Fish was freshly fried but the batter is absolutely tasteless taste of nothing chips were ok ordered for home delivery

This is our go to fish and chips in the local area, have been a patron for over twenty years and always top quality food. Only downside is they are cash only so need to visit the cash machine on the walk to the shop.

Food looked amazing on their Instagram page which made me go but then the quality of chips I got were not the same most were like small crunchy bits.. But the fish was great did really enjoy that.. Also the guy who served me could of been a little more friendly as I tried to make conversation and told him it was my first time coming to the shop.. Wasn't really bothered.. Just more attention to customer service would of been nice.

It’s a nice place but was not happy to hear u have to pay £1 for a tub of chilli source normally it’s free everywhere so I think I would not go back it’s put me off

Gut busting amounts, lovely golden brown batter cod chunky smooth chips, amazing value and friendly & flexible service. I ordered incorrectly and solved problem without fuss! thanks I will be back, once I can move again, whew im sooo full up!!

Excellent fish and chips, with prompt delivery. They deliver to hotels in Croydon central. Varied menu and all of their products are top notch. Why don't you give them a try. The food is presented in a cardboard box, and is normally very hot.

First time ordering and it’s now going to be my “go to”. Food was fresh, hot and so delicious. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve had. Fish had FLAVOURS, and you can’t beat proper chip shop chips with lots of salt and vinegar.. will 10000% be ordering again

This is a clean takeaway with a couple of tables. Staff are nice, chips are made from fresh potatoes. Fish was good but a little expensive. Burger was good too. It's halal.

Had lunch here. Staff were polite and friendly. The cod had a nice crispy batter and the inside was succulent. Premises were clean. Would definitely visit again next time I'm in the Croydon area.

Don't go for open portion of chips..... Come in a box ..... what a rip off Will go in again and see how much difference if I get em wrapped up

Been ordering from here for over a year and the chips are mostly always perfect! Its a shame that they have reduced the quality of their chicken fillet strips from actual freshly battered chicken fillets to using cheap frozen breaded formed chicken strips. Very disappointed.

Very good quality food if only all customer service wasn't so poor. Everything I visit with my male counterpart, there's attention paid to the order and extra smiles however as a woman he gets my orders wrong missing the extra vinegar, and even going as far as to make me wait for 25mins for chips and chicken as he served the local male customers who have just walked in. Found out that its a common thing apparent from other locals. Not okay 😕

Lived in the area all my life, first time ordering from Mr.chippy and i can confidently say ill be a regular! The fish was absolutely delicious. So fresh. Good size portion of well cooked chips to go with. Lovely food!

If you are looking for some great fish and chips, you should definitely stop here. Big portions for the money and the food was very tasty. I talked to the owner while I was here and he was really friendly and inviting.

Ordered chips, cod, battered sausage and wings. The rest is OK but the chips are stingy and the chicken wings are awful. They are small and the coating is rubbish, in fact the wings have been overfried and burnt. They are as dry as the Sahara Desert. So annoyed as was looking forward to large tender chicken wings! 🤨

I have been here few times and I become mr chippy sick. The food quality and the portion very good. Tasty and fresh. Love it love it love it 😍

The quality and quantity of the food was pathetic.The saveloy was like a skinny frankfurter.The spiced cod firsttly was small not worth £8.50 on just eat however on their menu it is £8 yet they have all these extra charges paper bag not even a plastic bag was sent with the food,a charge for service fee when I am not even eating at their restaurant so what service are they really giving...beats me...i dont know and to top it off the cod was like a baby fish brooken in 3 pieces to fool us it was big jas we ordered large size but got a small fish cut up and spread in the box to show it was large.the hot wongs were like lil bone with no chicken on it with some fried batter crumbs and looked like it was burnt and cooked in stale oil.The food was a nightmare and will defintely not order from them.This is the worst experince from this restaurant.

I have been to this shop a few times and love the food they have a good selection of food although I've only had the fish & chips which were very tasty and reasonably priced. Also I must add that the workers there are very friendly and have good customer service they take good care of customers. Highly recommended.

Have been going to Mr Chippy for a number of years now. The 3 key 'ingredients' for me are: 1. The food is always top quality 2. The service is always good 3. The prices are very reasonable On top of this, they offer a good range of food with some great value family and meal deal combinations.

I don’t usually fancy fish and chips, however this place right here has changed my whole opinion on the stuff. I had myself a large Cod and Chips the other day and had to let the people know what they’re missing out on. Food was fresh and the Cod is quality, the owner is absolutely hilarious too, right geezer to have a laugh with.
