Absolutely brilliant food on Sunday, so friendly and helpful, we took our neighbour and her baby there to celebrate our neighbours birthday, give it a go, you will not be disappointed. Hugh and Lisa Westbury on Trym

Took the wife for a meal at the local pub it was very friendly staff.had a wouldful meal

We often have Sunday lunch here and they never disappoint. Usually 4 choices of meat, a dish of veg, cauliflower cheese as a side, Yorkshire pud, stuffing and crispy roast potatoes. You also get pudding as part of the price. The atmosphere is always welcoming and homely. The service is prompt, friendly and accommodating. For those of you that love traditional home cooked Sunday roast, it’s just the job.

After being a satisfied customer for Sunday lunch for quite a while , it pains me to say I can no longer give them my custom. A fly was found at the bottom of one eton mess pudding. Bringing the staff’s attention to it, the dish was taken away, then nothing… No sorry, offer of money back for said pud. We went to see the staff at the bar, the only reaction was wanting to correct me about the fly, apparently it was a wasp! Am left feeling sick and hoping that was the only wasp or did we inadvertently eat another! A simple sorry at the very least would have sufficed, instead the lady seemingly in charge seemed quite affronted by our discovery.

Absolutely delicious fresh home cooked Sunday Roast. Generous serving with a choice of dessert. Such good value for money. Lovely staff along with Brian the dog. We will be back.

With my dad passing away a few weeks into the new owners moving in, we had the wake there last Friday, food was perfect, friendly staff, service was great made me and the family feel really welcome, so would recommend

Sunday roast which was supposedly a beef Sunday dinner. Fortunately i have never experienced such a poor quality meal in years anywhere and this was not cheap either. 3 miniscule slices of thinly cut beef 2 roast potatoes a half cooked Yorkshire pudding flat as a pancake. Peas that were blanched white and gravy like water. Words to owner don't offer a food menu that you obviously cannot fulfill in every way from presentable wholesome and edible meal

What a comfortable environment, bar tender has a friendly attitude, and is a great place to sit, have a drink, and relax.

The gammon steak I would highly recommend my friend had the steak and ale pie which he said was lovely also

My family were in for lunch today, first time visiting this pub and can only say how impressed we were! The roast was amazing, generous portions and all the veg was fresh and well presented. The pub was spotlessly clean and staff were great! Only wish we’d found this place sooner!

Took the family here for Mother's Day sunday roast, and what a lovely roast it was everything was spot on. Great food, great staff, and will definitely be coming back.

Frozen veg that turned to mush, chips dripping in greasy and not allowed to rest etc. accused of carrying weed and in the middle of eating accused of vaping. Lady behind the bar was friendly enough until we was accused of carrying weed but no one else asked. Once said thanks for the food, not even a response and bad attitude. Then to Interrupt our meal to be told the owners watched us on the camera vaping.. when we was in the middle of eating. I had brought my autistic brother out for food so it defo wasn’t the case. Found we was accused because we’re not local. Wouldn’t return, made us very uncomfortable. Made us regret spending £70.

Absolutely beautifully maintained cask beers here. The best I’ve had in a long time. Lovely bar staff too. A great find of a pub.

Great food, meat was tender, vegetables were not over cooked and all came out lovely and hot. We will be back.

Updating my review: been here many times and it is consistently great. Excellent value for money. The food is delicious and big portions. Proper grub. Good service. Please note: no lunch on Mon or Tue but otherwise open!

Good local Pub. Nice outside space when the sun's out. Right on the edge of Blaise, dog friendly so good for the walking dogs to.

Very rarely go but last time i went on a Tuesday they weren't doing lunch. :/ Dissapointing. Other places to eat out in sea mills are the hideaway (which is overpriced and terrible) or the Cafe on the square (which is usually packed full of old people having tea and cake and sat chatting all day). Lunch should always be available. Especially in a place where you very rarely can go out for lunch.

had a brilliant experience at the mill house,myself and my friend had a 10/10 meal on a thursday evening we enjoyed the atmosphere so much we even stayed for then quiz, will definitely be back next thursday

I recently had a disappointing experience at this pub when I dropped in for lunch with my friend and our children. The menu was really limited and had no allergen information on it. There were hardly any items on it I could eat.....there wasn't even a side salad I could order. When I spoke to the staff they had to message the chef to find out what I could eat as I have a gluten intolerance . As he wasn't there the chef called me to discuss my requirements. Unfortunately, the conversation left a lot to be desired. Upon receiving the call it was clear that the chef had little interest in listening to my feedback about the need for allergen information on the menu or anywhere else that customers could see it. He and was more focused on proving himself right rather than providing quality customer service. He accused me of shouting, which I wasn't. I was speaking loudly as I could barely hear myself over the noise of the traffic driving past the garden and the kids playing. In any feedback process, it is essential for both parties to engage in a constructive dialogue. Regrettably, the chef's attitude did not reflect this. He neglected to acknowledge my concerns or show any willingness to address them. As a result, I made the decision to leave the pub and requested a refund for the food we had already ordered as I will not support an establishment with such rude staff. Customer service is a fundamental aspect of any establishment, and this experience fell far short of what I expected. A sincere commitment to customer satisfaction should be valued over personal ego or the need to be right. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it is crucial for the staff, especially those in management positions such as the chef, to handle complaints with professionalism and a willingness to address the concerns raised. Unfortunately, my encounter with the chef at this pub demonstrated a significant lack of these essential qualities. I would have appreciated a more receptive and understanding approach to my feedback. Instead, I left feeling unheard and disregarded, which is not the kind of experience one expects when visiting a pub. In light of this disappointing encounter, I cannot recommend this pub to others who value attentive and respectful customer service. It is my hope that the management of this pub takes this feedback seriously, reevaluates their approach to customer satisfaction, and improves their overall service quality.

Haven't been in the pub for a long while but called in for a dinner last night and it was excellent. The food was really tasty, massive portions and good value. Well worth a visit.

Excellent Sunday lunch as usual. If you're looking for value for money and good honest home cooked food then you've come to the right place. Always a warm welcome and staff are very accommodating. You will have to go a long way to beat this place. My mother and I won't eat anywhere else because the food never dissapoints

My husband and I were there today for a Sunday roast and were extremely disappointed with the quality of food. The service and staff were all excellent and top notch and deserve Congratulations, however the food was absolutely appalling. Vegetables were way overcooked (especially the brussels sprouts), almost melted, the parsnip was completely burned on one side and raw on the other, Yorkshire pudding was half scorched, and the meat (both pork and beef) smelled; there were als only 2 potatoes on each plate. The dessert was very low quality, especially the machine ice cream which stank of gone-of milk. Music was way too loud and didn't fit the pub atmosphere. Will unfortunately not be going back:(

Fantastic Sunday roast today. The pork was cooked to perfection..... proper crackling too !!! Lovely crispy Yorkshire's and top gravy, just like my mum's. I'll be back next week.

Sunday lunch. Wow what a feast. Never seen such a selection of veg for Sunday dinner. Cauliflower and broccoli cheese. Parsnips. Roasties. Mash carrot peas cabbage green beans sprouts and swede. With a big jug of gravey. My beef was lovely and apple tart and custard

Had a fantastic meal today at the Millhouse to celebrate Christmas with my walking friends. Lee went out of his way to make it special, what a great guy! Thank you to him, Tracy and the bar staff.

Our walking group met here for our Xmas lunch today. Superb meal (as was last year too!) . Very enjoyable. Lee and the staff working today are to be commended for making our lunch experience so fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed nice hot curry and chili with half and half, nice chips and well kept ale.

I was skeptical at first because I absolutely love a good roast dinner, that being said… WOW!!! This food has honestly blown me away! The food was cooked to absolute perfection! The portion size was perfect and the cauliflower cheese was incredible! This pub will now be my local for roast dinners when I can’t be bothered to cook one! If anyone is thinking of trying this place but are unsure… TRY IT! You won’t be disappointed!

Just had the most yummy carvery with all the trimmings meat cooked to perfection melts in the mouth and a yummy chocolate fudge cake with ice cream recommend this pub to anyone looking for a carvery staff are very polite too definitely be going again for food

Beware all you real ale drinkers. Read this before you think of going to the Mill House. 16 of us go training on a Monday night nearby and some have a drink afterwards. Monday night some of us went into the Mill House where I ordered a pint of black sheep. Unfortunately, it was the end of the barrel so I had a pint of Otter instead. I took one sip and noticed it was tangy. I walked into the garden and took another sip and realised it was definitely off. I took it back to the bar where firstly the barmaid and then secondly the daughter of the tenants told me I would have to purchase another pint as they would definitely not replace any pint that was off. They went further in telling me that they had been specifically told not to replace any gone off beer. This is unprecedented, and I have never heard of a pub that wouldn’t replace drink that was not fit for purpose. Needless to say none of us will ever return to this pub in what is trying times for their industry with customer retention. I have also made a written complaint to Green King, as I believe the attitude of the person looking after the pub warranted it.

Really nice, welcoming little pub and the food was excellent. I'm Greek Cypriot and the Beef Stifado was really authentic and tasty. So much so that I mentioned it to the waitress to pass on my comments to the chef. We also had the lasagne which was really good. Can recommend both. They have a daily specials board and the pub was clean and tidy with a 5 star food hygiene rating. We were dropping in for lunch after going to Bristol Airport to drop off family.

It's ok for a lunch time drink.

I've eaten here twice, once with my wife and once with a group of 12 walkers. Both times the food was well above average, the service was really friendly and, given how busy the place was, very timely. Good real ale too - bonus!! If, like me you like pub food with some (but not too much) panache, I can recommend the Millhouse without hesitation.

Have had our Christmas works dinner here this evening, and we have had a brilliant service. The food was cooked perfectly and was a very good portion per person. We all had different things from the set Christmas menu and everything was lovely, all plates was empty from stater to dessert. The staff have been friendly and welcoming and always happy to help.

Can't give it the full 5 stars this time as my food presentation was poor, don't get me wrong a blind man would be glad to see it I'm sure and it was ok to eat just the way it was chucked on the plate was disappointing but is it reasonable to complain and further upset yourself I ask you? That aside the front of house staff were excellent, my sister's lasagna must have been excellent she ate the lot. And seasonal guest beer was very nice and the price was fair.
