting their order we got left and then the loud mouth barmaid pushed her way in, contradicting herself and taking the till that was being used for our order stating theres 3 other tills GO AND USE THEM THEN!!!! I m shouting.this barmaid out as she caused embarrassment lets do the same to her... if read, she knows it was her i suggest you ask your manager for training in hospitality as she is the worst rude barmaid and lets the others down thanks to the lady manager who listened

Had a great meal with my son. What can i say other than we both enjoyed our meals and it was very reasonably priced looking forward to going back for more.

The food was amazing and tasted fresh, we didn't have to wait long. My aunt recommended I will definitely eat there again.

I ordered Vegetarian Brunch and they brought me Bacon and Pork Sausages with Egg beans and Chips when I went to complain they said it was a mistake and told we can get you a vegetarian brunch which I did order or we can give you the refund and then I was told I was rude and all the staff got together and I was asked to finish and Leave I explained them it was an insult to me and they didn't care I will never go back again

Atmosphere loud, vibrant, inclusive ...love it. The food is excellent value for money the actual food is ok. I had a curry, but breakfast here is second to none and I could eat two at a time.

At first the service was fine but as I continued to visit and buy food the some management or managers became deceitful. I took pictures of my food for proof. They tried to sell me small fish and chips when I paid for a larg portion. I've been to many weatherspoons for many years and this was an insult of my intelligence. I refused the food and gave the staff one last chance ,TheyTheycouldn'tcorrect it.

What can I say , clean , pleasant, reasonable priced and fast service . If you are acquainted with weatherspoons pubs it's one of there better ones . The 5 stars are because it over achieved but its an average pub with average food but if you are expecting chef 👨‍🍳 prepared quality food you would give it one star , a curry and trimmings for a fiver says it all but for the level that they aim for they do a great job .

I used to work opposite in Windsor House when this Wetherspoons opened in 1993. Back then it was a breath of fresh air as far as a lunchtime pint! (The Norbury Hotel was dire - on one occasion three of my colleagues went down with food poisoning when they ate there.) Once the Spoons opened, everyone from the office went there. I remember the fish and chips was £1.40. Amazingly, this Spoons still offers a great deal on fish and chips as their 'Afternoon Deal': Mon-Fri, 2pm-5pm with small freshly battered fish and chips + soft drink for £5.20, or alcoholic drink £6.50.

The service is very poor and the manager doesn't really care

A lovely pub on London Road in Norbury. Very clean and tidy with some booths down one side a mixture of high and low tables down the centre. There is also a space along the front with tables as well. The Guinness was excellent as was the Daleside Santa's Progress. A word of caution though: please ask permission before taking photos in this pub. A fair request I think. They're very polite and helpful. They don't take offence, just explain the situation.

Chips under cooked and dry meat with no sauce to it, The decor is very very tired and dirty,it definitely needs to be updated and would be nice if the cocktail jugs are a little less watered down.
