Over priced, dated, staff were ok PA system as much use as a chocolate tea pot

Was at a Christening here very recently, haven't been in until now. Lovely decor, reasonably priced and warm feel to it! Would drink here again for sure, Lovely staff too! It looks great all done up as NE28 bar.

Had a private party in the ground floor function room. Great venue/room. Really good night.

Ordered a take out Sunday lunch today and it did not disappoint! Beef was absolutley gorgeous and rest of the dinner was just as nice. Would definitley recommend for a traditional home made dinner.

My daughter had her wedding here all day/night. Very disappointed with the venue/owner. The buffet provided was fit for a childs party. Paid extra for a seafood platter, my god £50 and was seriously disgusted in the poor selection on the platter for the price. Seen better platters on marketplace for half the price. My daughter was allowed in the night before to set up. They virtually had everything set up then to be told at 7.50pm (we had till 8pm to finish) that we weren't allowed to have anything fixed to the wall.....we had a backdrop and balloon arch already set up. The owner was nowhere to be seen. I told them not a chance would it be coming down and if he didn't want anything on the walls then those instructions should have been given on booking etc and during communications beforehand. I didn't take it down and told the bar person that if it was removed there would be serious bother. It was still up thankfully! They also told her it would be £30 for a bottle of Prosecco for the wedding toasts. THIRTY POUND!!! They sell it in Asda for £6.95 a bottle. She's didn't go ahead with it but was told she wasn't allowed to bring her own as they would suffer financial loss. On the wedding her father happened to be standing at the bar and someone was buying a bottle for their table, they were charged £17.95 for the bottle. He did purchase 10 for his daughter but I was outraged that he wanted to charge her £30 per bottle!!! Disgusting!!! The room itself smelt damp and wasn't that clean. The tables were sticky, the bar was dirty and understocked for the amount of people there (approx 120) the drink prices were also marked up for the event. The attitude of the bar staff was questionable, considering how much this venue cost overall including the extra cost for the bottles of Prosecco we should have been given a more professional service and attitude. My daughter didn't get all of her decorations etc back either and when they questioned it she was told that was all they had and the room was cleared for another venue on the Sunday morning. I would never recommend this venue. Utter disgrace. I have been a landlord of a local pub myself so I know what should be expected of a venue and what should be delivered. Sadly this was not the case here. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Not good when all the draught lagers and beers run dry at 8.30 on a saturday night

Never again. A party of 9 of us had a table booked tonight, when we got there nbsat down there was children running all over the place, lying on the chairs and so loud. The table was very sticky and the cutlery was filthy. We waited n waited to b served with drinks and our meal orders and nobody came. It was a total disgrace and certainly will never go back.

What can I say, Has to be the most expensive bar I've been in for soft drinks( same price as a pint, for even a smaller glass)

Had a good night fri and sat good atmosphere nice people

Place food order. Waited 45 mins for my hisbands order to come. We had to ask for other 2 starter which arrived 15 mins later. VERY VERY noisy . Children running around unsupervised. Its a real shame as other peoples food looked really nice. Lady at till very apologetic and asking if we would call again. Mm not sure i would risk it again

Went to party there was told they put 50p on the price of drinks for party's also 10 - 15 min wait in queue +drinks were warm

Second visit to this place.went on Sunday for a roast dinner.£7.95 for 2 courses.soup or potato skins.i had the skins.got plenty with 2 dips with a bit salad.for mains you have 3 choices of meat.chicken.beef or lamb.i had lamb with mash.turnip cabbage.peas roast potatoe.just the right amount to eat.i thoroughly enjoyed my meal.friendly staff an they bring your meal to the table nice an clean as well.

Good food. Never busy. Atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired though. And, the menu is quite limited.

Fab night everyone had a great time. Lot of hard work went into the night. Not laughed so much in a long time.

Party here with family for a christening. Absolute shambles, party still was good but the attitude of the owner/manager was horrendous. The person who the organiser booked the party with laid down rules which were followed to the letter then to arrive the day before to have the manager/owner go down her throat about how she had done this and that, which she had been told she could do, as if it was all her fault. Then to add insult to injury, the day of the event, the place was supposed to be opened up early to add finishing touches, and was still locked untill 10:45 with the christening starting at 11. Fortunately the organiser still managed to pull off a great day but this venue added allot of undue stress and worry, right at the last moment. We're also told that we would have the room untill 9-10 to be then told at 10 to 7 we had to be out by 7. All this and when everyone arrived for the party, the bar was very poorly stocked, and only one member of staff on the bar. Would strongly suggest finding somewhere better if you are planing a function or party.

Stay away, if you book function room don't expect your deposit back. I wish I would have taken the advice of all the bad reviews!

Service was very good but the lasagne didn't meet expectations some meat would have made the difference with the pasta

First time I had been here and I wasn't disappointed staff are really nice food was brilliant nice atmosphere to sit and have a meal will definitely be going back probably make it a regular thing loved it totally recommend this place for people to go it definitely has the Italian feel

The lunchtime special is definitely worth the money. Pizzas have a lovely thin base with plenty of filling. Just a shame this restaurant is not busier as it's a place that once experienced you will definitely return to. Our waitress Selina was very pleasant and attentive but not in your face. Was there when we needed her but gave us plenty of time to make our choices. Would definitely recommend.

Went here one sunday with the family, lovely food & service, a real family place, very friendy. A bouncy castle outside in a closed safe place for the kids to play. lovely bar area to sit before & after your meal. And the sunday dinner was spot on.....

Absolutely love this place, so lucky to live 2 minutes away! The roast on a Sunday is my favourite but can't fault the daily special either. Great staff too.

A warm, friendly place, with attentive and welcoming staff. There is a restaurant incorporated in part of the building providing a reasonably priced, tasty menu.
