The Miners Arms in Derbyshire Dales

I'd just like to thank the staff, they were all very friendly, courteous and welcoming. The food was excellent and we had a perfect stay. A big thankyou to you all.

Just returned from a great 2 night stay. I'll get the 1 negative point out the way. The rooms were dated and could deffo do with a few quid being spent on them. That said, they were comfortable and had everything you'd expect. What more than made up for that was the food, drinks and especially the staff. The food was very good albeit very generous in portion size. The draft ale was great and the wine I had was very drinkable. The staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and attentive. We'd like to give a special mention to Dani who was amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to visit again soon.

Stopped off for a working lunch and sat outside. The food was fantastic as was the service.

This Pud is in a quaint English village, with great food great Beers on tap and great Staff fully encourage you taste it for yourselves Pete

Beautiful country pub, super service, lovely atmosphere. We only went to drink, so cannot comment on the hotel side but I'm m sure it's a pleasant stay

We both had a roast and it was lovely. Portions were a bit big for us but we never eat too much so that's normal. Service was good. Staff were kind. It is also dog friendly, even for big dogs like ours.

Very cute country pub. Perfect stopover for lunch or for a drink after one of the Eyam walks.

Warm, smiley & friendly welcome. Nice beer garden & decent pint of some local ale to quench the thirst after a stunning walk around the tops of Eyam!

Came for Sunday Lunch - was not disappointed. Attentive staff and absolutely amazing food . Roast beef dinner flavoursome and so tasty 10/5 ! Pie moist and tasty too. Cheesecake a delight . Highly recommended !!!!

Great little pub / b&b. Stayed here as a solo traveller for 2 nights and nothing to complain about! Nice, clean room and bathroom overlooking the rear car park ( keep an eye on my motorbike ). Food, both evening and breakfast was excellent. Last, but certainly not least, ALL of the staff were very professional and deserve the highest praise! Cheers

Had a lovely evening meal in the Miners arms. Walked in a managed to secure a table without booking, good friendly quick service and top quality food. I had a lovely vegetable soup to start and the tuna steak for main course. Decent sized portions and a nice atmosphere.

Great beer. Steak and ale pie, with mushrooms, was actually mushroom pie with traces of steak. Tasted great though.

Absolutely Amazing! The staff are so so friendly and welcoming, the food was fantastic I had an absolutely wonderful time staying here. The room was very clean, had everything needed, it truly was a delight. Fantastic location for exploring the Peak District and this wonderful little village.

We have just been for an evening meal and it was excellent. Really fresh, generous portions and perfectly cooked. Everyone is really friendly with excellent service. Really good value for money and we would definitely return. Highly recommended!

Had a lovely evening meal. Was in the area for a weekend getaway so didn't realise it was best to book but we were able to get a table which was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and was great the pub was dog friendly.

Lovely little pub, nice open fire, good choice of local ales and the food was incredible. All home made and beautifully presented, clean plates from me , my husband and our two kids. Bonus that dogs are welcome, our little one relaxed by the fire while we ate after a lovely local walk. Super friendly staff, they could not do enough for you. If we are in the area again we will definitely return. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

A real amazing homley stay. Typical country pub B&B. Dogs allowed! Perfect. I had dinner in the evening, which was the best steak n ale pie I've ever tasted in my life. Breakfast in the morning was very tasty & served up by amazing staff.

Fantastic pub in the famous plague village of Eyam ! Definitely worth a visit, didn't eat but the food looked amazing

Ok, rooms are a little bit small and you can hear what is going on in the neighbours room 🤭 Apart from that, the place is fantastic! Dog lovers will be delighted. Visited for Sunday lunch, yesterday Dec 29th 1.30pm, arrived early and it was no problem. The two young girls who served us were phenomenal, they were friendly, courteous and professional. They were knowledgable about gluten free food and offered me a huge range to choose from. The meal was lovely, good portions and the gluten free gravy was excellent. I forgot to ask before I left how they make it, it was that good! I’m also still thinking about those roast potatoes! We live about an hour drive away and I wouldn’t hesitate to drive to Eyam again to eat here.

The welcome was genuinely warm and friendly, we were shown to our room in an adjoining cottage. The room itself was warm and comfortable, the style was exactly what you would expect of a country village inn. Comfortable bed, plenty of storage and the amenities needed were all provided, including tea & coffee, nice biscuits and some tasty sweets as a welcoming treat. The pub is old and beautiful - full of character, with a storied history; inside there was a great atmosphere with a mix of locals, residents of the inn, dog walkers and hikers. The staff were pleasant, informative and efficient, an excellent range of beverages including top quality locally brewed ales - Eyam Quarantine golden ale for me and Tempranillo Rosé for my wife. Dinner was very good, tasty, home cooked food, sensibly priced and not too pretentious, which so many pubs try to be. The young serving team were polite and efficient, the food and drinks arrived in good time. Breakfast was delicious, a small but adequate range of cereals and juice, plus hot beverages, toast and condiments. The full English breakfast was superb, we have never had a cooked breakfast served with everything so piping hot! All items were cooked perfectly and nicely presented in plated fashion. The selection was missing a hash brown or similar potato cake though! All in all, a lovely comfortable and relaxing stay. Note: hopefully it is obvious, but I wouldn't want to muslead anyone - some of the images are of nearby Eyam Hall and church, and not the pub!

Really enjoyed our staff at this historic Inn and village.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch and arrived early. This was no problem and we were seated straight away. I had the steak, ale & mushroom pie which was really good; plenty of filling, good quality meat. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. My partner had the chicken and it was very nice too. Friendly service. Great location for anyone staying in Eyam or passing through.

Great stay. Lovely pub and great staff. Interesting locals . Dog friendly as well Rooms a little tired but clean. We really enjoyed our stay and great breakfast. I would happily stay here again

Really nice location. A lot better than I expected for a hotel with rooms above a pub. Super friendly staff (apart from the bloke some others have mentioned in reviews). Nice breakfast. Liked the room a lot, it was clean. Decent electric shower, confortable bed. The pub was nice and cosy.

Had dinner here. The lamb roast was delicious. Would highly recommend.

This pub is lovely and the food is great. The girls who serve you are fabulous. There is one thing wrong with the pub. There is a Middle aged guy who lacks any kind of hospitality or service acumen. He is rude and makes you feel like you shouldn’t dare to ask a question. Well done to everyone else though. Food is brilliant and the rest of the service is amazing. It’s a shame one person spoils the experience

Booked for a meal for six of us to take a weekday lunch following a walk around Eyam. Simply excellent in terms of staff, service, food and ambience.

This place is amazing the food is bang on 100 percent, thanks, cheff this fish was the size of a whale the steak amazing totally recomend

Went for lunch and stayed a while ;) 3 very well kept cask beers. Lamb was great. Mum had a salmon salad, also looked great. Her husband had the roast beef sandwich, also liked it a lot. As a real pie fan I might skip that (based on my "is it a real pie or gravy with a hat") To be fair I've not tried the pie, might be good.

4 of us stayed in Eyam for 2 nights and dined here on both nights, staff were really friendly and helpful food was delicious service was great and prices are reasonable. Would definitely go again when in the area.

Went for dinner here on Saturday 7th. Food was excellent (I had the home made steak and ale pie), service was welcoming and friendly and the local brew - Eyam Brewing's Quarantine - was a lovely drop.

Came back here after visiting after Christmas last year. As always a very good atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to welcome you and provide an outstanding service. The food is always top notch, with good portion sizes. Great value for money. Yum.

We ate here as the other place to eat in was full and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. It was really well priced too. Ii would definitely recommend- we will definitely be going back!

I stayed here day before doing a charity walk in bakewell, the room was very good with more than enough milk tea coffee etc I told the staff about the walk as wouldn't be having the breakfast and would have to check out early, staff went out of their way to help with porridge pot, and even made me a sandwich to take. Evening meal was good value and very well cooked. Room was tidy and well maintained , especially liked the little sweets. Would I stay again certainly xxxx

Came for dinner one evening whilst staying locally. Lovely ambience..attentive and friendly staff Great service and amazing food at a reasonable price. We both had lamb rump with new potatoes and a tureen of vegetables. It was all delicious..lamb soooo tender and flavoursome..veggies cooked perfectly slightly eldante..and the gravy so tasty. We both had bread and butter pudding ..which was so very light served with proper single cream. We had beer and 2 gin n tonics..and bill was £65. Extremely reasonable as had similar meal few nights previously at another local pub which cost £73 and wasn't nearly as tasty and plentiful. Booked to go again tom eve.. Thankyou chef..

We arrived at the miners arms 5 minutes before the kitchen closed at 8.15 looking for food the staff were super friendly and helpful we quickly ordered 2 meals and were served quickly 😀 the food was delicious home made hot and really enjoyable we also shared a pudding chocolate cske and custard also delicious 😋 and enough for the 2 of us this was when England played on Tuesday night 25th June 2024 and the pub was busy so a MASSIVE THANK YOU 😊 we are very grateful and glad we popped in and found this little gem ...we didn't have any cash on us to leave a tip and my partner did not keep the receipt so I have no idea if there is a service charge included I really hope there was I am sorry if it isn't included and am very sorry I was cashless as they definitely deserve a big tip hence the least I could do was write this review and the score I give the miners arms is out of 10 a massive 11 thanx again tracey and paddy super happy customers 😀

Super stop with excellent room, food, beer, wine and service. Also, lovely tearoom to visit in the village. Don't miss the plague window in the church.

Very noisy on Sunday evening as a quiz was taking place with about half a dozen people. One drink and left sadly.

Eyam is a hidden gem. Everybody in the village is very friendly. The Miners Arms is a picturesque tavern The staff are, as all in Eyam, very friendly and ready to help. Our room was cozy and well-appointed. All the evening and breakfast meals were of excellent quality. To sum up, Eyam is a great central location for hikers or a place to unwind.

Top notch food , I would give more stars if I could. Everything was done to perfection 👌

Lovely food, great staff, and managed to take care of a booking for 15 with no problems at all.

As a rather large group, with children and a dog, the food and service was excellent, shall definitely return in the future.

Great food, friendly service and local beer. Sandwiches were very good quality and good value. Would recommend eating in the bar where there is a lovely open fire.

Our party of four had a lovely lunch here. We had four separate meals, all delicious, beautifully presented and very generous portions. Our deserts were just the right size to follow a large meal - Bakewell pudding & custard - lovely. Bakewell best bitter went down a treat. Staff were really nice too.

Overnight stay after visit to Chatsworth house. Be careful if using satnav,found it quite difficult to find in the dark,went round the village a couple of times before we found it! Plenty of parking at the rear. Very friendly and helpful staff, the room was nice and warm with very comfortable beds,only drawbacks were that room was quite tired looking but it does look like they are a work in progress! The food offering was very good,both the evening meal and the breakfast were both very enjoyable. Would recommend if you were planning to go to Chatsworth house as only about 15 minutes drive.

We stayed here after visiting Chatsworth House. Really enjoyed our stay. Were given a warm welcome and help with our luggage on arrival. The room and ensuite were well equipped, good, clean and comfortable. The evening menu was very good as was the very tasty breakfast. Good sized carpark too. Will definitely return if in the area again. .

We visited the village for Christmas break, (staying just yards below the pub!). Asked the manager a few weeks before if he was doing a Xmas dinner, and he said they usually did, but hadn't been there long enough to know what was happening. Contacted him again a week before going to ask again. He was opening to family members ,& anybody that was going to be alone. He did recall me asking previously! Told that there would be 4 of us, he kindly said yes we would be welcome!! Sedg, Kate & family members were most welcoming to us & other locals! The meal was fantastic! The pub was well frequented during the week we were there, Log fires, TV with sports on for enthusiasts, lovely menus, live music , and a lively list of upcoming events. Just wish we lived a little closer to enjoy these events. Sedg, the landlord has a terrific sense of fun and good humour. If walking the Peaks this year, make sure you visit this establishment.
