The Boardroom in Bristol, City of

I attended The Boardroom with some friends today. My friend ordered 2 pints of normal coke which were served without any sugar syrup (meaning they tasted bad). The bar staff didn’t understand what was wrong and gave him the smallest bottles of coke for £8 (biggest rip off). I then put £2 in the game machine and it didn’t do anything. When I asked the bar staff for my money back they refused and said there’s nothing they can do. They simply said the machine was broken (even though it was flashing and encouraging everyone to put money in it). We turned the machine off on the wall to stop this happening to anyone else. They simply loved robbing me and my friends left, right, and centre. The people serving were a man with a cap and a lady (6pm Sat 4th 2024). I used to come here a lot but I will encourage all of my mates not to attend this place anymore due to the staff. Shame because the idea and location of the place is good.

Oh boy, where do I even begin with The Boardroom? If you’re looking for a masterclass in how not to run a bar, this place has you covered. Stopped by with some friends, and one of them ordered two pints of what was supposed to be regular Coke. What we got instead was some fizzy water trash! When we pointed out that the drinks tasted off, the staff looked at us like we’d just asked them to solve a Rubik’s Cube blindfolded. Their brilliant solution? Charge us £8 for two tiny bottles of Coke. Absolute joke of a service. Thinking I could salvage the evening, I decided to try my luck with the game machine. Popped in £2, and…absolutely nothing happened. When I asked for a refund, the staff shrugged and said there was nothing they could do. Meanwhile, the machine kept flashing away, beckoning other unsuspecting patrons to donate to its black hole fund. Until this place figures out how to hire staff who care, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and advising my friends to do the same.

A small cosy place to sit down have some drinks and play some board games.

Love the staff, good cheap drinks, and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately there's often only 1 person on bar even when it's rammed so the staff are stressed, and trying to contact the management to book the venue is absolutely impossible.

Unpretentious bar with the usual options & with plenty of outdoor seating. Surrounded by a good atmosphere on a Friday night.

Shout out to the young guy in the orange and black fleece serving during the england game July 6th. Manned the whole bar by himself with absolute class. Manager- you owe him a pint for that stellar effort!!

Great bouncer. Happy to have a laugh and make a fun night, while doing his job. Great stuff!!!

Great service from the person behind the bar despite being left alone during the England v Wales six nations match. Dealt incredibly with a very busy bar calmly and with a fantastic attitude

The guy behind the bar is worth his weight in gold. How on earth he kept serving everyone and clearing up after folk is beyond me. Great pub.

Good quality drinks at lower prices

Popped in the boardroom several times in our time in Bristol. The drinks were good and the bar staff were very friendly. The pub seemed to be open until late most nights. Plenty of board games available if you so wanted and plenty of people seem to make use of them. I will definitely return if I'm back in Bristol.

Great pub nestled in the heart of Bristol, nice atmosphere with a selection of board games and a retro space invaders table. A good choice of beers, open late, and friendly staff. Shame there isn’t any bar food.

Taken in on a stag do but it's the kind of bar I would go to if I lived in the area. Reasonable prices, funky decor and games to play

I've just been upstairs to the Blues Dance glad on Mondays at 7:30pm and it was great, good atmosphere

Chill lil place with good beer and board games

The kind of pub where they play Red Hot Chilli Peppers… makes the pint taste better. Vibe.

Good homely pub, no handpulled beer, but a good selection of beers, decor is more functional than beautiful.

Good little bar/ pub shout out to Dean was very friendly and always gave swift service.

A perfectly fine bar in the pretty old town. A few good beers to choose from and the seating area in the street was a good spot to watch the world go by.

Quite a small pub in Bristol Town and not much space to move around but staff were efficient at the bar and we had a lot of fun. DJ played some bangers whilst we were there on a Friday night. Great way to kick off our evening.

Fantastic bar and reasonable prices. Came with a large party and played games. Staff were professional and lovely, our server Kieran was very attentive, knowledge of all cocktails we requested made it even better. Would absolutely come again!

Lots to look at. Bar man was kind enough to find us and returning belongings which a friend had left behind. Nice Halloween decor.

This pub is so lovely and young. One of my favourite places in the city.

Went on Sunday night as on holiday with my boyfriend and the two girls working were incredibly rude to both of us giving dirty looks and making not only us but other people in the bar very uncomfortable and unwelcome even after us leaving tips after every drink we purchased. This caused us to actually drink elsewhere. Apart from that the atmosphere and vibe of the bar was great.

When we arrived at the Boardroom every table was taken apart from 4 in the back. Which where marked up reserved. But member of staff told us if we Happy to wait 5 more minutes if no one turned up it was all ours . Very friendly good service .

The service was good and with a smile, the sunday lunch was very large, the beef however was not the best, on the whole we enjoyed our experience

Great place, lovely staff and well priced. Can get a bit crowded and busy at times, and gets a little tricky to make it to the bar, but that speaks to how popular it is more than anything. Recommended.

Friendly staff, good upstairs room for medium gatherings (Contact staff!) sometimes festive drinks, street is alive. Prices are ok when compared to the surrounding.

Only one real ale and I couldn't drink it because it was not pleasant.

Two nights in Bristol and popped in for an early drink each evening. Sandra was brilliant...chatty and welcoming. Recommended
