As an afghan I would say that this food doesn’t represent afghani 🇦🇫food ,it’s totally a scam we came all the way from Birmingham and this was the only afghan spot so we had to go there but it was a nightmare.

I was enticed by the atmosphere but came to love everything about this place - food, service, music! A hidden gem.

I visited this restaurant with my family on weekend... the staff was extremely rude and by the face of it appeared stoned.... there was a mess in the corner and I just asked them to clean the mess but they violently responded.....there was exchange of harsh words on both sides and we were about to get into fight when I left because of my family....

Totally waste of money. I visited this place last night but the food wasn’t fresh, very poor service, the atmosphere is not as standard as how a restaurant should be. It’s written on their website they are open till 11 pm however, I arrived there just after 9pm with my friends and placed our order, when we asked for more rice and bread they said “can’t you eat the rest of your curry without rice and bread? the chef’s left before 9pm as it’s too late”. So, we asked for the bill straightaway and they didn’t give us any written slip and tried to over charge us, on top of that they’re asking to pay more money than the bill as it’s late (around 10pm). Ain’t recommend anyone to go there.

One of the worst afghani restaurant I ever seen in my life, we come with friends for afghani food and foods was useless and second we asked about afghani bread and he said take parta , is this joke, or what.. I recommended please don't visit this restaurant, it is only name of afghani nothing else..

Afghan Tasty Corner is a wonderful community space, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Would definitely reccomend for a meal with friends/coworkers/family. Everyone can eat if they want because of their wonderful donation based system. The owner is wonderful and has set up a community group on WhatsApp to provide locals with a space to provide each other mutual aid.

They have delicious vegan food and the best juices in Bristol! Such great community spirit too. I always feel very welcome and looked after. They often have great music and interesting events happening. Its great that its pay-as-you-feel, so good to see real solidarity in action, building trust in humanity. Totally recommend x

Hate This Place Rice and everything are Three or week ago scammed take extra money

To be honest the worse Afghans food I ever had and I been eating in many Afghans, Pakistan or Kurdish restaurants. Food a bit tasteless, I can cook much better at home even not being Afghany woman. Also I almost broke my tooth as I had a small stones inside the rice. 2 stars only for the owner as he seems to be good guy

The food was lovely as was the service! We went for a very early lunch so it was just us, which worked out for us since our toddler was running around like a banshee. One of the cooks was very kind and played catch with our toddler for a good ten minutes so we could have our meal. The food was lovely and this place had such a caring, community coming together vibe to it!

They didn't have much when we arrived but made sure we went away with enough to feed all, amazing people and have a "pay as you feel" service. They help the needy and serve amazing food what more can I say.

Lovely space, great prices, friendly staff, food was excellent, I am vegan and had a lovely curry. My meat eating friend had chicken and felt it could have been served hotter.

Amazing value for money and great quality food! Their aubergine curry in a tomato sauce is one of my favourite dishes ever and i can’t ever get enough. I recommend this place to all my friends

Never had any vegan curries taste this good. Went here to try their Kabuli Pulav with Lamb unfortunately it was closing time. So I decided to get Aubgine and Chikpea Curry as sides with the Pulav and it was soo good. Going back again to try their menu for sure.

Great selection of vegan, beautiful food! We had the kidney beans and the cauliflower with rice and they gave us generous portions with salad and two types of chilli sauce made fresh. Also had carrot juice with ginger. The community spirit is strong here with an open mic night, message board and art events. Gem of a place and always glad we came!

One of the best meals I’ve had in Bristol, super delicious amazing food (and we had everything vegan!!) staff are kind and so talented in the kitchen. The whole ethos of pay what you can is beautiful, lovely community hub and place to try some amazing afghani food. Make sure you get there early before things run out!!!

The food here is AMAZING! We had a takeaway which we ordered and collected. You have to try the aubergine and the fresh breads are delicious. Keep up the great work!

What a wonderful place! A great selection of delicious dishes, veggie and meat. All great value. The owners are very kind and are focused on creating an inclusive 'unity community'. They also host music nights. This place is worth going to! You also get green tea!

Beautiful food, big portions, friendly staff

Delicious food and amazing service. Khano is a great chef who cooks authentic, fresh and tasty Afghan food. He is accompanied by his colleagues who provide you with great service and even some songs. One of the best things about this restaurant is that you pay what you can. The money you pay towards your meal and any tips go towards feeding those less fortunate/people who are unable to pay. This is a wonderful philosophy to have and I’m very happy to contribute towards this great business again in the future. Thanks again to Khano, Skylar and the rest of Afghan Tasty Corner.

We had great food and two musicians livened up the lunch. Atmosphere was great, Skylar provided a brilliant and friendly service. Chapali kebab was delicious, perfectly cooked and juicy.
