Good quality food. Good Service.

Been using this place since I was a kid, really great friendly owner and great food.

Food was cold and had sweated in bag, wrong size chips. Tracked delivery and he had been heading in wrong direction for 10 minutes. All in all very disappointing.

Plaice nice and hot and freshly cooked.

Absolutely rubbish the fish was so greasy the paper was stuck to it . The pickled gherkins taste like the gone off. Was disgusting.

A portion of chips at 2 in the afternoon should be fresh. Absolutely awful, please remove "Traditional" from your signage! Greasy, bits of chips stewed in oil. Shockingly bad! Explains why ther is no food above the fryers, obviously the locals know it's a place to avoid. Sad.

Customer service poor. Handled food with his hands and then touch money and card machine, which is not hygienic. Reacts negatively if you pay card instead of cash. It was very negative first experience so I won’t be going back. Shouldn’t be 5 star on food hygiene to be honest.

got takeaway haddock, 1/2 the size of last time I visited a few weeks previously... same price though. benefit of the doubt and will try again and see what happens next time.

My experience differs from most of the other reviewers. First time trying here as Happy Dolphin was closed. The large cod was so thin I can't believe its actual fish. The batter is crispy & the fish cooked fresh but the oil is so old & thats all you can taste. The chips although are made from potatoes half of them are so thin & crispy, theyre inedible! Watery mushy peas completed a really average meal. £11 for fish & chips of this quality is criminal!

We ordered large fish and chips from here for home delivery and the chips was burnt and rock hard. Never again

We had a delivery and it was very good. They don't do small chips, so watch out, but we enjoyed the medium chips. My wife had the fish dish and she enjoyed this very much, and I had a couple of sausages in batter. So a sausage supper for me. I am currently suffering from a major illness so I have found that my taste buds have changed a lot, but I did enjoy the food from the Fish House.

Good food friendly atmosphere

Sat in there for almost an hour after ordering 2 portions of chips and didn't get them. Everyone got served before me that came after me😔

The fish....cod...was nice. The chips were under cooked, I cooked them in my oven for 15 mins.... The mushy peas were liquid, very watery.... Quite disappointed,as I have eaten in there before and enjoyed it.... I won't have a delivery from there again...

A poor service from a less than cheerful owner. This purchase was absolutely awful! It looked like it had been scraped off a left over plate! There was only a half cod roe with a bashed up bit of batter! I did ring and was told not to bother bringing it back that he'd look after us next time? No mate! There wont be a next time, that's not how you run a buisness. You charged us full price for these plates of muck, that's our hard earned money! I am going to report your chippy to Croydon Council because that food looked like it could make us sick.

Confused ! I have used this Fish House regularly. How ever every time it comes to paying the bill. I am always told to pay cash because the contact less machine does not work. There are times I don’t carry cash. I think they are taking cash only to avoid income tax. Has anyone else experienced this issue ? I have now stopped buying my Fish and Chips from this outlet and warn others to insist on paying by card or contactless transactions.

not the first time I have ordered from fish house and usually very good but tonight very disappointing fish was virtually non existent and chips seemed to be cut from baby potatoes and both tasted as though it was cooked 12 hours earlier. Most of the chips were left and the fish batter was hard. Not at all appetizing.

The food was not very fresh like it normal is chips where hard and the fish was very oily not like the food normally is.

Great service wonderful food cooked well you could tell it was freshly made and not sitting for a long time in the warmer! Excellent food! Only thing I will moan about is that they don’t give you the option to buy the onion vinegar bottle like they do in the restaurant.

The food came one hour 40 minutes late.the chips and fish were soggy and cold. Seriously how can i pay and get a lower standard food after working as a NHS front line key staff custome service did not help.I phone the restaurant the owner was rude and nasty when I told him the driver brough the food very late and I can't accept it he said not to call here again and hanged up. This is unbelievable and disgusting .please I need my full refund.

The driver got lost, the food was cold and soggy the rock fish was small cold and weird shape. Really regret my order and wont order again.

The Haddock was beautifully fresh and really tasty. Chips were lovely, too. I expected the fish and chips to be a bit cold by the time they were delivered, but they weren't at all. Well done to the delivery person for arriving so quickly and keeping the food hot! Also, I got everything I asked for - not every restaurant gets it right. I will definitely use you again.
