order was over 2 hrs delayed!!! I called the restaurant and the man who answered the phone was rude and just yelling at me down the phone. will not be using this app and the restaurant again. very disappointed!

Food was good, but not very warm, which was a shame

really upset I've just started using this place because the chips were lovely and the pies were perfect but I've been let down the chip's were lovely but the pies have been sitting under the heat lamp far too long l struggled to cut my pie as the pastry was to hard and there was far too much pepper in it so l couldn't eat it so it went in the bin and I'm still hungry and wasted £5.50. not happy

just received my order and I'm shocked 😲 the size of the fish was smaller than a tin of coke for £11.50. sorry you are taking the michael. worse order ever.

I recently bought chips from Frydays, and I was quite disappointed with the quality. The chips had a strong, unpleasant smell of old oil, which made them taste off. It was clear that the oil wasn’t fresh, and this really affected the overall flavor. The taste was very different from what I expected, and not in a good way. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying food from this place. I hope they can improve their cooking standards, especially when it comes to using fresh oil, as it would make a big difference in quality.

It’s a very nice place and very excellent customer services. Their fish and chips is so yummy and l will highly recommend this place. You can dine in and also do take away. Very clean and cozy place not very hard to locate near the road plus child friendly. Check it out when you in the area.

Had to cancel the order as issues with the delivery. Very poor service from Just Eat!

Top notch welcome, top hygiene. I'm not much of a fish person but the fish and ships was very good for my part I had a double burger which was very good. I recommend!

We’ve been coming here for years. It is the best fish and chips! The fish is always fresh. The customer service is excellent. It is hugely popular in the area and long may it stay!

The food is just not nice at all, it's so raw, I ask for well-done chips I got dry and raw, I previously ordered cod and the batter at the top was done and the bottom was raw the food also has a bad smell to it. The only this is good Is the portion, I'm sorry i had that made me chuckle a bit o are you telling me which fish and chips shop i walked into, take some accountability and stop acting deluded.

Recently dine there, i have never tried a taste like that, the food was so fresh and well cooked, atmosphere was very nice, staff was amazing, nice setting, highly recommended

Visiting from the US, was craving some fish & chips so my uncle took my mother and I here. It hit the spot for sure! Best fish & chips I've had in nearly a decade at least, and the staff are nothing short of lovely. Highly suggest if you're looking for a good eat and great ambiance from lovely people. 5 stars!

I tracked delivery and the driver did not take a direct route. My meal arrived late, not to heat and soggy. I’m very disappointed. I’ll have to throw most of it away.

Lovely chunky chips & fish. I specially called for extra salt and vinegar on the chips. I received neither hence the 4 stars. Still would recommend & use again.

The Large cod was non existent. The batter was a huge bubble all along the fish giving the impression that the fish was nice and big. Unfortunately it was just AIR with a small didum inside that was fish. I think the chef must have made a mistake and picked up a piece of bite size fish because this was not a LARGE fish portion. I shared half with my daughter and when I cut the fish in half it was just a huge air bubble. I am very disappointed, fortunately I had ordered onion rings and peas which helped fill us up - but I was still hungry after eating. The jacket potatoe did not have sufficient cheese although cheese was added. it was dry. Normally I give good reviews for this cuisine but today has been disappointing. In fact we are all still hungry and so I will have to cook something myself. I don't think I had value for my £46.00 expenditure today and I am most displeased.

I have known this restaurant for decades, always clean and professional. I have always been delighted with the taste of their food. The pies are well filled and moist really mouthwatering. I have just bought six pies for the family which I will serve with a salad. Its treat night.

Very nice chips… but the fish isn’t great. Bit on the soggy and flavourless side. Hope they change that. Halal so that’s a bonus.

A pleasure to see eaten here, the people very friendly and the food delicious. You can tell that they make it on the spot, the perfect service 👌 👍. Well decorated place, very clean kitchen. And a pleasant place to talk quietly. I don't usually give 5 stars only to places that deserve it and this is one of them.

My first time visiting this place the staff are very friendly and welcoming the food is well advertised on the menu and reasonably priced and freshly cooked which l liked will definitely go back for seconds without any doubt

You can tell that the quality of the fish is good. They also make it fresh and chips were on point too. It's pretty close the quality of Kennedys in Streatham but this is a little pricier. I'd also suggest they keep & offer onion vinegar. Also a traditional chippie doesn't give salad. Keep it classic, otherwise very good.

Used to visit often when I worked locally, popped in again for a sit down supper and we were not disappointed, lovely food and surroundings, great service.

Everything was warm and it was all very tasty. Generous portions.

Frydays fish and chips bar has a great sit-in atmosphere. The food is fresh and always consistent. They have an extensive menu.

the guy almost had a fight with young kids because he didn’t let them go to the toilet honestly how is that even fair fighting young kid because over using the toilet

Had delivery fish is very good but chips £4:50 no good as I've got no real potato only crunchy end bit so avoid ordering chips as looks like leftovers is given away in my order Sorry for this not happy with my order not worth the amount paid.

Fish was sold as large but obviously wasn't. Also a quarter of the fish was missing and disguised with empty batter. Been going for years so surprised by bad quality and considering both fish and chips cost over £18 it was very very disappointing.

Food was late and had gone up in price from £26 to £34 for the exact same order I placed previously. Restaurant when I phoned said the food was ready keeping warm but there were no drivers. Eventually arrived, cold, as it would be, the batter was rock hard and the chips cold and soggy. Total rip off. Very disappointing.

Stopped off to see if this place did a good fish n chips and left with buyers remorse. Dining in was more expensive and really not worth it. Service was good, server was pleasant and friendly but dining experience wasn't great. Background music was very annoying 😒 and caused me a headache. Portions were massive but batter too thick and tastless. Wouldn't go back and wasted money checking it out.

Shambolic customer service. Ordered chips and asked to be packed in two separate bags. The man asked me rudely to pack my own chips and put my own sauces. He was willing to pack all other customers requests as normal. This was very embarrassing for me as there was customers behind watching. Absolute joke customer service and then has the audacity to say you used all my sauce. Avoid at all costs Really bad customer service experience!

worker was incredibly rude and spoke to me abhorrently. the food was average and the prices are a joke. if you want soggy food then you know where to come.

The portions were small, HUGELY overpriced and largely flavourless. The gravy tasted like watery Bisto the mushy peas were basic. Curry sauce was lovely. I ordered a large cod which was small at best, the batter was not traditional and was soggy. Large cod and chips, Scampi on it's own a gravy, a mushy peas and a curry sauce and 2 pickled eggs came to almost £50. Absolutely shocking price consider the flavourless soggy mess that arrived.

The large chips portion was barely enough for one person. They fill the container with salad so that it looks full but all it does is make the few chips they give soggy. We ordered the haddock and it was the size of my palm and grilled instead of unbattered. Honestly the prices do not reflect the portions and very disappointing. Only reason we ordered from them was because our chippy was closed and pregnant misses was craving chips

Just eat alone, there delivery service is so poor

The batter is almost a separate entity from the fish. It manages to be soggy and hard at the same time. Staff on duty didn’t listen to me and I had to repeat myself three times.

The food arrived nice and piping hot. The food was not oily. It was tasty and the portion size was very good. I was very happy with my order. Thank you very much.

We enjoy the fish and chips here. The service is good as well. The pickled onions were not good though.

I love the food frome here. Everything made to order, fresh and delicious.

Sadly the fish was smaller than the battery by nearly a third and it was very oily.

First time order from this establishment and I think probably the last. I always strive to be honest so here it goes. Regular cod very small and thin,I don’t think I’ve ever had as smaller piece of fish from any of the other local chippies. Chips were quiet soggy which surprised me as the delivery only took 8 mins door to door. Curry sauce was very pale and watery and not of the consistency you would normally expect. I was looking to this food based on the reviews I read but in my case the food didn’t live up to my expectations at all. Disappointed! ☹️
