The Meat Co in Hammersmith and Fulham

Much like the Banc I would put this up with some of the best halal food in the city with the added factor that there is no dress code it is a fantastic place to visit and try. Whether you want a burger,rips or steaks you will not be disappointed as it is a fantastic dining experience. The whole atmosphere is also very grand and warming.

Tuve la peor mesa tan pequeña y sucia de las personas anteriores. permítanme decirles que pagamos MUCHO por un servicio que fue increíble. la recepcionista fue tan grosera y el gerente BOLD fue tan poco profesional también. la comida no era nada especial y además recibí vasos sucios como si ni siquiera supieras cómo usar la lavadora ahora. ? ? . Juro que nunca estaría más cerca del restaurante y realmente espero que cambien las cosas porque es una basura. ! ! ! !

Great place. Wonderful and diverse meat selection. Ribs cooked to perfection. Curry Shrimp and rice also great. Oxtail fell off the bone in rich delicious broth. Ambience is fantastic and versatile for different occasions. Try the peanut butter cheese cake. Yummm

Food was lovely I had oxtail and mash which was delicious and my friend had a rib burger both were cooked well and served beautifully. I would go there again although the waiters could be a little less rushed and wait for me to say my whole order before rushing off

I had spent my third day in a row in London Westfield shopping centre looking for furniture for my daughter's new flat and given it was Saturday night wanted a little more sophistication this time than Nandos so headed for the Meat Company which is a short walk from the main shopping area. Reception is downstairs and first impressions are good with a nice reception and waiting area and after a short wait we were seated. This restaurant scores high for ambience with a long room full of beautifully set tables, low lights and nice wine and kitchen features. I ordered the connoisseurs choice, a rib eye on the bone, hand cut chips and brocollini with ginger and garlic. My daughter had the gourmet burger (small size) and it was huge! Cannot complain about the food it was very good but given it was the connoisseurs choice and a bit pricey it was probably not in my top 10 of steakhouses! The burger was also delicious - I tried it! The ambience makes a nice setting for romantic Saturday night dinner if you don't mind half the restuarant being full of shoppers - lol!

Took both my daughters in law on a night out at Westfield W12. It was great to walk into Meat Co, get a table straight away and be served by a very gorgeous waiter. I'm sorry but your name escapes. Gorgeous Asian. You know who you are. There was a bit of a mixup with the fish order but you quickly rectified it and my daughter got what she ordered within minutes. It happens but Well done. Thank you for your great hospitality. Deffo will recommend and return soon. I was told that you will get a bonus. Here's hoping you do

First we were seated and given the menu but no drinks menu even though guys asking us for what drinks we want to order. When we asked for the menu he assumed we already know what to order considering we only got the menu. We ordered wings which were burnt. The prawns were nice. Then we got the skewers. The skewers were set on our table and we were left to it. As we were trying to cut it off another waiter came and said we ain't supposed to do that and the other waiters should have taken the meat off for us. So the service was not great, the Asian guy with glasses really wasn't great at service. The skewers were tasty though. But found better service in a less priced restaurant

First of all, the management's is shaize. They push the staff, to the limit, 2 deliver, without offering the proper tools. There is 1 sanitizer 4 the whole restaurant!

Date of visit: Saturday 8th February.My family travelled from Leicester for a special celebratory birthday meal for my brother. There were 11 of us in the party including 3 children and one baby 6 months old. Our table was reserved for 8pm but we had to wait 30 mins before being seated. We were seated on a round table next to the kitchen. Once seated, we noticed a table of similar size next to us but against the wall. We requested if we could move to the table against the wall since we had children with us including a baby on a high chair. We thought this could be more comfortable for our party. A waiter in our area said that was no problem and sat us down on the table against the wall. 10 mins later an irate waitress said we couldn’t sit there since the table was reserved. We explained we’d asked and had been told this was ok. She then walked away in a strop half way through a conversation!This left us feeling upset since she was so rude. And not to mention, the original table could seat the same number of people.Moving on, our order wasn’t taken until 30 mins later and our food didn’t arrive until 40 mins after that! So it was 9.45 before our meals arrived. Kids meals arrived first which was a huge disappointment. The pasta was literally bland pasta with plain tomato sauce. It was inedible!When our steaks arrived, all of which we’d asked - we ordered grain fed fillet and rib-eye (not cheap at around £50 a meal!) for nearly all of us with sides. We all asked for medium cooked. As you know, with steak if it is not cooked to how you ask, it’s not the meal you ordered and makes all the difference.The steak was not medium but rather well done. Not pink inside. We mentioned this to the waiter and he called a manager who took 15 mins to arrive and we were so hungry that we continued with our meal but hadn’t even eaten half. ‘Linda’ agreed it wasn’t medium but since we had eaten some, she couldn’t do anything about it. To be honest we were absolutely livid.She didn’t apologise about the behaviour from the waitress at the start and when she returned again later with the bill, she expected us to be happy that she had discounted £20 from the bill on a bill of £350.Shame that this is how you value customer service. Needless to say I won’t be visiting this restaurant ever again and will do my best to talk others out of visiting too. There’s plenty of choice in London who value their service to their customers better than this terrible restaurant do!

Went to Meat & Co for my anniversary. There was a hair in my steak. I'm not so much annoyed about this but was more frustrated at the attitude from the Manager. Firstly, she denied that there was a hair making me feel as if I was lying about it. Secondly, they expected my boyfriend to eat his food whilst i watched him for 30 minutes whilst a new steak was cooked. Had to keep pushing for our food to come together, rolled her eyes took all the food and brought back the food altogether. Bad experience on this occasion but have previously had a good experience at this restaurant.

Very noisy, nice food, fast but not friendly service, felt rushed and not very relaxed. Ok for a big group.

Second visit. Food was great as always. Service was abit of a let down. Long waits for waiting staff despite not being busy. Waiting staff did not come across as very friendly or enthusiastic.

We went at about 12.15 on a wet Thursday and ordered Chipotle chicken, one came without colslaw and one without chips,, the chicken was obviously warmed up from the day before as was as dry as a flip flop, no one about to complain too and we ate because we were hungry and in a rush to catch a train. :( the manager came around to ask when our plates had been taken away and offered us something else to eat and looked totally bemused by our complaint. would NOT recommend at all as there are numerous other eateries in the area.

Food was delicious. Something for everyone ! The only downfall was the waiting time. Took too long both good and dessert. Not practical with children who are hungry and tired.

Very overpriced for the quality of steak. Also not keen on the glaze they put on all the steaks. Had I been told about the glaze I would have asked to have my steak without it.

Food was prepared in good time, great quality, hot on arrival and cooked perfectly. Every person that worked that day was extremely polite and helpful especially our waiter.

First time eating at The Meat Co and it was amazing. As soon as i entered the reception team were very polite and communicated well. When we got seated our waiter named Professor came to us and asked us if we needed water. That made us more comfortable and already had given us a good first impression. Overall the food was amazing, for starters i ordered red Chill Prawns , Salt and Pepper Calamari and Rib Cigars. I highly recommend them as the Prawns were nicely cooked, not too spicy. The Salt and Pepper Calamari was also nicely cooked, The "nam jim sauce" that came with it was sweet and had a hint of spice. 10/10 and lastly the Rib Meat Cigars were wonderful. Me and my partner ordered a T-BONE (700g) and Wagyu Rib Eye (400g) with chips and mushroom sauce. We both asked for it to be medium and when they arrived they were cooked how we wanted it to be. Perfect couldn't ask for anything better. As we were eating a lovely Manager, very polite named Ali came and checked up on us. Overall everything was amazing, deffoo recommend this restaurant for a date.

Food was great. Location was fine. The greeting when we first entered could have been a lot better. First we had to wait for the two ladies to finish their conversation... and then there was confusion - they didn’t know if we had a booking but sent us upstairs anyway.

I arrived after a recomendation and I tried the T bone stake. Was good but not perfect. Oven Potatoes excellent, the desserts superior good service but the dirty bathrooms are not a serious presentation for what we paid for....I reccomend the restaurant even if I consider price high for meat quality..!

Even though I have been here several times before and I've loved the food and service. This time around it was not the same. I ordered the 300g Wagyu beef and they served me dry aged beef, which I didn't complain at the time due to it being very busy as it was valentines day. I told them to remove the service charge and give me my bill. I was shocked to be served dry aged beef, as I was paying £60 for a 300g portion of Wagyu. I am not happy with being fobbed off. My partner ordered the basic beef that they have and it was a lot more softer and nicer than my supposedly Wagyu beef. Not happy. Service was rushed, very noisy, and staff did not seem to care and were running around hectically.

Went there for valentines 2020, the food was as awesome as it always has been. Service is always good as well

The butchers skewer was spot on cooked to perfection but such a shame that the chips over cookef and barely edible. Other than that it was a good experience.

I came her back in 2015, I really enjoyed my meal. I don’t think they do the same thing anymore. Anyway I tried the rib eye steak, it was okay but I have had much better steak for the same price. Seeing as they serve halal only meat I was surprised they didn’t have a corner for me to pray.

I went here with family on a Sunday for dinner before we got our trains. The staff here are not the best, they are slow and a bit rude but there is one or two who were friendly and accommodating. The food was alright, I enjoyed the chicken thigh skewers and we enjoyed the chicken breast dish as well. The steak which is meant to be the main attraction was not enjoyed by my brother, he said it had a sweet and sour taste, which the staff attributed to the sauce, which turned out he didn't even order. Anyways I won't say I won't return cause I enjoyed it but with so many options around you could give it a miss.

The food is really nice. It wasn't my first time in this restaurant and this time there was one waiter who was welcoming and always smiling, his name is Sergio! I will definitely come back!

Salt shaker on the table was broken. I asked the waiter about it. He returned it to us with the screw loose and it broke apart all overy friends phone, salt going everywhere.

Interior looks dilapidated, tables were poorly cleaned. quality of food was average. Not really great value for money. It felt overpriced to be honest and we’ve been many times before. Please increase your cleanliness, overall atmosphere and value for money.

Four of us dined here in December. We didn't have a reservation but they accomodated us graciously anyway (the restaurant was quite full). Only down-side was walking up all those stairs but otherwise, a fantastic experience all-in-all. It's pricey but worth every penny... This was definitely the best dining experience we had in London this trip - we all had different dishes and every dish was beautifully prepared, tasty and done perfectly... We got chatting to a couple sitting next to us and they also had a fantastic night so it wasn't just us! Maybe we had a lucky night (looking at some of the other reviews) - we'll see on our next visit as we will definitely be having dinner at The Meat Co when we do...

overcooked overpriced I had a steak it was tasteless overcooked and it was too expensive it’s not worth it paying this much money when your food doesn’t taste nice it’s the most disgusting food I ever tasted

Negative Service (we arrived while it was fairly quiet) after nearly half an hour of waiting I had to go to the front desk to ask for someone to introduce themselves and take our order. Our waitress was extremely moody and should quite honestly find herself another profession as she wasn’t the the right fit for our bubbly table. This put a downer on the night. Having not visited in a few years I was really excited to come back but it isn’t acceptable to have servers looking after one section and neglecting the other. The starters arrived before our drinks due to ‘the bartender being new’ but after waiting for half an hour in the first instance, you can understand why this was disappointing. Lifts were out of order - not an issue for me personally but one of my friends recently had surgery and it took her a while to get up the stairs. Guests should be informed! We had another tables order added to our bill so yet again we were let down. We didn’t pay the service charge and there was only 1 member of staff who apologised and he wasn’t serving our table. Positive Receptionist downstairs was lovely and polite. The food and drinks were outstanding - go for the Zombie cocktail and Moscato for dessert wine. I ordered the boneless whole chicken with mash and it was divine! The music was great whilst it was quiet. It’s rare that you go to a restaurant and hear R&B - Summer Walker, H.E.R., et al. It really was refreshing. Once an older crowd came in, the music was changed but we had enjoyed the previous selection so much that we didn’t really notice! The toilets were very clean. They are unisex but they’re very well maintained! Bravo! Overall This restaurant has the potential to blow your mind away but a few things let us down. The service made me question the value for my money. I won’t hurry back which is a shame.

The food was great. However, some of the staff were so miserable it was unbelievable. Ruins the whole experience, it’s a shame as the food itself was delicious and portion size was good too. They did get my order wrong too.

I came with my partner the other day, first time! absolutely loved the food, quite pricey but can’t complain as it was worth it. The staff were polite and helpful - spoke with a waitress named Chelsea, beautiful young lady, we conversed about a lot of things, she made sure me and my partner were satisfied and made us feel very welcome. Don’t come across a lot of waiters with a happy welcoming vibe, so overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be coming back. Will be recommending friends and family :)

This restaurant has gone down in my ratings. It was a disaster from start to finish. I have visited a few times but I will never return. On my arrival the receptionist called Chelsea dismissed myself and my partner and told the couple behind us to go upstairs. She then proceeded to out a cigarette in the bin at reception. I had to tell her that we had a reservation for her to take any notice of us. We were then seated at our table and all the staff were huddled together in groups chatting away. It took Twenty minutes for anyone to take our order. The same receptionist then came upstairs and proceeded to give me dirty glares across the restaurant whilst walking around with a toothpick in her mouth. I will never return to Meat and co because staff are rude and untrained. For the price you would expect better service. Stay away there are much better restaurants out there. I complained to the manager who just dismissed what I was saying. Never again will you get my money. You need to sack all your waiting staff or retrain them. Very very poor.

We have eaten here a number of times over the years, but will not be returning. The food was ok, but the concept of customer service seems to have been largely abandoned. Last time we attended service was slow and a bit disinterested, but we decided to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Tonight’s performance however takes the biscuit.

Very disappointed with this place. Service was poor; felt unwelcomed. Was given microwaved rice: this dish was labelled as 'the house special for a decade'. The slow cooked beef ribs had the membrane left on it. £60 steak - had to spit out sinew. Would not recommed to other, whens there are other places out there who give a better food and service at a fraction of the price without promising the world.

Although the food is always on point, the service on this occasion was not great. The waiters were not attentive and it wasn’t busy. What really let me down was that this was a birthday meal where I requested a cake topped with a candle be bought out at the end of the mains for my husband - this didn’t happen. If they couldn’t accommodate this they should have told me when I booked the table. I’ve always requested this before and they have delivered - so disappointed on this occasion.

Can’t fault the food it was such a high quality. Only reason I didn’t give five stars was because I felt the waiters could’ve been a bit more attentive and vocal. Toilets weren’t at a quality you’d expect at such an establishment either.

Service was slow waited around an hour for all of our meals. Waiter didn’t really pay us any attention. Asked for a gluten free menu (there isn’t one). Was told choice which were very limited. Then about half an hour before the meal arrived the manager then came up and said how bad is your intolerance, as there is wheat in the kitchen. Finally with reassurance given to the manager that it was fine as long as they didn’t cook any of the food with wheat in it, it wouldn’t be an issues. Then waited around half hour for them to clear plates which you didn’t do as we were so pissed off we asked for the bills. Will definitely not be returning anytime soon. Your service and waiters provide a very poor service. And then to try and add 12% service charge to our bill. Service charge you have got a cheek!

Nice place, friendly staff, good food and an overall nice experience.

The worst part of this place is that the waiters are not following up their customers. We had to call them everytime even for the first order. The place was half empty hence not busy at all. Food was OK though.

Bad customer service I am a returning customer today I travelled one hour and 30 minutes to have a meal with three of my colleagues are highly recommended your restaurant so we travel from Essex All the way to Shepherd’s Bush in traffic Christmas Eve so you can see why I’m disappointed I got there at 6 o’clock at the woman in the reception table for three she said to me that we are closed and I said how could you because I checked the website and he says 10.30pm on your website said to you what is the last sitting she said 5.40pm as its only for 15 minutes late I’m sure you can Find me a table I will travel from Essex I even showed them My phone and my journey on Google Maps that I was not lying to them I have travelled one half hour to get to this place I asked to see the manager explained the situation to him too I found that there was too eager to go home instead of giving customer service I told the manager look on your website what time it says that you close He said yes 1030pm but he can’t do nothing about it because the website has not been updated so can’t do nothing for me.So pissed off but customer service

Will not be visiting this restaurant again, the food is over priced. I had the T-bone steak and for the price of £55 it was not worth it and it had no taste what so ever, the fries you could count on one hand, out of the six of us who sat down none of the food had any taste and was just bland.... Miller and carter here we come......

It’s really not worth the money. We were seated next to a table with a group of 10 or so people which were unbelievably noisy. Up to the point that we weren’t able to hear each other. While the other half of the area was empty, we were told - the person responsible for that area has finished already. After some negotiation we were finally seated in quieter area. The service was a mess - we were brought other people’s orders twice. The water that we had asked for arrived by the end of the dinner. If you charge ~200 pounds for a dinner for two - please make sure you provide corresponding quality of service.

What an excellent Restaurant. The food and the service were superb. Great for large party of people and family. It’s well recommended. Suitable after shopping at Westfield.

Always a safe choice when it comes to meat. My only piece of advice is to ask for a clean piece of beef ribs as mine was full of fat...

Tuvimos que esperar un tiempo para que el camarero tomara nuestro pedido, pedimos nuestra comida y ni siquiera habíamos preguntado qué queríamos beber. Nos dio una lista de vinos medio llena solo después de que preguntamos si era la correcta.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the starters and main courses. The steak, which two of us had was too fatty.

I had a table booked for 8:45. At 10:15 I called it because I had not got my dinner and cancelled it and left. I was not offered a discount!

I have been a few times to Meat Co. - it is overrated for the value of the meal! The ambiance and decor great as always looks like a fine dining experience - the receptionist staff downstairs don't look too bothered to be there not very welcoming. Our waitress was lovely and on few occasions have gone above and beyond when we have been there. The food was not great though, was tasteless - the mac and cheese was super bland - was cold literally the pasta was still wet is only how i can describe it, chicken wings were amazing! and the rib eye steak was ok - amazed you now charge for the sauces on the side of the steak which used to be included as one of the sides I'm sure, the hand cut chips were amazing as always! and the ribs were mediocre probably want the meat to slide off the bone and it was quite tough. (didn't quite get to the dessert which is usually fabulous the mandela cake)

Very disappointing that having booked stating I was gluten free and calling beforehand - it was all too much hassle on the evening. The Manager on duty had very little to no knowledge of what gluten free was and despite the allergen menu stating I could eat the red chilli prawns starter tried to tell me that rice was not gluten free!!! The chef in charge of the kitchen (not the head chef the evening I was there) asked me for a definition of gluten free – which was probably the most worrying. HOWEVER the only saving grace was the lovey waiter Sam who had remembered my group from last year and had excellent knowledge of what I could and I couldn’t eat.

Good Day, We ordered two fillet steaks, medium. The steaks we received were both dry and tasteless and were not worth the cost at all. If I am going to buy a steak for £40 odd, I expect it to be at least as good as what I can purchase from Tesco and good at home. Regards.

Dinner out as family. Food was all lovely and perfectly cooked. Recommend Arancini, prawns, garlic bread, chicken wings Steak (prime ribeye) cooked properly to medium, butchers skewer and burger All were full of flavours, especially their basting sauce. Mock tails aren’t very sweet so check before ordering if you like them a bit sweeter(minor) Open plan can make it a bit noisier so expect that on a Saturday night. All in all I Would not hesitate to recommend. Great dining experience.

I thought the food here was decent. However the staff need upgrading. Walked in and was ignored by the greeting staff (you have one job) then without direction i accidently walked into an adjecent restaurant thinking it was meat and co. After realising I went back to my greeting staff, who told me I needed to wait whilst he radios upstairs to find a table. After 5 minutes I was told it was OK for me to go up the mystery stairs. To find a less than half full floor. Was shown to the table, I had to wipe off all the leftover food and crumbs on my seat from the previous customer, my seater just smiling. Ordered the seabass which was nice, but it came out piping hot and stayed piping hot for 5 minutes suggesting this was originally grilled beforehand and then microwaved for my order. Trying to get someones attention was a skill set in itself. No check back came with the meal. Payment waiter barely acknowledged me whilst taking my card.

I was very disappointed with my first visit to The Meat Co. Our table was booked for 12.30 which I believe is their first lunch sitting. We were served wine stored in a fridge that was switched off overnight (our waiters admission after I queried temperature), service was shocking with waiter a) attempting to fill wine glass to the brim despite complaints re wine temperature b) not paying any attention to what was happening on the table - attempting to clear plates before everyone in our party had finished eating and topping up glasses despite clear instructions that certain people at the table did not want anymore wine. The food was also below my expectations and I wouldn't return nor recommend the restaurant.

The food was fantastic. The ambience was good and the waiters gave a good service. The prices are on the high side. Highly recommend it.

Amazing place to have a intimate or group dinner. The steak just melted in my mouth, service was spot on. Great halal options.... I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only thing I probably wouldn't shout about is the unisex toilets.... it felt a bit awkward washing my hands with a random bloke checking himself out...other than that I was a very happy diner at this lovely restaurant.

Late lunch with family. Cocktails were very tasty. Food was average, nothing special. The chip portion was small. One of my party had an issue with their meal but overall no complaints. The service started off very well but was pretty non existant after our mains. Great drinks but have had better food for the price charged.

I’ve had it a couple of times in the past and have to say it’s one of the best steak places i’ve been to. Having dined this weekend, it was one of the worst experiences at a steak place. The food was very poor!

My wife and i were too nice to send the food back. We decided to have a chicken skewer main as a starter but it was cold and cook rare instead of medium rear. The ribs were lovely and tender but the Oxtail had way too many peppers and this included those buried in the mash. Sadly, we will not be returning. Meat Co in Dubai was far better.

Great evening at The Meat Co.! Food was well seasoned and very tasty, will definitely be going back again!

The beef ribs are as lovely as ever, their burgers were also great. Price of course is on the costly side, but it’s very reasonable if the bill is split between friends.

Amazing meat. Great service. And bill smaller than expected.

Had dinner today with a business associate. I had the rib cigars and Oxtail. My friend had the wings and beef rib burger. We absolutely enjoyed our food. It's well worth the price. Had the peanut butter desert. And finished off with a Zombie cocktail. A very pleasant restaurant with fantastic ambiance. Our waiter Joan, very attentive and accommodating. Top service and food. Will be back again soon.

This was my 1st visit based on recommendations from a friend. The decor and ambiance were perfect and the reception staff were very professional and courteous. The lady that served us was pleasant enough, as for the rest of the staff and the level of service it was terribly poor, much to my disappointment the drinks ordered were incorrect, baring in mind it felt like a quiet period for them, when we mentioned this in mid sentence the waitress walked off and came back with the correct drink orders. starter arrived on time, most of the staff looked unhappy and tired. the mains arrived, we ordered burgers and ribs, the waitress put the food down and did not offer any condiments, when i alerted her to this again she walked off mid sentence came back with only enough for 1 person. The energy was not right for whatever reason, and i never usually write bad reviews ( if you dont have anything good to say, say nothing) but it was the worst service i have received in years! To anyone thinking of going, i would always say try for yourself however i am extremely disappointed. I really hope management and staff rectify this as this restaurant has the potential to be great!

Did not book but arrived around 5pm on a Friday - the place was empty and maybe this is why the food and service was very good - having read the previous reviews most of which were very bad when the restaurant was very busy - crack under pressure?? - The only criticism was that I thought it was a bit pricey

Llegué a las 7 pm para pedir una mesa y fue recibido por un equipo de recepción que parecía no tener interés en el servicio al cliente. Me dijeron que no tenían mesas, lo que por supuesto está bien, pero cuando me preguntaron cuánto tiempo pensaron que podría ser la espera, me dijeron que "podría ser 5 minutos o 2 horas". Después de preguntar 2 o 3 veces, finalmente cedí. Realmente sentí que no podían ser molestados.

Expecting to be blown away by the food but was a bit let down. Have tried other steakhouses and Meat Co is not at par with them. Ambience and service were excellent though.
