Después de intentar comer en el nuevo italiano cercano y descubrir que no tenían artículos en el menú que pedimos decidimos probar aquí. No esperaba grandes cosas, pero nos sorprendió gratamente. Las costillas eran increíbles, tan tiernas y sabrosas y las patatas realmente fueron cortadas a mano. Mi marido disfrutó de su sal y pimienta pollo con patatas fritas. El pastel de queso era encantador también. Tendré que volver para tener esas costillas pronto

Marido recomendó este lugar después de visitar con amigos y la comida era increíble! Sal y pimienta de pollo y Halloumi para empezar fue excepcional. Hamburguesa con queso y pastel de cebolla delicioso. No pude terminar el pastel, ya que estaba tan lleno, pero metí la cabeza en el chef solo para transmitir lo bueno que pensaba que era la comida! ¡No puedo esperar a volver!

Qué pub tan encantador. El saludo fue cálido al igual que todo el servicio que experimentamos. La comida era buena y a un precio razonable. El ambiente era apropiado y del tipo que me gusta en un pub. Los Punters eran de jóvenes a mayores (como yo ya que tengo casi 80 años). No puedo esperar para volver

Tuvimos una deliciosa comida en la Sirena Taberna. El chef es excepcional, la comida es absolutamente excepcional. Ambiente brillante también.

Primeros. Reservamos una mesa en la zona de restaurantes. Pide nachos y pastel de carne. Los nachos eran realmente increíble y definitivamente superior a cualquier cosa que se obtiene en otros pubs. ¡El pastel de carne era perfecto! Sin duda volveré para probar el resto del menú.

Nos reservaron a las 5. 45 . Tardé un tiempo en pedir bebidas en el restaurante, me di cuenta de que los servidores en el restaurante también estaban ejecutando comida a bar. Sólo 2 de ellos. Pedí comida y luego esperé 40 minutos para hamburguesas y pescado. Una vez más el personal corrió harapiento sirviendo al bar. Bastantes mesas empezaban a agitarse, esperaban más que nosotros y algunas iban claramente al teatro. Mesa detrás de nosotros se rindió y sólo pagó por bebidas y se fue. Los servidores eran apologéticos, el chef parecía descortés. Si tienes un restaurante lleno, debes contenerte con las órdenes del bar o apoyar con más personal. Hemos estado antes, pero no un sábado por la noche. Me gusta la comida , me encanta el personal pero tendré que pensar mucho en gastar £ 60 en 3 comidas con largas esperas y cerveza en vasos de plástico no es lo que quiero. Lo siento. Ha sido tan bueno en el pasado.

Decidimos ir hoy como. Estaba un poco decepcionado si soy honesto. El pan de ajo estaba demasiado cocido y negro. Era una tostada de masa madre con ajo. No vale la pena el precio. Tengo el pastel que era precioso. Los chips parecían haber sido calentados. Mi marido consiguió langostino pilpilpil que también vino en pan de masa madre por aproximadamente £ 9. 50 . Ni de lejos lo suficientemente bueno para los precios cobrando

We visited today and ordered the salt and pepper chicken pieces ( small plate ) halloumi fries, chicken Caesar salad and garlic bread between us, the two female staff where very friendly and talkative. The food was absolutely unreal enjoyed every bit of it!! Never had garlic bread like it! 10 out of 10 for everything, staff, food and atmosphere we will definitely return.

This was the first time my wife and I have been to this restaurant. We hadn’t booked but the manager was able to find us a table to accommodate a wheelchair. We both had the Sunday roast. My wife lamb and beef for me, both meals loverly. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only downside for me was my beer was served in a plastic glass. We will be going again. Thank you

Got charged an amazing £6.50 for a pint of Neck Oil. It’s a nice pub with comfy seats and good tv screens but massively over priced.

I went today because I saw a review by the Scouse ghetto gourmet. Absolutely was not disappointed. Really sorry I couldn’t leave a tip as we had no cash so I think I’ll waitress really deserves this review - tall lady white T-shirt today on this afternoon. Really good when you get service with they’re actually really genuinely nice people and interested in doing their job properly. Food was really, really good so as far as I am concerned, this is one of the best in the area. Me and my son went for the specials which is a chicken and mozzarella burger which was absolutely divine. The home-made coleslaw was gorgeous. My wife had the fish sandwich which again was really, really good. . Definitely worth a visit .

Really disappointed. Having been there for half an hour the drinks still hadn’t turned up. No food therefore decided to leave. The waitress apologized but understood it was best to leave. The family on the next table said they had waited 1 hour and 20 mins for their food. Won’t go again first impression was unorganized understaffed, not good when you have hungry children with you.

Really good food. Great staff. Brilliant service and family atmosphere. Would definitely return and recommend. Sunday lunch menu had great variety.

Staff were amazing. Very attentive, friendly and on the ball. Starters were lovely and so reasonably priced! But the Sunday roast was way overpriced for what it was. Hubby opted for lamb shank, which could probably just about justify the £24 cost (albeit it was fatty) but my one slice of Turkey roast was nowhere near £24s worth! One piece of broccoli was just hilarious. Pudding was also very well priced and tasted great - just a shame it was freezing in some places and Luke warm in others (Crème brûlée) Would return to try it again but would steer clear of the overpriced roasts.

Food best we have ever had..with a good choice .. reasonable price .. quite unbelievable standard for a local establishment..really lovely attentive staff.. great atmosphere.. chef amazing

Friendly and attentive staff, couldn't do enough to help. Really speedy service with well-made drinks. This is our 3rd visit and remains one of our favourites.

Tried Mermaid Tavern today with my friends and we all had Breakfast Toastie and the food was excellent. Really nice environment

Absolutely amazing…can’t beat the Sunday roasts in this place…recommend the roast beef. Staff are very attentive and give great service 5 star place and one of the best places for a Sunday roast

Had a lovely lunch here with colleagues, the food was very tasty & fresh. It's a great new restaurant in an rejuvenated area right opposite the Shakespeare Theatre. Looking forward to our next visit, it would be helpful if the menu was online, thank you.

I had a amazing club sandwich here and my sister had the fish finger sandwich both very tasty 😋 loads of variety to choose from
